Today, I deeply mourn as my Former Secretary of Obanliku Local Government Council and team player, Late Deaconess Kate Ikwen was laid to rest

As Chairman of Council then, having Mrs Kate Ikwen as my Secretary was the best combination. She served faithfully and dedicatedly to amusement of all.

Her political passion and contribution to community development earned her a special recognition as a grassroot politician and best women mobilizer.

She was a devout Christian, and as a deaconess with the Assemblies of God, she lived a good and commendable Christian lifestyle.

We celebrate the life of a dedicated and loyal member of my team. Her tireless efforts and commitment to excellence will be deeply missed.

As we bid farewell, Dr Ikwen, the husband, family and love ones should take comfort in the memories of her kindness, professionalism, and warmth. My thoughts are with the family and loved ones during this difficult time.

May Kate's legacy inspire us to strive for greatness. May your gentle soul Rest in peace
