PRESS RELEASE:
Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Community Development Ibrahim Garba Hannun-Giwa has reiterates determination of the Ministry in curving the menace of human trafficking in the 27 Local Government areas of the state.

The Commissioner made this remark in his keynote address during the opening of One-day Sensitization Campaigns against the Evils and Dangers of Human trafficking in the state, which was organized by the State ministry for Local Government and Community development in conjunction with National Agency for Prohibition of trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP)

Hannun-Giwa further Stated that it is inline with aspiration of the present administration of Governor Umar A. Namadi to ensured that human capital development is achieved through all available avenue of human endeavours, but that could only be achieved when people of the 27 Local Governments become selves determines by jointly castigating the habit of
trafficking in human and looked inward for sourcing their greener posture withing their domains.

He said the State and Local Governments as part of their Comprehensive Development Framework are intensively embark on making conducive environments for people in the state to explore and project their potentials in all angle of opportunities which can help in boosting the state's Internally Generated Revenue by Multiplier effect.

the Commissioner who was represented at the event by the Director Social Development of the Ministry Alhaji Muhammad Mukkadas thanks NAPTIP for organizing the event at earnest moment of it's need.

All HODs Community, Hisba, Sectional Heads Social Welfare, Districts Heads, Chief Imams, as well as Members of Vigilante Group of Nigeria from the Local Governments of the Jigawa North West Senatorial Zone have attended the event that held at Mayaki Hall, in Kazaure. Kazaure Local Government.

The in-coming Commissioner for Local Government and Community Development Hon. Ibrahim Garba Hannun Giwa appealed for the support of entire staff of the Ministry for attainment of the targeted goals in the sector.

The Commissioner made the appeal when he was receiving a handing over of the affairs of the ministry by the out-going Commissioner Ahmed Garba MK.

He said the change followed a normal decision by the same government that both of them are serving for meeting the yearning and aspiration of the people in the state.

Hannun-Giwa said for the 12 point agenda of Governor Umar Namadi to be fully achieved, there must be a maximum cooperation of the entire staff.

In his earlier remark, the out-going Commissioner, Hon. Ahmed Garba MK, thanks Governor Umar Namadi for given him the chance to serve in the sector, mostly for the opportunity he was given that made him served with utmost decorum.

he called on the general staff to accord the new Commissioner a maximum cooperation for positive transformation of the sector.

The Changes followed recent redeployment which affect only three Commissioners in the state Executive Council, that resulted in Moving Ibrahim Garba Hannun Giwa to the Ministry for Local Government, from Ministry of Water Resources, Ahmed Garba MK to Ministry of Land, Housing and Urban Development from Ministry for Local Government while Muhammad Alhassan moved to Ministry of Water Resources, from Ministry of Land, Housing and Urban Development.

On the event of Handing over of the administrative affairs of the Ministry for Local Government by the outgoing Permanent Secretary Ibrahim Adamu Kakas to the Ag. Perm. Sec. of the Ministry Ismaila Yusuf also the Director Local Government Inspection.

The event was witnessed by The Hon. Commissioner Jigawa State Ministry for Local Government and Community Development and Community Development Ahmed Garba MK and all the Directors of the Ministry.
