PUBLIC NOTICE:

OUR PRINCIPAL, HON VICTOR HENRY HAS NOT NEGOTIATED TO STEP DOWN FOR ANY ASPIRANT IN EKET CHAIRMANSHIP RACE AND WILL NEVER.

Our attention has been drawn to a dirty garment of public ridicule decorated with unimaginable fallacies and libellous lies sewn and posted by one Manfred Ekpe Jnr, on the social media touching on the personality and integrity of our Principal, Hon Victor Henry who is vying for the chairmanship position of Eket Local Government Area in the forth coming local government election.

In the said post captioned, "Eket LG Election 2020, HOW THE NAMES OF 4 CHAIRMANSHIP ASPIRANTS IN EKET WERE CANCELLED FROM THE CLEARED LIST", Mr Manfred Ekpe Jnr alleged
that "beginning from Tuesday 18, August, a day after the Pat Ifon hatchet meeting at Govt House - - -, aspirants in Eket were invited for negotiations to step down for Alaba (a name for Hon Akan Tommy) at Venus Hotel, Shelter Afrique in Uyo".

He went further, "the aspirants who went for the negotiations were Hon Monday Ette Johnny, Hon Victor Henry and others".

We wouldn't have bothered, as it seems, to dignify his insinuations but because silence can sometimes be misconstrued to mean consent, we wish to state categorically clear that,

(1) Hon Victor Henry, a man of proven integrity, has not negotiated with anybody or group of persons, to step down for any aspirant, for whatever reasons, and will never do so.

(2) It should be noted that Hon Victor Henry has contested for the chairmanship position of Eket twice, this making the third time, and has never been noted to have stepped down on any of the occasions.

(3) The general public, good people of Eket and his teaming supporters should disregard such figment of lies and continue to look unto God who gives power to His ordained for victory against retrogressive forces.

I WILL GENERATE MASSIVE EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES WITHIN MY FIRST 100 DAYS IN OFFICE.

A front line Chairmanship aspirant in the forth coming local government election in Eket and former Vice Chairman of Eket local government area, Hon Victor Henry has vowed to generate massive employment opportunities for unemployed youths of the area within his first One Hundred days in office.

The Chairmanship hopeful made this known while answering questions from curious newsmen in Uyo over the weekend during the submission of his party nomination form.

Calm, effusive and confident, the erudite politician averred that with his wealth of experience in the mechanics of people oriented administration, he was sure to hit the ground running from his day one in office when given the mandate to serve.

"I am not new in the mechanics of local government administration, having served as a vice chairman of Council and I know what to do at the right time and where the shoe pinches", he said.

The needs of Eket as a local government area and the needs of the people are inseparable, I know how to stimulate and generate the informal sector of our economy for micro-economic benefit of the people', he maintained, adding that the potentialities and possibilities for employment and economic regeneration of Eket abounds within the belly of the area but untapped over the years.

"I will ensure that the buried aesthetic beauty of Eket as the capital of Akwa Ibom South Senatorial District is unearthed to compliment the efforts of Governor Udom Emmanuel's completion agenda', he said, stressing on the importance of environmental reawakening and security insurance for investors and residents of Eket.

EKET PEOPLE DESERVE THE BEST GOVERNANCE

Today marked another great day in the city of Eket as a credible Youth Group, EKID BELIEVERS FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE, led by its Chairman Mr. Idongesit Etukudo had their meeting and considered a choice for a better Chairmanship candidate who can deliver Democratic dividends to the good people of Eket.

After hours of deliberations in their meeting. The group finally paid a surprise visit to Hon. Victor Henry, former Vice Chairman of Eket Local Government. He is a serving Board Member appointed by His Excellency Governor Udom Emmanuel Akwa Ibom State Environmental Protection and Waste Management Agency.

The Hon. Victor Henry accepted the challenge to deliver good governance to the people of Eket Local Government Area if given the opportunity to serve in that capacity.

WHO IS HON. VICTOR HENRY?

• He served Eket people previously as a_Vice Chairman_, where his office piloted with the office of the Deputy Governor under the State Emergency Management Agency for the payment of moneys to cushion the effect of Flood that affected the good people of Eket.

• He is a former Supervisor of Agriculture in Eket Local Government.

• He is also a former Supervisor for Education and Sports in Eket Local Government.

• He is also a former Adviser on Chieftancy affairs in the Transition Government.

• He has a wide range of experience in Oil and Gas.

• He is a devoted Christian that believes that ONLY GOD gives power.

• He believes in Community development.

• He is married with beautiful family.

• He has a degree in Engineering.

With all this qualities and experience he is well armed to deliver Eket from the state of backwardness and restore her to her place of pride in the committee of Local Government.

We all need a representative who knows the problems and can identify with the grassroots.
