ESAN WEST LGA CHAIRMAN HOLDS SECURITY MEETING WITH VIGILANTE AND HUNTERS ASSOCIATION

The Chairman of Esan West Local Government Area, Hon. Blessing Albert Ebhodaghe, held a purposeful security meeting with officers of the Vigilante and Hunters Association as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen neighborhood watch and enhance community security across Esan West Local Government Area.

The meeting focused on strategies for improving surveillance, intelligence gathering, and collaboration between local security groups and relevant authorities in order to effectively tackle security challenges within the communities.

Hon. Ebhodaghe commended the dedication of the Vigilante and Hunters Association in safeguarding lives and property, emphasizing that their role remains vital in maintaining peace and stability at the grassroots level.

He encouraged the officers to remain vigilant, disciplined, and committed to working closely with security agencies to ensure a safer environment for residents of Esan West.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from all stakeholders to sustain cooperation and proactive measures in protecting communities across the Local Government Area.

WELDERS UNION OF NIGERIA, ESAN WEST CHAPTER, PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO ESAN WEST LGA CHAIRMAN

The Welders Union of Nigeria, Esan West Local Government Area Chapter, today, February 25, 2026, paid a working visit to the Chairman of Esan West Local Government Area, Hon. Blessing Albert Ebhodaghe (BB), at his office.

The visit was led by the leadership of the Union under the President, Mr. David Oyobe, accompanied by the Vice President, Mr. Benjamin Agbonghale, the Speaker of the House, Mr. Tony Pius, the Adviser, Ebhote Louis, and other members of the Union.

The purpose of the visit was to seek improved welfare for members of the Union and to express appreciation for the Chairman’s leadership support and commitment to artisans and grassroots development in Esan West Local Government Area.

Speaking during the visit, the Union leaders commended the Chairman for his inclusive leadership style and continuous engagement with trade groups and artisans, noting that his administration has created an enabling environment for skill-based workers to thrive.

In recognition of his outstanding leadership and support, the Welders Union of Nigeria, Esan West Chapter, presented an Award of Excellence to the Working Chairman, Hon. Blessing Albert Ebhodaghe.

In his response, the Chairman thanked the Union for the honour and reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to continue supporting artisans, improving welfare, and promoting skill development as key drivers of economic growth at the grassroots level.

ESAN WEST LGA CHAIRMAN HOLDS SECURITY MEETING WITH HAUSA–FULANI CATTLE MARKET LEADERS, ISSUES OPERATIONAL GUIDELINES

The Chairman of Esan West Local Government Area, Hon. Blessing Albert Ebhodaghe, today, February 26, 2026, held a crucial security meeting with leaders of the Hausa–Fulani Cattle Market in Esan West Local Government Area.

The meeting focused on strengthening security, ensuring public safety, and promoting peaceful coexistence across communities within the Local Government Area.

In his address, the Chairman, in his magnanimity and in consideration of the ongoing Ramadan fasting period observed by Muslims, granted all cattle marketers up to March 22, 2026, to fully comply with new security directives. He directed that all cattle markets must close business activities by 6:00 p.m. daily and that movement of cattle within Esan West should be restrained in the interest of security and orderliness.

The Chairman emphasized that the measures are preventive and aimed at safeguarding lives and property, while also ensuring that economic activities are conducted responsibly and within approved time frames.
Present at the meeting were the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the Ekpoma Police Division, leaders of the Hausa cattle market, Alhaji Bawa, and Malam Dahiru, Chairman of the Arewa Bike Association, Esan West Chapter.

All stakeholders at the meeting expressed understanding and pledged their cooperation with the Local Government and security agencies to ensure full compliance with the directives.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to peace, security, and harmonious living in Esan West Local Government Area.

The Council Boss Also Assured Everyone that his Government will Try As Much As Possible to Eliminate kidnapping and Other Social vices, in the Local Government Area, He had Also Appealed to those That Are aggrieved To Shed their Sword and Also the Chairman has Apologized to everyone that has lost Something or Even gotten Injured, that Surely, All these things will not be Seen in the Entire Esan West Local Government Area Again.

HON. BLESSING ALBERT EBHODAGHE SENDS NEW YEAR MESSAGE OF HOPE AND REASSURANCE TO ESAN WEST CITIZENS

Esan West- Edo state, 1st January, 2026

As the New Year unfolds, the Acting Chairman of Esan West Local Government Area, Hon. Blessing Albert Ebhodaghe, has extended warm greetings and heartfelt goodwill to the entire people of Esan West, assuring them of a renewed commitment to purposeful leadership, inclusive governance, and people-oriented development.

Hon. Ebhodaghe described the New Year as a season of fresh beginnings, renewed strength and collective optimism, noting that despite the challenges of the past year, the resilience, unity, and determination of the people remain the greatest asset of the Local Government.

He reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering dedication to improving the living standards of citizens through strategic investments in infrastructure, healthcare delivery, youth empowerment, environmental sanitation, education support, and grassroots economic development. According to him, the New Year will witness intensified efforts aimed at consolidating ongoing projects while initiating new programmes that directly address the needs of communities.

Verbatim stated, “in a couple of days we shall be having a mega empowerment which shall be the climax of the numerous success we have achieved of our hundred days in active acting capacity. Other milestone achievements have been completion of some blocks of classrooms, Edo state Independent Electoral Commission(EDSIEC) dilapidated facility, staff residential quarters, head-on fight against insecurity and many more”

He emphasized that transparency, accountability, and community participation will continue to guide his administration, stressing that no ward or community will be left behind in the drive for sustainable development.

Hon. Ebhodaghe further called on traditional institutions, community leaders, youths, women groups, and stakeholders to sustain the spirit of cooperation and patriotism, noting that meaningful progress can only be achieved through collective responsibility.

He concluded by wishing all residents a prosperous, peaceful and fulfilling New Year, assuring them that his government remains resolute in delivering the dividends of democracy and building a more prosperous, united and progressive Esan West for present and future generations.
