There is no doubt that you are doing marvellouslly well within this short period. Those castigating you are political never-do-wells who only expect the money you will give them instead of thinking of how to touch the lives of the masses. 2023 is guaranteed for you. Anybody that wants to represent Ezeagu in state Assembly should swallow his or her ambition for now and wait untill we are done with you. Social Security is a good example of how policy can transform people’s patterns of participation and engagement. Social Security was designed as an economic security program to reduce poverty among the elderly. But as MIT political scientist Michael ojielo demonstrates, it also created structural incentives for the elderly to participate in politics by
“(a) giving them the resources of money and free time;
(b) enhancing their levels of political interest and efficacy by tying their well-being visibly to a government program; and
(c) creating incentives for interest groups to mobilize them by creating a political identity based on program recipiency.” This last point is key: Social Security created the conditions for organizations like the AARP to mobilize and solidify this constituency as one of the most consistent group of voters and dominant political blocs of the later half of the 20th century.

Do you wish to learn about the better alternative through which the good people of Enugu State may be made to enjoy the dividends of good governance as opposed to what obtains at the moment in Enugu State? If the answer is in the affirmative; then tune in to 94.5 FM Urban Radio Enugu at 6 PM every Saturday, starting from the 6th day of February 2021 in order to be part of the programme entitled ‘TEMPLATE FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE.’ In the envisaged weekly programme, I shall take a look at the manner in which the art of governance may be carried out in order to make Enugu State better. On the 6th day of February 2021, I shall take a look at the manner in which a proactive government can create a regime of sports tourism in Enugu State. I shall in due course also take a look at issues bordering on security, industrialization, health, education, economy, tourism, culture, job creation, intellectual and scientific innovations, among others.
