People Who Are at Rïsk of Contracting HIV
✍️People who have unprotected sëx.
Whether it is vaginal, a**l, or oral, once there is no condøms , the rïsk increases sharply.
✍️Those with multiple sexual partners. The more partners you have, the higher the chance of meeting someone who already has HIV.
✍️People who don’t know their partner’s status. If you are having sëx without asking, When last did you check your HIV status?, you are taking a blind rïsk.
✍️Individuals with untreated STIs. Infections like syphilis, gonorrhea, herpes, and chlamydia create openings that make HIV enter easily by lowering your immune system.
✍️People who share needles or sharp objects. This includes drug injections, tattoo needles, blades, clippers, or even needles used at home. You don’t know who is who.
✍️Pregnant women who are HIV-positive. Without proper medical care, HIV can pass to the baby during pregnancy, delivery, or breastfeeding.
✍️People whose partners are HIV-positive and not on treatment. If the positive partner is not taking ARVs and their viral load is high, the rïsk of transmission is high.
✍️Men who have sëx with men (MSM). Due to the nature of a**l sëx , the risk of transmission is higher if condõms and PrEP are not used.
✍️People who engage in transactional sëx. Economic pressure can limit power to demand condøms or safe practices.
✍️People who drink heavily or use drugs. It lowers judgment and makes people forget about protection.
✍️People who live in an environment where HIV is rampant.
