Today, Monday, 3rd August 2026, I had the privilege of attending the Student Union Government (SUG) Week of the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus (UNEC), where I was honoured to speak to the vibrant students as a guest speaker.

Speaking on “Discovering Yourself and Finding Your Place of Impact” under the theme “Stand Up and Stand Out,” I emphasised the importance of building both capacity and character. While capacity opens doors, character keeps those doors open.

I encouraged the students to discover their potential, develop themselves intentionally and position themselves for meaningful impact.

I congratulate the entire UNEC community, especially the SUG, led by Comrade Eze Otuomasirichukwu, her executives and the entire student body, on a successful and impactful Students’ Week celebration.

Today, I had the honour of attending the 5th Anniversary of the Chijioke Ugwueze Memorial Foundation at the International Conference Centre (ICC), Enugu.

It was a privilege to celebrate the life and enduring legacy of my dear friend and colleague, Honourable Chijioke Ugwueze (Aguiyi), with whom I served in the 7th Enugu State House of Assembly. Aguiyi lived a life of service, compassion and commitment to the people of Isi-Uzo.

I am especially proud of his wife, Dr. Mrs. Catherine Amaka Ugwueze, for courageously carrying on his legacy through impactful initiatives that continue to empower the people of Isi-Uzo. It is a beautiful testament to all that Aguiyi stood for.

Today, Tuesday, 21st July 2026, I joined thousands of Ndi Enugu at Michael Okpara Square for the official flag-off of the distribution of agricultural inputs to registered farmers across the 260 political wards in Enugu State, by our performing Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.

This landmark initiative will see the free distribution of over 63,000 bags of improved seedlings, cassava stems, fertilisers, insecticides, and access to tractors for farmers across the State, further reinforcing the administration’s unwavering commitment to food security, agro-industrialisation, and export-driven agriculture.

I commend our intentional Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, for his consistency in strengthening the agricultural sector and for his unwavering commitment to transforming every critical sector of our State through purposeful leadership.

Congratulations to our farmers in Enugu North Local Government Area and across Enugu State. I encourage everyone to maximise these valuable inputs to boost productivity, strengthen food security, and advance our collective vision of a prosperous, export-oriented economy.
