The delegation of 3G Steering Committee led by Dr. Hussaina Goje, Honourable Commissioner of Environment and Forest Resources & Deputy Chair 3G-Project Steering Committee today 21/07/2020 inaugurated the Local Government 3G-Project Committee and also kick-started the 2020 Local Government level Tree Planting Campaign with 5000 varieties of trees each at Gombe and Dukku LGAs of the State respectively.

She made a call to the leadership & membership of the Committee to give in their very best for the success of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya's afforestation project under 3G.

In their separate remarks, the 3G LGA Committee Chairmen, Yeriman Gombe, and the Emir of Dukku assured the Commissioner of their 100% support to the project. The occasion climaxed in Gombe with the Planting of trees by Yeriman Gombe, Commissioner of Environment and the Secretary of the Local Government at Government Day Secondary School Gandu. The inauguration of the LGA 3G committee in Dukku culminated with planting of trees by the Emir of Dukku, Environment Commissioner as well as the LGA Secretary at Model Secondary School Dukku.

Wajari village of Yamaltu-Deba LGA in Gombe State was full to capacity today as His Excellency Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya flagged-off the 3G-Project 2020 Tree Planting Campaign themed "Greener-Gombe for Greater-Gombe (4G)", the Governor reiterated his commitment to combating various forms of Environmental degradation with his 3G and other laudable projects in the State. Environment Commissioner, Dr. Hussaina Goje appreciated the Governor for his support to 3G and NEWMAP projects under her ministry.

5th of June, 2020 Gombe State government through the ministry of Environment and Forest Resources join the rest of the World to Commemorate the 2020 World Environment Day by organizing a World Press Conference, the Honourable Commissioner of Environment Dr. Hussaina Goje said the day in Gombe is not only for awareness creation but also to celebrate the success of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya in addressing challenges of Environment in the State particularly through his Gombe Goes Green project which aim to plant four million trees in four years, and his support to NEWMAP to address the problems of Gully Erosion in the State.

Yesterday 17-05-2020 the Honourable Commissioner of Environment Dr. Hussaina Goje was full of gratitude to Almighty ALLAH for the success recorded by her ministry in the first phase of the disinfection exercise of the high risk areas in Gombe State, Dr. Hussaina in her address shortly after presenting Certificates of decontamination to the CMDs/equivalents of the Health institutions and Amada Camp Director where the State government Isolation Centres appreciated Governor Inuwa Yahaya for taking the fight against COVID-19 very seriously.

Hon. Hussaina Goje Commissioner of Environment was yesterday 16-05-20 full of appreciation to His Excellency Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, Governor of Gombe State for the support given to her ministry through the State Task Force Committee on COVID-19 to fumigate 5-COVID-19 high risk areas in the State, this statement is coming from the Commissioner as the exercise by her ministry reaches it climax with the fumigation of the FTH-Gombe COVID-19 Isolation Centre.

As the fumigation exercise of all high risk areas progresses yesterday 15-05-2020 in Gombe State, the fumigators in company of the Honourable Commissioner of Environment Dr. Hussaina Goje, were at the COVID-19 Isolation Centre of the State specialist Hospital.

in Gombe state! -19 #.Support the ministry of enviroment in its efforts to curb the spread of Corona Virus.

The Deputy Governor of Gombe State Dr. Manasa Jatau, who is also the Chair of Gombe Goes Green (3G) Steering Committee was at Bogo and Kwadom Nurseries to evaluate the success of raising 1.5million seedlings for scaling up the project to the remaining 10LGAs of the State. In his entourage were the SSG & Commissioner of Environment Gombe State, & other Steering Committee members. During the visit SSG expressed his satisfaction on the success of the project.

Today 14th April, 2020 S.A to His Excellency Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya on Social Investment Hajia Dijatu Bappah invited the Honourable Commissioner of Environment Dr. Hussaina Goje to join her entourage for the Household Upliftment/Conditional Cash Transfer Payment at Dukul and Malam Sidi communities of Kwami LGA of Gombe state. During the exercise, the Commissioner advised the beneficiaries to make judicious utilization of the funds to improve the living standard of their families. The Commissioner further informed the beneficiaries that the gesture is part of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya and President Buhari's administration policies of poverty reduction from the grassroot.
