RTEAN GOMBE STATE CHAPTER HONORS MAI KALTUNGO FOR PEACEBUILDING AND LEADERSHIP

The Gombe State Chapter of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) has paid a high-level courtesy visit to the Palace of His Royal Highness, the Mai Kaltungo, Engr. Saleh Muhammad Umar OON at his palace in Kaltungo town on monday 16 March, 2026.

The delegation, led by the State Chairman, Comrade Muhammed Musa Gidado, visited the traditional ruler to acknowledge his pivotal role in fostering peace and unity within the association’s Kaltungo chapel and neighboring chapels across the state.

A major highlight of the visit was the presentation of an Award of Honor to the Royal Father. Speaking during the presentation, Comrade Gidado expressed deep gratitude to the Emir for his fatherly support and consistent advice, which he noted has been instrumental to the progress of the association.

"Our members will continue to cooperate fully to ensure the peace and unity among RTEAN members and passengers is sustained for the effective operation of the Kaltungo chapel," Gidado stated.

In his response, HRH Engr. Saleh Muhammad Umar thanked the RTEAN executives for the homage and the honor bestowed upon him. He urged the association to maintain the current atmosphere of harmony, emphasizing that a peaceful transport sector is vital for the safety of passengers and the economic growth of the region.

RTEAN Gombe State Chapter Hits Landmark Achievement with Foundation Laying of New Bajoga Branch Office

The Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), Gombe State Chapter, has officially signaled a new era of administrative excellence with the fundraising and foundation laying ceremony for its new Bajoga Branch Office.

The historic event, held today at the Bajoga Motor Park, brought together a high-powered assembly of transportation industry stakeholders, community leaders, and veteran unionists to mark the end of the 2025 calendar year with a significant developmental stride.

The ceremony was led by the representative of the State Executive Chairman, Comrade Musa Muhammed Gidado. In his keynote address, the Chairman’s representative emphasized that the construction of a modern, dedicated office for the Bajoga branch is a fulfillment of the leadership’s promise to institutionalize the association and provide a conducive environment for members and commuters alike.

Following the successful fundraising session, the foundation stone was officially laid. Construction is expected to proceed at an accelerated pace, with the project slated for completion in early 2026. This building is set to become a focal point for the regulation, welfare, and strategic planning of transport activities within the Bajoga corridor.

Industry stakeholders present at the event lauded the Gidado-led administration for its transparency and commitment to infrastructural growth. "This is more than just bricks and mortar; it is a symbol of the progress and stability we have enjoyed under Comrade Musa Muhammed Gidado’s leadership," remarked one of the key transport stakeholders during the event.

The successful launch of this project closes out the year 2025 on a high note, reinforcing RTEAN’s position as a pillar of economic development in Gombe State.
