RTEAN GOMBE STATE CHAPTER HONORS MAI KALTUNGO FOR PEACEBUILDING AND LEADERSHIP
The Gombe State Chapter of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) has paid a high-level courtesy visit to the Palace of His Royal Highness, the Mai Kaltungo, Engr. Saleh Muhammad Umar OON at his palace in Kaltungo town on monday 16 March, 2026.
The delegation, led by the State Chairman, Comrade Muhammed Musa Gidado, visited the traditional ruler to acknowledge his pivotal role in fostering peace and unity within the association’s Kaltungo chapel and neighboring chapels across the state.
A major highlight of the visit was the presentation of an Award of Honor to the Royal Father. Speaking during the presentation, Comrade Gidado expressed deep gratitude to the Emir for his fatherly support and consistent advice, which he noted has been instrumental to the progress of the association.
"Our members will continue to cooperate fully to ensure the peace and unity among RTEAN members and passengers is sustained for the effective operation of the Kaltungo chapel," Gidado stated.
In his response, HRH Engr. Saleh Muhammad Umar thanked the RTEAN executives for the homage and the honor bestowed upon him. He urged the association to maintain the current atmosphere of harmony, emphasizing that a peaceful transport sector is vital for the safety of passengers and the economic growth of the region.
