Ibadan Urban Flood Management Project IUFMP is a flood risk mitigation project of the Oyo State Government supported by the World Bank.

Ibadan Urban Flood Management Project (IUFMP) is a World Bank supported project aimed at developing a long-term flood risk management framework by initiating risk assessment, community awareness, and providing enough flexibility in the project design to make changes based on learning. Residents of Onipon Community in OLUYOLE LOCAL GOVERNMENT Area of Ibadan, Oyo State will always have the Ibadan Urban Flood Management Project to thank for the massive interventions in their area. Aside the channelization of the flood-prone Ona River passing through the community which has helped safeguard them against annual flooding experience, the old, rickety, dusty bridge linking the community to the rest of the city was replaced with a longer, more capacious, ultramodern bridge. Pictures here show the old bridge and different shots of the new one.
