THE PARAMOUNT AND IMPERIAL RULER, HIS ROYAL MAJESTY, ALAYELUWA, OBA WALIU OLASUNKANMI RAZAK OGUNTOLU 1, ONIBEJU OF IBEJULAND EXTENDS APPRECIATION,
UNVEILS INSIGNIA AT OJU - OWA .
Alayeluwa, Oba Waliu Olasunkanmi Razak- Oguntolu 1, The Oniwonlu Ruling House and entire people of Ibejuland have expressed appreciation to all those who contributed to the successful "Thank you" Event of Oba Waliu Olasunkanmi Razak Oguntolu 1, Onibeju of Ibeju-Lekki Kingdom on his successfull seclusion rite (ODO) as the new King.
During the event it was made available by the King at the Oju Owa which was the venue for the event that the Palace also extended gratitude to the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, his Deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat and the entire State Executive Council over the support and distinctive roles played in the past few days.
Appreciation was also ascribed to His Imperial Majesty, Alayeluwa, Oba Rilwan Babatunde Akiolu, the Olowo Eko as well as the Lagos State Traditional Council and other traditional rulers in Yoruba land, corporate organisations, residents and great people of Lagos and the host of well-meaning individuals and stakeholders who “demonstrated the unity that continues to spur us all forward as a pacesetter and the standard to beat in collaboration for success and the sustainable development of Ibeju-Lekki and the state.
It is on this note and strong footing that the reign of the new Onibeju, HRM, Oba Waliu Olasunkanmi Razak Oguntolu 1 commenced with the processes for a change in administration of the affairs of the kingdom”, it stated.
Onibeju emphasized and request that the Ibeju-Lekki Local government Area should continue to ensure development in the land of Ibeju, where he pin point the challenges with bad link roads and erratic power supply in Ibeju Kingdom.
The Paramount Ruler, Onibeju further expantiated tha the link roads below should be rehabilitated.
1) Oju Agbe Road,
2) Palace Road
3) Oke owode Road
4) Governor Road
5) Araromi Road.
It stated further that interested stakeholders are to keep up with the activities of the Onibeju and Palace functions via the palace officials.
Hon. Abdullah Sesan Olowa, the executive chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local government Area responded and promised continuity in the development of Ibeju-Lekki as a whole where he pleaded for the support of the people to always ensure remittance of their tax promptly. He further advised and urge the people of Ibeju to show their appreciation by casting their vote for the incumbent administration in Lagos State and at the federal with the emblem of the "All Progressive Congress" APC.
HON. OLOWA advised that the office of Onibeju of Ibeju kingdom should write a letter with Onibeju letter headed paper and states the roads to be rehabitated to the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwoolu.
Hon Olowa, also made it known to the King about the land grabbers that about to take possession of the Ibeju Agbe market which is the property of the government for decades. He also made it known about the newest planned project for the market to be transformed into a modern market which will facilitate rapid development.
He later concluded that this development should not be misconstrued as a sign of any conflict but a regular administrative procedure with immediate effect to advise concerned stakeholders about the changes in structure and corporate governance.
His Royal Majesty stated that he will continue to work with all concerned parties to ensure the highest levels of professionalism and global best practices.
Oba Waliu Olasunkanmi Razak Oguntolu 1 Onibeju of Ibeju-Lekki Kingdom, has accepted this further call to serve and pledged to be fair and just to everyone. He also promised to work with all stakeholders to ensure outstanding successes are recorded in the shortest possible time during his reign.
