Arch. Koshoedo Assumes Office as PDP Acting National Secretary

The Deputy National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Arch. Setonji Koshoedo has assumed office as Acting National Secretary of the Party in line with the decision and directive of the National Working Committee (NWC) at its meeting on Tuesday, 29th of April, 2025.

Arch. Koshoedo met with the management staff of the PDP in his office at the party’s National Secretariat, Abuja earlier this morning where he assured of the commitment of the NWC to further unite, stabilize and energize the party.

88 party elders in the first batch_

The Lagos PDP Governorship Candidate in the 2023 general elections, Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran (JANDOR) will on Saturday 26th October 2024 hold an appreciation meeting with distinguished and esteemed leaders of the party across the 20 Local Government areas of Lagos state.

Dr. Adediran will at the event warm contact with a total of 88 party elders who are the first batch of this engagement parley.

COMMUNIQUE ISSUED BY THE PDP GOVERNORS’ FORUM AT THE END OF AN ENLARGED MEETING ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 22, 2024

The PDP Governors’ Forum under the leadership of H.E. Governor Bala A. Mohammed, CON, held an enlarged meeting at the Bauchi State Governors’ Lodge, Tatari Ali House, Asokoro on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.

Rising from the consultative meeting of the various organs of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, the Party resolved as follows:

1. The National Executive Committee, NEC, meeting originally slated for October 24, 2024, has been rescheduled to November 28, 2024.

2. The postponement is to ensure that the party goes into the forthcoming Ondo gubernatorial elections of November 16, 2024 with the unity and strength demanded to unseat the floundering All Progressive Congress, APC government in the state.

3. Reiterating the need for unity in the face of efforts by detractors to divide the party, the meeting called on all members to shun divisive utterances that could undermine ongoing efforts at strengthening the party to effectively play its role as the country’s main opposition, preparatory to taking over in 2027.

4. The following organs of the party attended the meeting:

- The PDP Governors’ Forum
- The Board of Trustees
- National Working Committee (NWC)
- National Assembly Leadership of the PDP Caucus and
- Forum of Former Governors of the party

JUST IN: The Acting National Chairman of the People's Democratic Party-PDP *Amb. Umar Iliya Damagum* led the members of the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) to meet with the Governor’s Elected under the platform of the People's Democratic Party-PDP Chaired by *His Excellency Senator Bala Muhammed Abdulkadir Kauran Bauchi.*

The meeting is between the PDP Governors Forum led by *His Excellency Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed* Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum, members of the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) led by the Acting National Chairman of the People's Democratic Party-PDP *Amb. Umar Iliya Damagum,* Leadership of the PDP Board of Trustees and National Assembly Leadership.

The meeting was held at Bauchi State Governor's Lodge Asokoro in Abuja.
