HON. YISA JUBRIL HOLDS STAKEHOLDERS MEETING ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF DRAINAGE AND INTER-LOCKING ROAD AT LIASU STREET, IGBO-ELERIN.

‎The Executive Chairman of IBA LCDA, Hon. Yisa Abiola Jubril, held a stakeholders meeting for the construction of Liasu Street at Igbo-Elerin today, Thursday, March 26, 2026.
‎In his remarks, he encouraged community members to ask questions about the project, saying, "When there's no pain, there's no gain," implying that some sacrifices are necessary for a befitting road.

‎He sought the cooperation of the youths with the contractor, noting that the project benefits the entire Igbo-Elerin community. He prayed that all present at the meeting would witness the road commissioning upon completion.

‎Councilor for Ward D, Hon. Kuku Olayinka Mutiu, gave the welcome address, echoing the Executive Chairman's call for community members to ask questions.

‎The Council Engineer, Mrs Whesu also pleaded for the community cooperation with the Contractor.
‎The Contractor handling the project is Rockdon Nigeria Limited.

‎The Baale of Igbo-Elerin, Chief Aina Taofeek, appreciated the Executive Chairman's commitment to the community, describing him as one who fulfills promises (talk and do) while assuring the engineers and contractors of a smooth project ex*****on.

‎Other dignitaries who spoke, including the CDA Chairman, APC Ward D Chairman, and Supervisor for Works and Infrastructure, Hon. Saheed Ajanaku, praised the Executive Chairman and his team for the project.

‎Dignitaries in attendance includes the Vice Chairman Iba LCDA, Hon. Samuel Ayodele Thomas; Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Adekanbi Taiwo; Leader of the Legislative Council, Hon. Hassan Omobolaji and other ward councilors, Supervisors, Special Advisers, Management Staff led by Mr. Olufemi Babalola, community leaders and other stakeholders.

*UNIFIED LOCAL GOVERNMENT MUSLIM STAFF ASSOCIATION IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN OF IBA LCDA HOSTS ITS 9TH ANNUAL RAMADAN PUBLIC LECTURE*

The Unified Local Government Muslim Staff Association, Iba LCDA branch in conjunction with the Executive Chairman held its annual Ramadan Lecture Today 10th March, 2026 at the Council Secretariat.

The Executive Chairman of IBA LCDA, Hon. Yisa Abiola Jubril welcomed all guests to the lecture, he appreciated everyone for taking time out to be part of the program and prayed that everyone would achieve a thing or the other from the event.

The first speaker ,Alhaji Al Imam Muh.Taofeek Arogundade spoke on this year’s theme " Be Muslim Enough ".He said as a Muslim, one should have a complete faith and never negotiate the supremacy of Almighty Allah in all our doings.He further preached that we should be useful to our family and the to society.

The second speaker , Sheikh Mohammad Buhari ibn Musa preached Righteousness in Islam.
He advocated for goodness amongst people and the importance of being fair in all our doings because of the life Hereafter.

Sheikh Buhari adviced everyone to be conscious and careful of whatever they are doing today as there is always consequences for every action, taking the right paths should be considered always and one should live with the fear of Almighty Allah .

JUBRIL SWEARS IN NEWLY APPOINTED SECRETARY TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT, SUPERVISORY COUNCILLORS AND SPECIAL ADVISER’S OF IBA LCDA.

‎FRIDAY MARCH 6TH, 2026.


‎The Executive Chairman of IBA LCDA Hon. Yisa Abiola Jubril has officially sworn in 16 new members of his cabinet inclusive of the Secretary to the Local Government(SLG), Supervisors and Special Adviser’s at the Council Secretariat.

‎The oath of office was administered by the Legal officer of the Council Barr. Akeem Uthman , he afterwards charged them to discharge their duties in line with the law of Lagos state and in good interest of the people of Iba.

‎ In the cause of the inauguration, The Council Mayor advised the new appointees that the role they were assuming is crucial. "As SLG, Supervisory Councillors and Special Advisers, you form an integral part of the Executive Council. You are to assist the Chairman in translating the collective vision of the local government into tangible results that impact lives and communities. Your duty is not just to occupy an office, but to drive the process of governance closer to the people - ensuring that every project, every decision, and every policy reflects the needs and aspirations of those served."

‎The Commissioner for Tertiary Institution Hon. Tolani Sule who was also present at the occasion congratulated the newly inaugurated Executive Council members, reminding them to be 100 percent loyal to the Chairman and to maintain confidentiality. He congratulated the people of Iba, assuring them of a better phase, and prayed for the growth of Iba LCDA and Lagos State at large.

‎In a goodwill message, Barrister Akintunde Lawal (APC Leader) appreciated the efforts of the Executive Chairman and acknowledged the support of his team.

‎The newly appointed SLG, Hon. Taiwo Adekambi, gave a vote of thanks on behalf of the newly inaugurated executives, thanking the Executive Chairman for the privilege and honour given to them, he assured the council helmsman of total loyalty “ Our coming in is to serve the government and we pledge not to disappoint, together we shall succeed and together we shall take Iba lcda to the next level”.

ABILA (MR KOSELERI )ROUNDS OFF 3 DAY PROJECTS COMMISSIONING ACROSS IBA LCDA IN STYLE .

With considerable pomp and ceremony, the Hon.Yisa Abiola Jubril,Abila-led Administration of IBA LCDA,has officially inaugurated thirteen projects on the 27th, 28th, and 29th of January 2026 within the Iba Local Council Development Area.

‎In one of his welcome addresses, he stated, "I am delighted to welcome you all to this occasion marking the first projects commissioning in my second term in office. Precisely 6 months ago,that the good people of Iba entrusted the affairs of our esteemed Local Council Development Area to me for the second term.

‎ Shortly after the election, we carefully listened to the pleas and yearnings of our people,which led to what we are commissioning for the past days.

‎ The Chairman also said that the community prosper,when leaders and community channel and deliberate their expectations, that tangible progress is always achieved.

To set the record straight,the following projects were commissioned.
‎1. Mebamu Town Hall, Mebamu town.
‎2. Abule Aka Town Hall, Abule Aka Village.
‎3. Solar Powered Borehole at the Primary Health Care Centre, Kemberi, Oke-Afa.
‎4. Solar Powered Borehole at Baale Kemberi palace.
‎5. Solar Powered Borehole at Alhaji Mikky Badmus Street, Ward E, Iba.
‎6. Interlock paving stone road and twins culvert at Ago Hausa Street, Okokomaiko.
‎7. Newly built Mosque at Ago Hausa, Okokomaiko.
‎8. Newly built Igbo- Elerin Town Hall, Igbo Elerin.
‎9. Solar Powered Borehole at Oke-ologun Street, Okokomaiko.
‎10. Revamped Iba Town Hall at Iba .
‎11. Alape Link Road at Iba Town.
‎12. Revitalized Iba Public Toilet, Iba
‎13.  Solar Powered Borehole at Iba town.

‎The inauguration of the projects was conducted by several esteemed individuals, including His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Sulaimon Adeshina Raji Ashade I, Oniba Ẹkun of Iba Land, Barrister Akintunde Lawal, Honorable Yaya Isiaka, Honorable Comrade Olusegun Adebisi Ege, Chief Imam Alhaji Abdullahi Ali Seriki, and Honorable Princess Ramota Rachael Adebayo Oseni, among others..

‎A newly constructed town hall has been established at Mebamu.

‎Another newly Renovated town hall is located at Abule Aka.

‎Additionally, a solar-powered borehole has been installed at Baale Kemberi Palace.

*IBA LCDA NEWS UPDATE *

PUPILS OF IBA LCDA REJOICES AS HON. JUBRIL PRESENTED THEM BACK TO SCHOOL ITEMS AND AWARDS.

Education is the fundamental tool for personal growth, societal progress, and realizing dreams, teaching us not just academics but also crucial life skills, values like (honesty and respect), and critical thinking to navigate challenges and build a brighter future for individuals and nations.

In a heartwarming move to uplift education in IBA LCDA, Hon. Yisa Abiola Jubril, Executive Chairman of the Local Council presented Back to School relieve materials to pupils of all primary schools within the council on Monday, 19th of January 2026.

Hon. Jubril reiterated his commitment to Education and by this he gave out hundreds of school materials which includes School Bags , Uniforms, School Shoes, and writing materials to the pupils. He also gave awards , scholarships and cash gifts to the best performing students of each school for the year 2025 academic session.

The Council Mayor in his address, said that the initiative is to provide every child with equal opportunities to learn and grow and ensures that learning continues without barriers. He is of the opinion that the effort will “motivate our children to attend school regularly, study diligently and take pride in their education.

Speaking at the event, the HOD Education, Mr Olaniran congratulated the pupils for having a passionate Chairman that does not joke with their education and growth. He encouraged them to be a good ambassadors.

The Nigeria Union of Teachers (N.U.T) president of Ojo Comrade Alaba Alape rejoiced with the pupils and commended the noble effort of the Executive Chairman towards the education of the children. Mrs Saidat Titilayo Jubril who represented the Education Secretary also praised the magnanimity of the council’s helmsman.

The program was well attended by the Vice Chairman,Hon.Ayodele Samuel Thomas,Leader of the sixth Legislative Chamber,Hon.Omobolaji Mustapha Hassan and other Legislative members,Council Manager,Mr.Olufemi Babalola, Council Treasurer Mrs Okoro, all management members and Teachers from each schools.

*ABILA ROUND OFF THE YEAR WITH A"THREE- IN- ONE PROGRAMME" IN IBA LCDA.

The Executive Chairman of Iba LCDA, Hon. Yisa Abiola Jubril marked the end of 2025 with a "three- in- one programme", while presenting food palliatives to people of the 5 wards in Iba LCDA, at the same time celebrates the year 2025 retirees of Iba LCDA and also the annual end of the year party for staffers of the Council.

The event which took place on Monday, 29th of December 2025 at the Council Secretariat witnessed series of excitements and merriments.

To the people of Iba community, the Council Mayor described the palliatives distribution as a symbol of care and responsibility “ They are meant to reduce hardship and provide temporary relief, especially for those who are affected by the current economic situation. They may not solve all our problems, but they can help families breathe a little easier during this period.”

In the turn of events, the Council Helmsman Hon. Jubril commended and applauded the retirees for their dedication, loyalty and selfless services to the growth of Iba LCDA and Lagos State at large. There were seven(7) retirees for year 2025 and each was presented with a big solar fan, bag of rice, Lagos state Rug of honor, Certificate of Service and a huge envelope.

The Council Manager, Mr Olufemi Babalola also described the retirees as pillars of strength whose professional services has left a good footprint in the development of the Council and wished them long life, sound health and life fulfillment.

Mrs Fashinu who was the former HOD of Agric and Social Service Department on behalf of the retirees expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Executive Chairman, Management and Staff for the honor bestowed on them.

The Chairman again took to the stage and wished the entire staff of Iba LCDA a prosperous new year in advance and declared the end of the year party open.

IBA LCDA CHAIRPERSON CELEBRATES KIDS DURING CHRISTMAS.


‎With great pomp and pageantry, the Chairperson of Iba LCDA,Alhaja Halimot Folashade  Yisa, celebrated Christmas with the children and teenagers of the locality on December 26, 2025.

‎In her welcome address, she expressed her heart filled with joy and gratitude for the 2025 Iba Children’s Day Christmas Carol and End of Year Fiesta.She said the event is particularly special as it unites three cherished elements: our children, the spirit of Christmas, and the conclusion of another meaningful year.

‎The Chairperson further stated that today's event is about  celebration of laughter, innocence, creativity, and hope. Our children serve as a daily reminder that the future holds promise if we nurture it with love, guidance, and opportunity. Observing their smiles, listening to their songs, and witnessing their performances instills in us a sense of pride and assurance that our community is vibrant and thriving.

‎To our esteemed young individuals, this day is devoted to your honor. Strive to attain greatness, extend kindness towards one another, demonstrate respect towards your parents and educators, and uphold a steadfast belief in your own capabilities. You are held in high esteem, cherished profoundly, and hold significant importance within this community.

‎ The fifth edition of this annual celebration was replete with a myriad of delightful activities for the children, including the distribution of gift items, engaging games, drama performances, carol singing, and a variety of other attractions.
