WHY WE ARE LAUNCHING THE SPONSOR A STUDENT CAMPAIGN

Ekiti State, like many communities, is facing challenges that affect the future of its young people.

The increasing involvement of some young people in internet fraud is a serious concern. At the same time, human trafficking continues to put vulnerable people at risk, taking away opportunities, dignity and sometimes even their freedom.

At Lush Foundation, we believe that prevention must go beyond telling young people what not to do.

We must also create opportunities for them to choose a better path.

A young person who has access to practical skills, mentorship and opportunities to earn a legitimate income is better positioned to build a future with dignity.

That is why we are launching the Sponsor a Student Campaign.

Through this campaign, we want to give young people the opportunity to acquire practical fashion skills that can become a foundation for entrepreneurship and economic independence.

You can sponsor a young person for:

Basic Training – ₦20,000
Intermediate Training – ₦25,000
Advanced Training – ₦35,000

You don't have to change the lives of hundreds of people.

Give to Gain. Empower a Woman. Transform a Community.

This International Women’s Day 2026, Lush Foundation celebrates the power of investing in women — because when women are empowered, everyone gains.

Since 2018, we have trained 97 women in fashion and garment production, equipping them with practical skills to build sustainable livelihoods. Today, these women are running their own fashion businesses, creating income, supporting their families, and inspiring others in their communities.

But our work goes beyond economic empowerment. Through our community sensitisation programmes, we continue to advocate for women’s health and safety — raising awareness about breast cancer, teenage pregnancy, and human trafficking, issues where women and girls remain among the most vulnerable.
For us, the message is clear:

When we give women skills, we gain entrepreneurs.
When we give women knowledge, we gain healthier communities.
When we give women support, we gain a stronger society.

This is the spirit of International Women’s Day 2026 — Give to Gain.

To the women building businesses, raising their voices, and shaping a better future: we celebrate you today and every day.
