I, Prince Adedoyin Ogunbiyi Jokotex, am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for the trust and confidence you have placed in me over the years. As a dedicated and loyal member of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), I have consistently demonstrated my commitment to our shared values and principles.

*PAJ Movement Executives Meet with Youth Stakeholders in Ikorodu Division: Deliberates on Way Forward on Youth Involvement in Politics, Appraise Senator Adetokunbo Abiru's Leadership Style, States Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as the Best Candidate for 2023 Presidential Elections*

In a meeting held on Friday 19th August 2022, the executive members of PAJ Movement ably headed by *Prince Adedoyin Ogunbiyi Jokotex* held a meeting with a group of youth leaders at the former's Ikorodu North Secretariat at Lucky Fibre axis of Ikorodu, Lagos. The meeting which commenced some minutes past 4pm on Friday afternoon was to enable interaction with the youths on the way forward and how to buy into the minds of people particularly young ones in the 2023 forthcoming elections to actualise success for APC candidates.

The meeting started with a welcome address by the *General Secretary of PAJ Movement- Mr Adeyemi Habeeb* who moderated the program. After he appreciated and welcomed the youth representatives, the PAJ Movement boss Prince Adedoyin Jokotex set the ball rolling for the youths. Prince Adedoyin also mentioned the efforts of PAJ Movement in the past one month by facilitating the registration of voters across the five political wards in Ikorodu North in order to avoid disenfranchisement of the masses in the coming general elections. Doctor Adedoyin made clear the reason for the meeting which is to hear from the youths on how their impacts can be better felt in the political arena for the forthcoming polls and beyond also to bridge the gap that exist between the youths and government as the Distinguished Senator realised that the role of the youths in governance cannot be underestimated. He also gave a brief account of how PAJ Movement metamophosed into its present stage.

The first speaker amongst the youth leaders,a member of NYC Ikorodu chapter lamented on how the previous public office holders has made the youths tools of "use and dump" not remembering and recognising their worths and usefulness once they win elections and assume office. He said he hopes this call isn't going to be a replica of this usual acts by politicians.

Another female representative stated the fact that she Mrs Falilat Oniyide has enjoyed one of the youth support programs (the cohorts 2.0) initiated by Senator Mukail Abiru and said if such empowerment programs are held at intervals, there won't be political apathy among youths. Also, she mentioned that there should be a plaftform where authentic information will be passed across to the youths and try to embark on sustainable projects rather than just calling on them only when elections are approaching.

Furthermore, another female youth leader Alhaja Ajadi from an Islamic organisation around Maya area of Ikorodu North said "I have always been a mouth piece for the APC liking the party's structure and mobilised youths to vote for president Mohamodu Buhari because I believe in facts and figures but I have been disappointed by how things have gone bad especially the nation's economy since his tenure in the current administration". Mrs Ajadi asked if the leaders are ready to equip the youths with what is needed to convince people that we are sincerely ready. She interated categorically that "most Town Hall meetings supposedly organised as youth forals are usually been occupied by party elders who aren't youths". She said although she agrees that ABAT is still the best candidate Nigeria needs at this critical time but the youths need to well represented at the top. She also stated that Senator Abiru's impacts is glaring as a public office holder, "why can't others be this way?" "We must pay attention to important points to disallow making avoidable mistakes rather just sourcing for votes and after winning elections vanish into thin air. Social media has opened the eyes of people and they are wiser now"

In this light, Mr Mukadas Biliaminu secretary National Youth Council Ikorodu North who came from Olorunda also talked along the same pointline. He said 100% political participation is not realisable anywhere. He said "the youths are the machineries used to get votes during elections but when it comes to political positions, they are relegated". He made mention that only party elders gets slots for benefits in government. "The supervisory counselors that were recently appointed was based on favour and no neutral youth was remembered for their efforts". This was cited as an example by the NYCN secretary Ikorodu North.

In line with this, some other youth leaders like Comrade Ganiyu Olawale and Mr Toheeb Sikirulahi also spoke about making sure that the youths are honourably placed in the society by providing for them soft skills to live life meaningful.

*The convener of PAJ Movement Prince Adedoyin Jokotex* responded to all the youths assuring them that the systemic issues that caused the setbacks of youths inclusion in governance will henceforth be tackled as the feedbacks from the youths will be passed across to the top. He however sang praises of the working Senator as a symbol of great honour and described him as a boardroom fellow who understands the power of youths in the nation.

The youths stakeholders nevertheless stated their readiness to support the party leadership provided they are willing to put things right.
