IFE CRISIS, DESPERATE ATTEMPT TO SCORE UNNECESSARY GOAL!!!...

The reported parade of suspected people as regards the recent crisis in Ife by the police in far away Abuja calls for questions. Apart from the fact that the accused was known to have committed the offence in Ife, parading them in Abuja in the name of sending signals to the authority,the public or to impress anyone that the police is indeed working is not only provocateur in nature but may be counter-productive. This approach is uncivilized and unlawful and must be condemned in this nation.

So much statements and boasts have been made before now to suggest predictive attempt to score unnecessary credit by people in authority even as many of them never visit the vicinity, they have been putting it on record that people must be punished for this unprecedented fracas between the two loving communities which intends to continue to co exist with one another despite the ugly and condemnable experience.

That Osun state police command,Ife men of the police, i doubt were not involved in the investigation and this,cross purpose and incivility of their parade certainly attract suspicious ulterior motive capable of making the imbroglio issue an eye for an eye which may make us all blinds. The tension in the ancient town which host the Hausa community in century is getting down, normalcy is gradually returning to the warring communities, each sides are already taking quick review of their roles while each sensible player nurse regret with serious intention never to repeat such in future. The motive by the police or government to ensure justice is normal but it must be done with every sense of fairness, openness and thoroughly according to the rule of the law . To do just that is for every agencies involved to be fair to both sides and to carry out diligent investigation. Certainly, the parade of these suspects while the investigation is still on going can not be said to produce fairness,the suspects includes a monarch in ife,this parade leaves us to wonder as it appeared to us as hurriedly done , sentimental and biased for it never include any of the Hausas but mainly the ife ,this is despite the fact that about 20 names of suspected Arewas was submitted to the local Area Commander...

Please this is a gentleman clarrion call on the authority concerns to do the needful on this matter to afford causing further disaffection among the two communities who had vowed to continue to live with one another peacefully.

Meanwhile, as we appreciate the Police,DSS,SSS,Press and the general public so far for joining us in quenching the crisis before it snowballed into national crisis and for making it known to the public that its not a tribal crisis. We sincerely call on them to do the needful on this sensitive matter.
The guilty ones must not escape justice but,
Justice must not only be seen to be done, but it must not be done in hurry and with one eye closed....

The recent statement credited to my highly respected brother perplexed me momentarily,he is no doubt an asset to the community and someone I have utmost respect for but on this recent imbroglio at IFE involving our old time "settlers ", I least expected him to make such a statement at this time we should be seen to appeal for peace, honestly, he goofed ,No sane and sound person would seek for war or say something like this especially right in the deep heat of the on going provocation,without inviting anarchy and reprisal attack which will do us no good,i understand our fathers who fought for civil war are even regretting,war to me certainly will do us no good as a nation and no sensible person with family in ife,properties and investment in ife would submit as my brother and kinsman, Chief FFK wrote....It is rather an unfortunate statement.This is not about Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Sen Kwankasho or about APC but about Ife,the origin of Yoruba land...For anybody with genuine intention to seek for votes to put such on paper and someone regarded as mentor to many,such person to me is digging his grave.The highly respected Ooni , Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and some of us who are physically present had done what is expected of good leaders ..check them out those of them making unnecessary political statements in the name of this inglorious imbroglio and showing care to ife or yoruba certainly care not about where history will placed them....Yoruba are not coward,I agreed, we are ever prepared, no controversy about that but for such to come out from our first eleven and re echoing the already known fact that some indigenes are settlers attract no dividends but rather it will further promotes hatred and ife name shall continue to ring unpleasant bell....This is not what Ooni is preaching ,this is where many apostles of peace should stand for.....Well, we are all entitled to our opinions.... GOV AREGBESOLA: AN INCAPACITATED MESSIAH.

He came, he saw but incapacitated to fully conquer. Perhaps, that is the best summary to give this piece in an attempt to describe the unusual administration of Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola, he was simply lucky to have regained his stolen mandate but seems unlucky getting it at a time when the nation's economy was already nose diving to a sorry state. Notwithstanding, it will certainly go down in history as a man whose first term in office witnessed so many unprecedented and radical performances in the service of governance in Osun State. He is someone who has the "call" to serve his people, for if he was looking for wealth, he was well grounded in Lagos State and already in control of one of the biggest constituencies in Nigeria and indeed he was a serving commissioner in one of the biggest ministries whose budget triple the entire budget of the whole of Osun State. He chose to return to his home state by call, it was at a time the state was being ruled by a General in the army and a no nonsense brigadier commander who had just returned from national security assignment in Mogadishu and a well trained officer who was determined to crush any oppositions of any form.

To rescue the state at that time, it therefore required a man with good spirit, plenty of prayers and with a committed "call" to serve and above all someone who is backed with a strong liver "BOLDNESS".

His love for the people of Osun State amongst other developmental mission was what propelled him to jettison his comfortability in Lagos and head to Osun State. His experience and several challenges faced during his sojourn and trials would never be forgotten by any student of history in Nigeria. Though, the then satanic accusations, attacks and series of intimidation faced by him simply made him stronger and it further placed more moral burden on him to do only those things that would please God and mankind.

As soon as he assumed office in November 2010, he mopped up whooping 200,000 unemployed graduates off the street of Osun State via a programme tagged "OYES" and many other empowerment programmes. It was unprecedented in the country and indeed a great relief for all and sundry which includes sons and daughters of the oppositions.

Good road networks and standard schools with quality school feeding programme became his next targets and was achieved among others. The people of Osogbo and Osun in entirety and indeed every indigene of the state who have great passion for transformation would never forget the tremendeous and noble roles of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola for turning the state capital to a megacity fit to be called state capital.

The oppositions and even the sponsored critics gave him kudos for the immediate repackaging of a certain loan obtained by his predecessor for six unnecessary stadiums across the state. The loan would have put the state in a monumental catastrophy if not for the wise counsel and intervention of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.

If we are today castigating Aregbesola for the delay in the payment of worker's salaries or not matching his first term achievement, what do we say of Buhari who had no opportunity of having the grip and deep knowledge of how bad the economy was when he took over the mantle of leadership. These people are full of energy and enthusiasm to perform but incapacitated, therefore to condemn them is to foolishly glorified those clever enemies of yesterday who watched our economy sliding into this horrible situation. They were fortunate to be in power during the oil boom but busy themselves in stealing, looting and siphoning the Nation treasury here and there and care not for our soldiers who fights with bare hands while they use pastor's aeroplane to ferry our money to their Private banks. May I ask, without being bias, should we blame Aregbesola or Buhari for this? NO..their eagles are only flying within their limited feathers and wings.

Jesus wept not because he lacked faith, but because he was full of love. In love, he weeps with those who weep. Both of them must be weeping for they have the desires to work and do all those things that would please God and certainly the arrow peaches through their hearts and indelible mark must be what they are nursing for they never bargain for what they met.

If the workers or those "possessed judges" think they are the worst hit, they should better know the politicians who made all these people are also complaining but what can they do....The Messiahs are equally groaning.

I have been accused of been too vocal,yet I have never for one day insulted my elder(s) or any monarch no mater how not well placed,I am a cultural ambassador per excellence, and so never shall I betray my emotion to do any of such disrespectful acts. I have also been accused of being too tough and fearless,yet I know my boundaries and never for once found attacking any person or community whatsoever....I never knew Late Misty,I read about him as a brilliant and committed ife person killed for nothing,I never met Chief Layade,I heard many good news about his achievement, I was never in AD with Otunba Omisore, so I know very little about his history in that party,I have never and would never accuse him for what I know nothing about.
No one argued my sincere love for my community, no controversy about my performances in the house. No controversy about my education. That to me should compensate for what they said to be my weakness,i'm human. I am the type that can't ignore stupidity, I cant be silenced or refuse to react especially if it involves my community and my people. Not even before the governor or president, I was born because of Ife. That statement keeps provoking the mischievous minds. What's next for me in life are things I can not get from President Buhari,Asiwaju,Gov Aregbesola or Oba Adeyeye ,they too can not give themselves long life. Can we actually run from death or shield ourselves from those series of unwarranted things of life by keeping mute in the face of truth, does my principle explaine those attacks received from those that never like my sudden entry to politics or those who felt challenged or threatened that I was not made by those who made them. They started their popularity from those role or roles they played during the crisis that left us with scars, but that does not mean we all did not contribute nor love this community dearly, he played this and do that, so he must be this and that,he can never be challenged. He came from Lagos or stays abroad,he can't just return and choose to lead,if he can't,must he be crucified.My popularity started from unnoticed Nollywood,my educational level was never in doubt,thank God for that. My pedigree as a successful civil servant and someone who voluntarily quit a very lucrative job was never their concern, and above all, my family background was the one that dazed them the more, never can they fault it .Late Alhaji Niniola Makinde was his father,the very man who lost all his investment as a quarry owner at oke dio during the said crises that gave them a lead, was all the Muslims,the Christians,the oniseese, and the oldies needed to make Rotimi's sojourn in politics a bit easier. Late Alhaji Niniola Makinde died leaving a good name which opened many doors for his son. You know,if you are not proud of your own parent,I am, and to those who know him well very well,many do confirmmy sincere blood for he was known to be a very articulate blunt person per excellence,lion hearted and he died without blemish,he was never a politician but adviser and friend to those men of honour of yesteryears.....
Olarotimi Mikhail Makinde ventured into the murky water of politics by "call", and with every sense of humility to serve and to leave a legacy with serious determination to succeed,he is the type who loves the like of Chief Eluyemi for he ensured many IFEs were fixed into museums accross the country, Chief Pade Adewuyi was known to me to have recruited many ifes to cocoa board,FFK was said to have done his best to various ife sons and daughters in the aviation industry,I love him and adore him very greatly,he is very intelligent. Otunba liberated my generation to politics in ife land,who is that youth that dare compete with those major players of yesteryears in ife.I am so determined to sustain the tempo and to beat every existing good records. I made the likes of Biyi Odunlade, Chief Kemade my secret adviser,I learned very fast from the like of Chief Akantioke how not to play politics without the establishment.Then I began to see why we are not getting it right,even the so called respected institutions never guide themselves with what they needed,politicians are left loose in ife land to use their discretionary and to satisfy their private desires.

Makinde,unknown to many grew under the tutelage of Late Chief Michael Akanbi Omisade who was his great Uncle, he was also known to be very committed to ife course and to the progressive camps,he was a very vocal politician may be to a fault and his roles can never be erased as a brilliant and committed lawyer in history....

FORGIVENESS:
The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong. Most of us can forgive and forget; we just don't want the other person to forget that we forgave. To forgive is the highest, most and beautiful form of love....Politician must be quick to forgive, I admit,so also man, as stated in both holy books and I guess that explained why responsible politician don't go for elimination but persuasion . Therefore,I am prepared to overlook the past and forget how my campaign office was frequently attacked,those 50 units of computers burnt by miscreants in the name of politics, they were been used by the young IFEs in a free computer centre donated by me,those 100 tricycles seized and burnt from those people that got it free from my generosity,my crime was simple,I preferred APC and convinced about Aregbesola,should that attract elimination and serial attacks to deprive our own people of all those things that made life easier. Forgiveness is just what we need to erase that day they brought helicopter to my residence and they ensured I never voted for Aregbesola.We can't but forgive, it is not by my making that I am alive today. To reposition ife politics,it is easy,not necessarily by me or those of us in the forefront now,but we must learn from the present and must jettison this ancient, myopics and parochial idea of calling for lives and embrace peace in totality. To begin this is never to send dangerous signal that we must live in perpetual fear for our dear lives. Friendships must cut across party lines,social life must not be limited to only your party persons but to see every ife as our brothers and sisters. Very funny, people were aghast to see me visiting my brother Dr Christopher Iyiola Omisore, baba NLA nonsense,what's the big deal in doing that,to those thug's in ife,the visit changed their narrow minds.Chief Kemade and one of the few I have utmost respect for in PDP do visit my residence,I love him because he loves ife and he's very intelligent, I dont think we would contest against each other politically...

RE ALIGNMENT:
Who say we can not be re aligned, tell me those things you know that made you stay put where you are as a politician and please allow me to say why I think my party is the best and we should all be for better advantages. Through that, if you may shift to mine and I may shift my position, who knows, you might have a superior argument that may change my mind.It is so flexible if you have what it takes to convince my person and ideology, especially if its to better our community. I hate to be lead by mediocre, I respect intelligent persons and appreciate good governance and I think I can recognize one if I see one. You can't be careless to let me know your selfishness,brigandage attitudes and criminal natures against my principles and your open stinginess to my people and community and still expect me to keep silent in the heat of any opportunity against you ,no way, if that is why many innocently branded me as or too vocal , then I doubt if I can change at my golden age...At age 70 ,my father was reported to have started confronting those he considered natty among his wives with all his might and with their atrocities....Life itself is temporary.let no one expect us to worship him or her in the name of power.
LIBERATION:
Ife electorates need aggressive liberation for our people to see politics as secondary and never to see politics as means of livelihood, everybody is a politician in ile ife today ,in every sectors and in every home,you will find politicians. The electorates are better politicians too and many are living like a leech on the fortunate ones we called representative ,all their daily,social needs and every of their obligations are pushed forward to the few successful one as liabilities and each of them goes for what they could do to outsmart, outplay one another to maximize their dividends of identifying with you,they are ever ready to kill or maim people on your behalf to please you,even if you do not send them, every success you record and every breakthrough you achieve henceforth was taken to be the results of their investment in you,your new clothes and new look is even the results of their commitment to you.The school fees for the kids of the lazy ones must be your responsibility, they prayed for their loved one to die when they are still getting your attention,this and many others are ironically the happenings only in Ife...Politician therefore choose to live fake life,pretentious and low prestigious life at home in order to continue to be relevant and to attract no mischievous and bad name as experienced by Makinde.

Ask them why they think Makinde is proud they would have nothing to say,he was reported to be talking to people any how,yet they could not say what and what he said that was wrong,all they seek is his attention and they envy those he might have stupidly enriched and wonder why not them! ... Serious enlightenment to stop unnecessary castigation is all we need in our midst... Ife people must start to appreciate one another and things and stop being labelled as ingrates.It is killing people's morale at different level,not only in politics. This to many may also be viewed as another aggressive analysis coming from Makinde but I plead to be tolerated to bear my honest mind,most of our people have this barbaric culture of looking down on things and prefer to go hungry with unnecessary pride than eating from their juniors.....Disgusting!

TRAVELLING IS A LESSON:
Must you as a person live all your life in ile ife,does that make you a better ife than others, and must you continue to expect miracle or wait endlessly until fortune smile on you politically in ife, while waiting, can't you act as an adult work somewhere to sustain yourself or family, must you eat good food only at funeral parties or social gathering or continue to see your single vote as license to live shamelessly and hang your life on your political representatives ...Let his or her reward be to the society and not to you as an individual, let your voluntary reward be secondary and an addendum to your expectation and pocket.
If we seek too many things from politics as a community, we shall continue to get only few things...Without politics we can make our community a better place for we all to triumph, let's change our prayers points, let's seek to have a good person at the top which may not necessarily be our blood but a committed ife lover who will rule us with the fear of God.

IFE,POLITICS AND THE WAY FORWARD:

An open letter to my people:

Ladies and gentlemen,

There are a lot of motivational thoughts and sayings about our people. We often dwells on some of the best of popular thoughts, sayings and imaginations about our people which is sometimes very inspirational and describing. No doubts, we have a lot to learn from the political jugnus of notes, fantastic quotations that truly deserve appreciations and encomiums.

However, if you aren't in the moment, you probably would not understand the pains of yesteryears, yesterday and so praying for better tomorrow can not be well said. We therefore can not but to pray for the rain of today to wash the pains of yesterdays and that of yesteryears.

The realist not only proffers solutions but they also carefully studies the puzzles, which means we must develop interest in getting sound understanding on how we actually got to this level as a kingdom. As far as Ife kingdom is concerns and in relation to the politics of today, the "STRONG" were MADE by the palace the "WEAK" were also "MAR" by the same establishment and the chains continues."Politics of plutocracy", The evil of yesterday is definitely the pains of today,The called ones are just emerging, they were born because of ife...

Tell me one person who could be privileged to know his abductor, attempted killer, the arsonist against his properties and yet feel safe, unhurt and pleased to the heart. I would also love to see a verse in the Bible or the Qur'an where a sin was forgiven without admittance of guilt or where it was done with pride and ego.

We often play to the gallery's and exercised fear in apportioning blames, we sweep many things under the carpet and always choose to forge ahead and in most cases we carried the scars and the venoms of revenge in our Kits'. We somehow make cases out of no case, celebrate where we have none, imagine we are dwelling on mere removal of our brother on ambassadorial list when indeed he deserved more than that as a royal gift and we as people should expect bigger patronage. It is an open fact that some communities and person are even rejecting such offer, here we are celebrating a Boyscout gift instead of a deserved Army reward, So sad, some mischievous fellows and some supposed politically exposed persons were even taking the undue advantage of this scenario to promote malice between the city and the Innocent governor and to cause dissatisfaction within our people in the name of their selfish ambition. I do not think we need such any longer.

Today we are lucky to be regaining our momentum and gradually, we are enjoying relatively peace, we are repositioning our kingdom with us been lucky for having a peace Ambassador as our Monarch and this we are experiencing we can not avoid to jettison. Isn't it ?

The politics of the state has not been quite favourable despite the fact that we are well placed, intellectually endowed,institutionally rich,naturally blessed and with enviable population and lands,our border is up to Ijebu Igbo in Ogun State,our generation or rather the fronteras keep playing politics with two Left legs.

The community were for several years led to the corrupt centre in a gruesome,selfish and blindfolded approach but sad enough,we have nothing to show for it ,we were then the referee,the captain and yet we couldn't get the ball pass the goal keepers who was also appointed by us, each of our passes was wrong targeted, the blessed institution on our soil was under utilized and left under the control of those we approved their survivability. We failed as a people to recognized the winds of change blowing across the country, good or bad, it was crystal clear the nation was drifting and change became eminence, alas, we got it wrong again, we were blindly prepared to jettison our very own even as our 'neighbors" and others who lives with friends as neighbors saw reasons to embrace changes ahead of us. Ife as a people and their strong establishment put their foots on the ground and the then Brigades commander once again led them to play the opposition match . Not just the Makinde, the Omoworare, Prince Sijuade and others lost in their homes, they were more loved by outsiders compared to where they originated from, their crime was simple, the establishment failed to appreciate them and so the brigadiers wanted a revenge and their word became a law!.

Today, we want immediate miracle, Sen. Jide Omoworare,the lucky one who was exceptional lucky to be voted in by outsiders is being expected to change the tides,moral obligations indeed!, politically naive Makinde who is recuperating and operating from weak point is being expected to remain the vocal, the amiable senator can only have his say as a legislator and not his way as the ifes so wish, Makinde can only have his opinions and not his way...We saw all these coming, we said it loud, no one listened to us, the establishment was so polarized and twisted to polarized the community and our people were so narrow minded and cajoled to believed their corrupted "Ife Agendas" are realizable...Suuke!

Well, It is normal to have feelings of unity with our people, family and friends. The unity referred to here must be profound and life changing - once experienced, a radical change of attitude is likely and this among others is what we need. We certainly can not canvas for one party system in our community,it is never done but I believed we can make it a point of sacrosanct to start playing politics without bitterness, we should stop the killings in our midst,pull him down syndrome, fighting with our eyes closed, the serial attacks and the bitterness. Not just that, we must stop fooling our people and stop making them to believe we could excel without other societies or communities. The issue of State capital is our wishful thinking, ruling the state of osun may be our fervent desires but can we achieve it without careful planning or love from home and outside and must we rule before we achieve dividend of democracy for our people. Love from outside is compulsory, essential peace is needed at home , we all can get essential votes from home only if we allow our people reasoning to prevail , it's our right but we need more than home love to break the jinx.

Ife Federal constituency have 42 wards,much of it are dominated by Oyo speaking communities, it consists of Four local governments, my mother is from the East while my father us from the central, yet remembered I won in the South and in the North local govt and also in all the Three wards that made of Modakeke, all these were where I was not born and the so called Oyo speaking environs , that was In the 2015 election and now a reference point and very much in my memory, the malicious loss was not because my opponent was better, younger or vibrant, nor because I was hate by the generality of my people, but because the establishment maliciously wanted it that way and may be because my opponent fortunately "belonged", the rest is now history.

Well, I operated as an opposition in my first term and my records are there, today he is also an opposition for we failed to get it right and most evidently caused by the "establishment" we wrongly use because we never belonged....

Our today desires are good and very fantastic we want the best for our community we wish to be hearing and seeing the IFEs here and there, we want serious developments, we wish to be the rulers and not the ruled, they are all good and fantastically better for our society though I am not an apostle of 'Omo wa ni e je o se" You can come from ile ife and not born because of Ife but born to milk ife.You may be a mere descendant of oduduwa and yet still love ife dearly,Who is that Yoruba that is not even from Ife,some Ekitis,Modakeke or Ijesas exist that even love ife than many of us who sings "am from the source", "am from the origin'. Etc .However, don't we think we must start seeing each others as one, to tolerate one another, value each others life as precious as ours and start to start touching our people's lives positively even without politics as been done by the like of HRM Oba Adewusi,the Ajinisoro, Dr Adedoyin and many others even with that we have and that we called little.
