Senator Fadahunsi Empowers Over 2,000 Widows, Elderly Women in Obokun with Food, Cash Aid
Senator Francis Fadahunsi OFR, representing Osun East Senatorial District (Ife/Ijesa) and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Industries, has reached out to over 2,000 elderly women and widows in Obokun Local Government Area with foodstuffs, financial aid, and empowerment materials.
The "Obokun Elderly Women and Widows Outreach" program unfolded at the popular Obokun Town Hall on Friday, drawing a large crowd from various communities. Senator Fadahunsi, known for his poverty alleviation efforts, emphasized support for often-overlooked groups like elderly women and widows, while also promoting youth development and general welfare to ease economic hardships and recognize their societal contributions.
In a passionate address, the Ijesa-born lawmaker urged women to mobilize en masse on August 15, 2026, to vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO.
"Enough of dancing; it's time for work. Osun deserves the best, and the only alternative for Osun is Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji he's highly educated, brave, and intelligent," Fadahunsi declared.
Elder Ayo Awodirepo, Senior Legislative Aide to the senator, described the event as part of broader initiatives to combat poverty and hunger through job opportunities and welfare programs.
The Ogboni of Ibokun, Oba Festus Awogboro, echoed the call to action, tasking attendees to obtain their permanent voter cards and vote out the "present failed government that lacks technical know-how" in favor of AMBO on August 15.
Beneficiary representative, Mrs. Adenike Adeyanju, praised the senator's consistent support for vulnerable community members.
