Kwara NG-CARES MSMEs disowns fraudulent platforms, impersonation

The Kwara NG-CARE for MSMEs has alerted members of the public to some fraudulent platforms and scammers purportedly acting in its name across social media platforms.

The NG-CARES MSMES urged members of the public to be cautious of fraudulent activities being perpetrated by the scammers.

The programme also dissociated itself from any claims of requesting payment for applications or shortlisting for benefits.

NG-CARE for MSMEs said its current application VOL. 3.0 closed on Saturday, July 13, 2024, and there is no such thing as a HOUSEHOLD FUND under the Result Area 3 for MSMEs.

The programme is solely focused on cushioning the effect of post COVID-19 pandemic on businesses in the state, it added.

The Kwara NG-CARE for MSMEs has reiterated that their application process is free and has asked the public to be vigilant and not fall prey to scammers who are trying to exploit their good name.

The programme is committed to supporting businesses in the state and will not engage in any fraudulent activities.

The public is urged to report any suspicious activities or individuals claiming to represent the Kwara NG-CARE for MSMEs to the appropriate authorities.

"Let us work together to prevent these hackers from spoiling the good work of His Excellency , Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON," it said.

This is sequel to the approval of His Excellency, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, for the re-opening of the registration portal for the third phase of Kwara NG-CARES for MSMEs Operational Support Grant and his unwavering support and visionary leadership in championing initiatives that empower MSMEs.

We encourage all Nano, Micro, and Small-Scale business owners in Kwara State who have physically verifiable existing businesses to seize this opportunity to register and access the operational grant support.

The COVID-19 pandemic is a historic phenomenon whose impact on the economy and livelihood activities of the citizens of not just Kwara State but Nigeria as a whole cannot be quickly forgotten.

However, The Nigeria COVID-19 Action Recovery & Economic Stimulus (NG-CARES) Programme is an intervention designed and supported by the World Bank, implemented by the supervising Agency Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) which came at the right time to complement the effort of His Excellency, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazak and serve as a springboard through which social intervention drive of Kwara State can be boosted.

The Objectives of the Kwara NG-CARES For MSMEs Programme are:

-To provide relief, facilitate recovery, and enhance the capabilities of vulnerable business owners in Kwara State.

So far, we are proud of the results gotten from Result Area 3 for MSMEs of the KWARA NG-CARES Programme with a Disbursement of N50,000 to Nano Businesses, N200,000 Operational Business Grant to Micro businesses & N500,000 Grant to Small-scale businesses supporting a total of 8,105 vulnerable businesses during the Second Phase of the intervention
