As ADE-QUATEs, we are strategically positioning ourselves to prepare for the upcoming election year. Our focus is on ensuring that the right individuals are elected into leadership positions. While we actively engage in constructive criticism of government policies that don't serve the nation's interest and offer viable solutions, we also respect and uphold democratic principles. Our leader, Prince Adewole Adebayo, has been at the forefront of this effort, appearing on national TV, speaking at public functions, and commenting on social media.

Our ongoing advocacy is centered on transforming the political and governance landscape to ensure that all stakeholders - politicians, political parties, electorates, and the electoral body - prioritize the right approaches from candidate nomination to the ballot box. Doing this will safeguard us against poor leadership. Our priority should be channeling our energy into educating and enlightening the electorates especially Youth and Women to exercise their right to participate actively in Politics and vote wisely in elections.

"In our democracy, let us normalise protests by making them peaceful, patriotic and purposeful. No room for tension or state of emergency if we agree that arson, looting, obstruction, rage, riots, vandalism, violence and threats of danger are not protests but crimes. Protest daily" ~Prince Adewole Adebayo

As ADE-QUATEs, we have consistently voiced our concerns and advocated for voters to reject candidates lacking a clear vision. In the last election, we campaigned, protested, and voted against the current economic hardship, but the majority decision has led to today's reality. We believe that marching on the streets and demanding solutions from those who cannot deliver is ineffective.

However, if we must protest, we must clearly distinguish between legitimate protests and criminal activities, and never tolerate or condone the latter. We strongly advocate for peaceful protests as a means of exercising our democratic rights and holding those in power accountable. We recognize that peaceful and purposeful protests are essential to democracy and must avoid destructive behavior that can lead to tension, state of emergency, or harm to others.

The situation we face today is a result of our choice to wait until after elections to find hope, rather than embracing it from the start by making hopeful choices at the voting booth. We can't have it both ways - we must choose hope from the beginning, during election preparations, campaigns, and at the ballot box. To break the cycle of moving from one crisis to another, we must align ourselves with hopeful leadership from the outset. This will allow us to avoid false promises and find leaders who genuinely inspire hope. Let's seek out leaders who embody our hopes, rather than those who only promise hope until the end of their terms.

Join us in the to work together towards a prosperous future.

Beyond Protests: Empowering Change through Informed Citizenship and Visionary Leadership

As Nigerians, we've grown accustomed to taking to the streets to express our discontent with the government's policies and actions. While protests can be a powerful tool for sparking change, they can only be more effective as the first step and the first step begin at the point of engaging candidates before election. To truly transform our country, we must move beyond protests and focus on building a more informed and engaged citizenry, capable of electing visionary leaders who can challenge the status quo.

Creating real change will require us to educate ourselves on the issues affecting our country. This means looking beyond the surface level and understanding the root causes of our problems. We must also stay informed about the debates and campaigns by the Political parties and candidates, paying attention to them would aid us to know the better direction.

The quality of our leaders determines the quality of our country. To change the status quo, we must elect leaders who possess a clear vision for Nigeria's future, leaders who are committed to serving the people, not just special interests. We must look beyond party affiliations and focus on the character, competence, and policies of those seeking office.

Also, Change begins at the grassroots level. We must engage with our communities, building coalitions and partnerships that can drive progress and make the electorates stay informed and act honorably in Elections.

Advocating for change should be through effective means; using our voices to push for policies and programs that benefit the many, not just the few. This includes signing petitions and contacting our representatives at both chambers of the National Assembly and State Assemblies to demand action. Protests are just the beginning. We must move beyond the streets and focus more on building a more informed, engaged, and active citizenry.

_The Tinubu administration must understand that the policies they have chosen have thrown a lot of Nigerians into severe hardship. Nigerians must equally understand that protests will not solve their issues if they keep electing leaders who deviate from providing solutions to the fundamental problems of the common man._

Following the historic Supreme Court ruling granting financial autonomy to local government councils, we must now harness this momentum to ensure that dynamic, competent, and credible leaders are elected to spearhead the LGA councils. The ultimate goal is to establish effective local governments that actualize the judgment's intent and uphold the principles enshrined in Chapter 2 of our Constitution, delivering impactful governance to the grassroots.

In line with our advocacy for youthful leadership, Prince Atagbede Yakubu, a visionary member of ADE-QUATE from Ujagba in Ajaka ward 1 of Igalamela/Odolu LGA, Kogi state, has been inspired by the _ADEOLOGY_ and is now contesting for the position of Igalamela/Odolu LGA Chairman under the Social Democratic Party. As Kogi State prepares for local government elections, we urge members of the SDP and well-meaning citizens of Igalamela/Odolu LGA to rally behind Prince Atagbede Yakubu, confident in his capacity to deliver good governance for the collective benefit of all.

We also extend our call to ADE-QUATEs within and beyond Kogi State to support this transformative project, championing the for a prosperous future.

The Blame Game: Nigeria's Endless Cycle of Finger-Pointing

We are undeniably a nation plagued by political shenanigans, economic stagnation, and social unrest, with everyone turning every space to a theater of blame-shifting without readiness for proper solution. The masses, past leaders, and current leaders are engaged in a relentless game of finger-pointing, each absolving themselves of responsibility for the country's woes.

The masses blame the past and current leaders for the nation's predicament, citing corruption, mismanagement, and poor governance. We lament the lack of basic amenities, infrastructure, and opportunities, laying the burden of responsibility squarely on the shoulders of those in power.

Current leaders, in turn, deflect criticism by blaming their predecessors for the inherited problems, citing the challenges of cleaning up the mess left behind. They claim to be working tirelessly to address the issues, but are hindered by the weight of legacy corruption and inefficiency.

Meanwhile, past leaders blame the current administration for failing to build upon their achievements, accusing them of squandering opportunities and reversing progress made during their tenure. They claim their own legacies are being unfairly tarnished by the present leadership's incompetence.

This cycle of blame-shifting has become a convenient escape route for those in power, allowing them to sidestep accountability and evade the scrutiny of their own performance. It perpetuates a culture of impunity, where leaders prioritize self-preservation over the nation's well-being. Masses (electorates) on the other hand misuses their right to Vote and end up electing people they would later come to blame.

Join and let's break this endless cycle of Finger-Pointing. It's time to move beyond the blame game and focus on collective responsibility, collaborative problem-solving with realistic Ideas to forge a path towards Prosperity.

"Nigerians talk so much about how our leaders steal our money and plunder our resources but we have to pay attention also to how they steal our dreams and plunder our opportunities because visionless rulers are a complete waste of time. We must replace the status quo to dream big". ~ Prince Adewole Adebayo

Beyond complaining and calling out the bad leadership for plundering our tangible assets, there are also the intangible assets, such as dreams and opportunities, that are being stolen and shattered.
The Leaders' corruption and mismanagement have a broader impact, extending beyond financial resources to the nation's potential and aspirations. And the Visionless leadership we have been electing is a direct hindrance to progress, wasting the country's time and potential.
We must recognize that what will work for us and provide reassurance for greater country is "replacing the status quo" with a new vision and leadership that will: Encourage big dreams, Foster opportunities and drive progress

Join and let's address the impact of poor leadership on our nation's collective future and aspirations.

The right to vote leaders of our choice in Elections and the right to protest against bad policies of the Government are both provided in the Constitution. But our problem is that we have choosing to focus more on echoing and guarding the right to protest, and failing to adequately use the right to Vote our choice of leaders that would prevent consistent happenings that brings about discussions for Protest and government reactions to protest.

We have to reengineer our thoughts about Democracy and how best our rights can be use to build a better country.

Join today and let's have our rights strengthened to serve as proactive measures to ensure that the real dividend of democracy is provided and enjoy by all.

"You want to remove subsidy fraud when those who are making money from subsidy are the ones sponsoring your election, so we are struggling with this; there are entrenched interest.
You don't change the Government, they just change the head and bring another person". ~ Prince Adewole Adebayo 2022.

Where are the lies?

Subsidy fraud has been a deeply ingrained issue in the government over some decades. Those who benefit financially from subsidy fraud are also the ones funding political campaigns and elections, and this creates a conflict of interest, making it difficult to eliminate subsidy fraud. That's why even the Government that claimed to have removed subsidy is still battling in pretence.
The real power brokers in the government are not the elected officials, but the "entrenched interests" who maintain their influence regardless of changes in leadership.
You can't reform a corrupt system when those who benefit from it are also those who hold power and influence.
So, what we need to do, is to ensure that we elect a president that will form a government with people different from the Current cycle.
