BREAKING: Gov Abdulrazaq commends President's hands-on approach as Eruku 38 regain freedom

After many days of hard work by security forces and government representatives, HE Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq (CON) is excited to announce the freedom of 38 persons who were recently abducted in an attack on Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Eruku, Ekiti LGA, Kwara Kwara.

The Governor says this is wholly due to the hands-on approach of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, who has personally led the efforts to free the abductees.

The abductees were freed today, November 23. The Governor is immensely grateful to President Bola Tinubu, GCFR, for his direct initiative that made this happen.

The President had called off his scheduled trip for the G20 Meeting in South Africa to attend to the breaches in Kwara and Kebbi States. He had also directed heightened security deployments to Kwara, in what underlined his firm commitment to the safety and wellbeing of our people and Nigerians as a whole.

The Governor also expresses appreciation to the Office of the National Security Adviser; the Department of State Services (DSS); the Nigerian Army; Nigeria Intelligence Agency; and, of course, the Nigeria Police, which has graciously deployed four new tactical teams to Kwara State on the directive of the President.

The Governor also thanks members of the security forces across board, thought leaders, religious institutions, and all Kwarans for their support and goodwill since the unfortunate incident.

KWSG UPDATE: Troops of the Nigerian Army on Friday repelled an attack on Woro community in Kaiama Local Government Area, Kwara North.

Armed bandits launched a midnight assault attempting to breach the village under the cover of darkness.

However, they were met with fierce response from the troops of the Nigerian Army, who engaged them in an intense exchange of gunfire.

Reports from within the community confirmed that the timely intervention of security forces prevented disasters.

The operations ensured that NO resident was kidnapped.

Calm has since returned to Woro, with residents going about their lawful businesses.

The combined security forces are working with the community heads and other stakeholders for follow-up operations in the surrounding areas to track down fleeing criminal elements and comb the surrounding forests.

As constantly said by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, no stone will be left unturned to protect the lives and properties of Kwarans.

Kudos to our brave security operatives. 👏

GOVERNOR ABDULRAZAQ CELEBRATES EMIR OF ILORIN’S 30 YEARS OF TRANSFORMATIVE, PEACEFUL LEADERSHIP

Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq heartily rejoices with the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Kwara State Council of Chiefs Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, on the 30th anniversary of his ascending the throne of Sheikh Alimi.

Governor AbdulRazaq says the 30 years have been defined by positive transformative developments in the Ilorin Emirate as the capital city under him has evolved to be one of Nigeria’s most peaceful and beautiful communities.

The Governor commends the calmness and the wisdom of His Royal Highness in his leadership of the Traditional Council, and acknowledges his support for good governance, infrastructural renewal in Ilorin, and sociocultural transformation of the Emirate under his reign.

“His Royal Highness, a retired senior judge, is reputable for his love for law and order, underscoring his commitment to democracy, rule of law, and development,” according to a statement of the Governor.

Governor AbdulRazaq wishes His Royal Highness good health, longer reign, Allaah’s continuous guidance and protection on the throne of his forefathers, and honoured ending.
