Some friendships outlive time. Some memories only get sweeter with age and without is a reunion with Buga?

I had the honour of joining the Class of 1986 of Queen Elizabeth School, Ilorin, as they celebrated 40 years of sisterhood, friendship and shared legacy,

Forty years later, the bond remains..

Some reunions are gentle reminders of who we were, how far we have come, and the difference we can still make together.

On Saturday, I had the honour of joining the Maiden Kwara Campus Poetry Championship for a fireside chat on gender inclusion, equality, the role of government, and the transformative power of poetry.

The performances were beautiful, the conversations were insightful, and the contribution of Beautiful Nubia added depth to an already inspiring gathering.

Under the leadership of H.E. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq Kwara continues to create platforms where young people can express themselves, develop their talents and shape the future.

My sincere commendation to the convener, Dr. El-Amir,

The world is coming to Abuja and Nigeria must tell its story boldly.

I joined fellow Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (Kwara Chapter)for the roadshow ahead of the World Public Relations Forum (WPRF).

Proud to be part of a profession that shapes narratives, builds trust and projects.

October 1st, H.E Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq , led Kwara’s 66th Independence Anniversary celebration, marked by a proud parade, Guard of Honour and a beautiful display of national pride.

I also spent the day taking the Kwara story to the airwaves with H.C Education, S.A Media and Chairman, Lower Niger River Basin development authority. From Radio to Television, we had conversations about the achievements of Kwara State Government the reforms, the progress, the opportunities created and the work still ahead.

Kwara is not starting over. We are building forward.

There is still work to do. But there is also progress worth acknowledging.

Proud to serve. Proud to tell the Kwara story. Proud to be part of the journey.

Kwara is sitting on treasures that many of us have never even seen.

Yesterday, as we celebrated World Tourism Day, I found myself reflecting on just how much beauty, history, culture and opportunity we have right here in Kwara.

From our landscapes and heritage sites to our festivals, food, crafts, traditions and untold stories, there is so much to discover and so much that remains largely unexplored.

H.E Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has continued to support, reposition and elevate tourism in Kwara, recognising its potential not only as a cultural asset but as an important driver of economic opportunity, jobs and the creative economy.

But there is still so much more to do gladly we are not starting from zero. We are building on what we have, telling our stories better, opening up our destinations and inviting the world to discover Kwara’s tourism assets.

Every message can shape a community. And in an election season, what goes on air can either strengthen peace or undermine it.

Today, I met with the Radio Monitoring Unit of the Ministry of Communications to review our systems, identify areas for improvement, and strengthen our preparedness

Our responsibility goes beyond monitoring what is broadcast. It is about staying ahead of misinformation, understanding emerging narratives, promoting responsible communication, and ensuring that the airwaves contribute to peace, stability and informed civic participation across Kwara.

Radio remains one of the most powerful channels for reaching our people, especially at the grassroots. We must therefore be intentional about what we hear, how quickly we respond, and how effectively we use information to build trust.

For us, communication is not just about talking. It is about listening, understanding and keeping Kwara informed, peaceful and connected.

I wasn’t raised to give up, I was raised to believe.

My parents taught me to have faith, work hard, stay humble, and never lose myself trying to become someone else.

So I’m trusting God, doing the work, and walking boldly in who I am.

Faith in my heart. Hustle in my hands. Purpose in my steps.

And no apologies for being me.
