, O you believers, Surely, mushrikoon (polyteist) are impure, do not allow them into masjid (mosque) of alharam (at mecca). 9:28.
👇
Hopefully, when next we see anyone claiming to be 3 in 1, we will let them know that mosque is only for Muslims (those who submit to Only one God called (Allah) not those that are , , , and still holds title in iledi.
👇
Our fathers in the western regions like bàbà lamunigun, bàbà lagbaji, tajuli adab, tajú limuhmeen, shaikh kamaldeen aldaby, shaikh Adam al-ilory etc were not against using leaves for medicines to cure illness but were very Stern against idol worshippers.
👇
They don't allow them into the mosque, they don't even go to functions with them and resist them until virtually many of them became Muslims and denounced idol worshipping and became Muslims.
👇
They tell them point blank if you don't denounce your idol worshipping Islamically you are not a Muslim and hell-fire is your abode. Many practiced it secretly but today we now see ọbas leading eid prayers and misbehaving in the mosque.
👇
Many Muslim calling pasoma, ayinde wasiu, osupa etc on isẹse day, to celebrate ègún, ọdún ifá etc
The trend needs to be addressed and reverse. This is not religion tolerance, it is mixing polytheism with monotheism.
👇
Yes non Muslims can enter into the mosque if he wants to clarify some questions or learn about Islam. If he needs safety or in need of sustenance like beg for food or fetching water from mosque premises etc but not to mock or worship.
👇
May Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) continue to guide us aright and protect us from satanic influence. .

ILORIN TODAY: MY FEAR FOR TOMORROW

My first night outing came up last night, and it sadden my heart passing through Ita Ogunbo/Pakata axis and seeing few crowd at Alfa Okutagidi Ramadan night lecture compare to what we used to have during his lifetime. I heard the same thing applicable to Shaykh Ahmad Alaye's own. Just the first Ramadan after their demise and their lecture's venue is becoming deserted.

I don't know why, but I saw that Salati's lecture at the popular ever crowded Ode Alfa Nda didn't come up also, but with my experience of that sacred venue, it has not been like how it used to be during the time of Late Naqibul Ashraf, Shaykh Abdullah Salaty.
The situation actually changed during the first few years of Amirul Jaesh Shaykh Yahya Salaty ascension, but looking back to two to three years till present, the tone of music is fast changing off the beats.

My headache is that would become of Ilorin in the years to come considering the fact the set of up growing clerics including the Khalifah of those who had gone are too engrossed and concerned about worldly affairs and its materials?

How would we able to sustain the tempo of pietistic our revered town and her clerics is known for?

What would become of Ilorin youths religion-wise? If the heritage of Ramadan in our society eventually sent to river of oblivion by our quest for civilization and worldly materials?

I pray and hope that our yesterday would not be better than our today and tomorrow.
"OLOHUN MA JE KI YANYAN O TAN N'ILORIN" of Ramadan in my dear hometown Ilorin. Being thorough bred Ilorite, I am always of the belief that no where in this world, save Makkah can be like my Ilorin when it comes to religious activities now that is even Ramadan's period, and in order to savour the ambiance of this holy period to fullest just as before, I left with no option than to come home.

*ETHNIC PLURALISM IN ILORIN*

An important area of interest is the composition and evolution of Ilorin as an ethno-cultural melting point.
That Ilorin, at a point in time, was peopled almost exclusively by Yorubas, is not in dispute. However, with the passage of time, the community became culturally multifarious following the influx of a multiplicity of other cultural and sub-cultural groups so much that by the time civil strife occurred between Afonja and Shehu Alimi`s Jama`a about 1807, the combined population of the Jama`a in Gambari, Fulani and Okesuna areas who were mainly non-Yorubas had greatly exceeded that of the Kakanfo`s compatriots who were confined to Idi-ape and its environs, including Dada.

It is incontrovertible, for instance, that at the time of Shehu alimi`s arrival in Ilorin, the area now called Alanamu and Ajikobi wards were sparsely inhabited. The areas were opened up later for settlement by some Yoruba members of the retinue which accompanied Shehu Alimi to Ilorin under the leadership of Usman and Se`eni who afterwards became Balogun Ajikobi and Balogun Alanamu respectively.

It was a massive influx of people of assorted cultural background, after Islamic governance had been firmly established, that conditioned the demographic size, composition and texture of Ilorin. With the resultant ethnic and cultural heterogeneity, Islam became the common denominator and the only unifying factor. It facilitated inter-mingling, socialization and integration among the various peoples.
Consequently, a unique Islamic culture, into which the diverse cultures melted, emerged. However, the infectious Yoruba language became the lingua franca.
The consequent submergence of all other languages into Yoruba gives an illusory impression of monolithic culture by obscuring the cultural pluralism inherent in the Emirate, particularly in Ilorin, where a substantial proportion of the indigenous population is anthropologically non-Yoruba.
For example, the following non-Yoruba families randomly sampled in the seemingly Yoruba-dominated “Oke Imole” no longer bear their original non-Yoruba identities. This illustrates the depth of cultural assimilation that has occurred and gives a deceptive impression of the ethno-cultural complexity of Ilorin.

The core families in Agbaji namely; Ile Saura, Ile Aburo, Ile Baba Sa`are, Ile Agoro and Ile Imam Agbaji were originally Sudanese Arabs from a town called Ar-Baji on the Blue Nile. So also were the ancestral parents of the people of Ile Ara-Agbaji at Masingba, Oke Imole. Ile Hejebu, Ile Singini, Ile Oloko, Ile Oniko, Ile Ada-Ara and Ile Majo are extensions of the core families in Agbaji.
Members of Ile Ibrahim Bature at Oke-Apomu are Arabs by origin. They migrated to Ilorin from Agades from Niger Republic. The Ojibara family in the same area is of Fulani descent. They initially sojourned in Borno before they migrated to Ilorin finally.

The people of Ile Ture of Ode Alausa, like members of the core families at Agbaji are Sudanese migrants in Ilorin.
The Solagberu family at Agbaji, the Onagun family of Ita-Egba, the members of Ile Oloyin (formerly called Ile Igbon) at Ita Elepa, the Giwa family of Popo Giwa and the Mekabara family of Ita Ogunbo are Kanuri migrants. Solagberu migrated from Bama in Bornu and was founder of ancient Okesuna. The Oninahu family at Kuntu and Muqaddam Adangba`s progenitors were Kanuri kins of the Giwa family at Popo.
The family of Magaji Kuntu are Boko-Barubas paternally and Fulani maternally while members of Ile Eleran in Adangba are Barubas. Both of them migrated to Ilorin via Kobayi.

Some of the other families which migrated from Kobayi to Ilorin are Magaji Oku-Ajanaku of Oke-Kura who are Fulani, Baba Kinni (that is Shaikh Saliman Ake`s family) of Omoda and the Imam Imole family (at both Oke Imole and Fa`agba), who are Malians.
The Ala`aya family of Pakata/Ubandawaki, the Elewu Sanyan family and the Ile Ele`eru of Popo Giwa /Okeleru area are Malian Fulani by origin. The renowned Alfa Nda-Salati was, of course, Nupe.
Members of the following families are Hausa by ancestry: Ile Alalikinla (that is, late S.K. Dan Alhaji`s family) at Ita Ogunbo, Ile Shiru at Ode Alfa Nda, Ile Saba`ani (that is, Ile Imam Kadara) at Ode Alausa and Ile Saba`ani at Idi-Orombo, Ile Jawando at Ita Ogunbo and Ile Alfa Ajongolo, which was formerly called Ile Alapata.

Ile Kakandiyan now called Ile okudile on Popo Giwa is Nupe while Ile Tejidini at Idi Igba is Fulani. Members of Ile Alaro of Popo Giwa are Gwari.
Magaji Ojuekun family is paternally Kanuri but maternally related to the Alaafin of Oyo while the Afunku family of Alanamu has Baruba ancestory.

A similar random sampling of families in Balogun Fulani ward indicates that the ward, contrary to popular assumption, is ethno-culturally more Yoruba than Fulani even though it is called and regarded as Fulani ward. The following examples illustrate the point:
The famous Alfa Tukur Asunnara and Alfa Erubu were Yoruba.

The Alaya-bi-agba family is Igbomina from Omu-Aran as are Oniyangis who came from Ada-nla near Igbaja; the Edun family, which is Igbomina, too, came from Ila Orangun although Alhaji Buhari Edun had a Nupe mother.
Babatunde Gada, the first secretary of IEDPU, who resided in the Fulani ward, came from Laduba. Members of the other notable families of Fulani ward, like the Audu Gada family, with whom the name “Gada” is associated came from Igbomina land. The family of late honourable Ibrahim La`aro, too, came from Igbaja.

In the case of Balogun Gambari ward, although the word is preponderantly a mix grill of Hausa, Kanuri, Nupe, Gwari, Baruba and Kemberi. There are Yorubas even among the key chieftancy families in the ward. The Ajia Opele of Ita-Ajia is one of such families. Members of Abubakr Lah`s family in Ile Alaro of Baruba area are Yoruba from Oyo-Ile and came to Ilorin via Ogundele.
Because of the adoption of Yoruba as lingua franca, names, especially cognomen, are deceptive, regarding their ethnic origin of their bearers. For example, the Ilorin man with Yoruba cognomen: Alabi Opo may, infact, be a Torokawa Fulani by ancestry. This phenomenon ventilates the magnitude of acculturation in Ilorin.

FORMER CSO OF LATE GEN. SANI ABACHA
Major Al-Mustapha (rtd) EXPOSES ex-Head of State, Lt-Gen. Abdulsalami (rtd) on "CORRUPTION" charges.
Call it, "Masu Gudu, Su Gudu !!"
-----------------------------
THIS ABOUT THE PEACE COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN, GEN ABDUSALAMI ABUBAKAR....Let's see how corrupt he is:..PLEASE READ AND SHARE
"When General Abdulsalami came to power, he exhibited an accumulated and accentuated thirst for money. I stumbled on some documents and video cassettes even while in retirement.
"There was the case of $40 million contributed by multinationals for General Sani Abacha’s transmutation to civilian president. I gave the cassette of his disclosure to help him clean the system not knowing that he would use it to clean me out of the system because three days later I was arrested. I urge the commission to investigate this money contributed by multinational towards Abacha’s self-succession.
"There was also the case of Engineer Buba Galadima, Director of NMA whom General Abdulsalami Abubakar directed to release N5 billion from the NMA to the minister through Chief Hope Ozodinma. But Galadima refused saying it was beyond his power to do so. That same afternoon, a lorry load of soldiers invaded his house managed him and took him to an unknown destination. He was ordered to put in his letter of resignation so as to look as if he resigned voluntarily but he refused and asked General Abubakar to fire him. He was fired and he was given two hours to vacate his official quarters.
"The N5 billion was to be shared like this: "1.35 to be given to the minister, Chief Hope would be given N265 million and $18 million would be given to General Abubakar. I have documents to prove this (He than tendered the documents).
"There is the issue of the printing of new naira denominations, of 100, 200 and 500. I shared Mustapha’s opinions on this which he explained in his testimony that it was a b***y trap for President Olusegun Obasanjo to fail. I have 13 documents to prove this which I shall tender, before this commission.
"When General Abacha was alive the idea of the printing of new naira denominations was mooted. Three companies bided for the contract - J.B. of Munich; Thomas & Co. Of London, and Bodous of Germany. They all submitted their quotations. They all agreed on $30 per one thousand pieces but General Abacha said it was too much. The agreement was not sealed before his death. When General Abdulsalami came on board, he said it should be printed at $45 per thousand. G & D was given the contract of printing and here was the company reputed for tax evasion. The company has offices in Germany, Greece, Spain, Belgium, Argentina and other places, but only has a liaison office in Nigeria. The company evaded tax to the tune of 2 million Dutch marks in Germany. This is the same company given the job to print the money I commenced investigations into the activities of this company but General Abubakar ordered me to stop it. All these were known to him.
"The NTA in its news at 7 and 9 p.m. on January 11, 2001 reported that a container load of fake naira notes was discovered in Jos and Maiduguri. This is what I am talking about.
"During Abdulsalami’s time, our soldiers in ECOMOG were not treated well at all. General Victor Malu then ECOMOG Commander once had cause to complain of adulterated fuel sent to them. When the contract for the supply of food to our soldiers was changed, it was given to one lady, I will mention her name later.
When General Abacha was alive 45 dollars was approved a day for each of our soldiers but when Gen. Abubakar came to power he increased it. But instead of giving them the money, they were given the old rate, where is the balance?
"There is the issue of parting gift to each PRC member. N1 million was agreed as parting gift for each PRC member or 500,000 dollars. I inquired from two PRC members later differently. I asked them jokingly that I learnt you were all given ½ a million dollars as parting gift. Where is my own share now? But they told me it was only 50,000 dollars. So what happened to the remaining 450,000 dollars per each PRC member times the total PRC members?
Before General Abacha died, he left a foreign reserve of 9.7 billion dollars. There are papers to show this. But Abubakar claimed that only 7.17 billion dollars was left in the reserve what happened to the balance? This reserve that Abacha accumulated in five years, Abdulsalami depleted if in nine months.
"Eagle Square here in Abuja was being renovated yearly when General Oseni was FCT Minister. Consultants were appointed for the renovation at N230 million. But General Abdulsalami rejected this and opted for upward review of N2.3 billion as against N230m.
"Also through 59 million dollars he siphoned from government coffers he bought a house in London at 5 million pounds renovated it at 1 million pounds.
"Before General Abacha died he approved 66 million Dutch marks for the maintenance of Alpha jets and other aircraft. When Abubakar took over he wrote another memo for the sum of 44,275,000 dollars for the same maintenance. I would have wished he was here to cross check if this signature on these documents were his.
"There was also another memo from the CGS dated March 17 1999 at the injury time of the administration. There was request for the purchase of boats at 45 million dollars, purchase of amphibious plane at 21,747,660 dollars; and 5,000 rain coats jacket to cost 14,500,00 dollars. The normal cost of one rain coat to pocket were from rain is 45 dollar per piece and the total cost for the 5,000 rain coats should be 2,9000 dollars. It was signed by General Abdulsalami Abubakar to be purchased on ECOMOG issue, apart from the naval personnel that used to transport the food items, it was later given to merchant ships.
"There is the issue of Engineer Ibrahim Ali, MD of NPA. General Abubakar called him one day and told him since General Abacha did not give you free hand to do your duties, bring your quotation and I will give you the wherewithal to execute it. He brought it to Abdulsalami. He met Alhaji Gidado Idris, former Secretary to the Federation there. Abdulsalami approved it for ex*****on but when Ali left Abdulsalami ordered Gidado Idris to fire Ali when Gidado wanted to refuse, he fired him that if he didn’t do it somebody else would do it and that was how he was fired.
Yet, when AbdusSalam Abubakar handed over power to President Obasanjo on 29 May 1999, only the of $ 200 m. was left as Nigeria's foreign reserve. Let President Obasanjo speak in the name of GOD ALMIGHTY and for the sake of poor Nigerians.

KWARA STATE @50 YEARS: A TIME FOR CELEBRATION OR A TIME TO PROTEST?

SEASON 1

Good day to you all our esteemed viewers on the new media. Let us again thank Almighty God, for His goodness upon our lives. Inspite of the burning and biting effects of this recession, occasioned by the activities of the luciferous elements within and around the corridors of power, coupled with ineptitude on the part of those managing our economy, we still thank God for the gift of life!

We took time to as usual go over various news items on social media. While doing so, we came across a release credited to Dr. Muideen Olufemi Akorede, Senior Special Assistant on Media & Communication to Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State. In his release, he informed us about Kwara State Government preparation towards marking the 50th Anniversary of the creation of Kwara State. Infact, a 31 man committee has already started working, just to organise a befitting celebration. A celebration in which millions of our naira, will again be wasted on a meaningless charade by those whom providence has put in the seat of power. The annoying aspect is, there are so many people suffering and in serious pain as a result of unpaid salaries and entitlements. Yet, Kwara State Government would rather celebrate with their few friends and cronies than to put smiles on the faces of those ones who have being working for months without being paid.

SO! WHAT PRECISELY ARE THEY CELEBRATING? INFACT, LET US PUT IT THIS WAY!....... DO WE ACTUALLY HAVE ANY REASON TO CELEBRATE OUR 50 YEARS AS A STATE? AND WHY SHOULD WE BE CELEBRATING? Are we celebrating our level of development or how retrogressed we have become? We looked around us and what we see are very serious hunger, lack, frustration and deprivation in the land! So what is the cause of the merry making? The reality on ground is....... Majorly, those within and surrounding the corridors of power are actually the ones doing well... Most
