*NEGLECTING THE POLITICAL CAUCUS A CATHOLICAN TO THE POOR ELECTORAL SYSTEM IN KWARA STATE*

As the local government election is knocking the door in kwara state, many kwarans have been in a state of dilemma over the party to vote for either party A or party B.
It is essential to mark that, despite the fact that political party system is one of the fundamental integral part of democracy, yet it remains the main cause for the dwindling fortune of Nigerian electoral system.
According to Dr. Abdulrasak Alaro, a lecturer at faculty of law of university of ilorin, he postulated that "A party member will always prioritise the interest of the party over the interest of the citizens even if the party interest is not good"this statement proves that each party care for itself than for the Nation.
In the same vein Dr. Gilchrist considered the political party as the major cause of factionalism. The coining of the two above ideas speak a volume about the disastrous effect of political parties.
To solve the above problem, it is necessary to consider the quality of the aspirant than the party the person belongs to, it is even less obvious to voters the shortcomings of the aspirant so far they have been blindfolded by the interest of the party
To buttress my reason for clamouring on the need for the negligence to party and to focus on the quality of the aspirant, applying this method will also save us from being captured as a slave by one party and thus leads to competition of goodness between them,which is main reason to for the election.
So as a way of achieving a better result in the forthcoming election, we have to focus on is Mr. A. better Mr. B?,rather than putting the parties in the consideration and at such it will refurbish our political and even economic system
