Today in Ilorin, the 6th phase of my agricultural support programme was officially flagged off with the distribution of essential farm inputs to farmers across the four Local Government Areas of Kwara Central Senatorial District.

As part of this intervention, 1,000 knapsack sprayers, 250 power tillers, 500 water pump machines, 2,500 bags of urea fertiliser, and 1,000 bags of NPK fertiliser were distributed to support farming activities during the current planting season.

The beneficiaries include members of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN), AMANA Farmers Association of Nigeria, Nigerian Women for Agricultural Progress, the Nigeria Association of Women in Agriculture (NAWIA), the Agricultural Section of the Kwara State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KWACCIMMA), individual farmers, and APC members actively engaged in farming across Kwara Central.

Agriculture remains the backbone of our economy and a key pathway to achieving food security, creating jobs, and improving livelihoods. This initiative is part of my continued efforts to empower our hardworking farmers and complements the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, particularly its focus on strengthening food security.

I sincerely appreciate our farmers for their resilience, hard work, and unwavering commitment to feeding our nation. I encourage every beneficiary to make the best use of these inputs to increase productivity, improve yields, and contribute meaningfully to our shared prosperity.

Together, we will continue to invest in agriculture, empower our people, and build a stronger, food-secure Kwara Central and Nigeria.

Three years ago, you entrusted me with the responsibility of representing you in the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Today, I reflect with profound gratitude on the journey we have shared and the progress we have achieved together.

From empowering our youths and women, supporting our farmers and small businesses, to expanding educational opportunities through full university scholarships for over 600 students, every milestone has been made possible by your trust, prayers, and unwavering support.

While we celebrate the gains recorded so far, I remain mindful that there is still much work to be done. I am committed to serving you with integrity, dedication, and an unrelenting focus on the continued development and prosperity of Kwara Central.

I congratulate Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki on his appointment as the new Chief Imam of Ilorin Emirate by His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR.

A scholar, teacher, and son of the House of Dasuki, Sheikh Bashir has served our community with dedication for years. I have no doubt he will uphold the legacy of his forefathers and lead the Ummah with wisdom and humility.

May Allah bless his reign, grant him good health, and make Ilorin Emirate stronger under his leadership. Ameen.

Khalifah Adabbiyah’s death a monumental loss to Ilorin Emirate, Muslim Ummah - Senator Mustapha

The Turaki of Ilorin Emirate and lawmaker representing Kwara Central, Senator Saliu Mustapha, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of the Khalifah Adabbiyah, Sheikh Abdulquadri Muhammad Kamaldeen.

In his condolence message, Senator Mustapha described his passing as a monumental loss to the Ilorin Emirate, the Muslim Ummah, and humanity at large.

The Turaki of Ilorin said the late Islamic scholar lived a life devoted to the propagation of Islam, peace, unity, and moral guidance.

He extended his heartfelt condolences to the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, CFR, the Adabiyah family worldwide, the extended family of Sheikh Muhammad Kamaldeen Al-Adaby, and the entire Ilorin Emirate community over the painful demise.

Senator Mustapha prayed that Almighty Allah forgives the shortcomings of the deceased, grants him Aljanah Firdaus, and gives the family and the Muslim community the strength to bear the irreparable loss.

As we celebrate Eid el Kabir, I urge all Nigerians to embrace peace, unity, sacrifice, and harmonious coexistence. At this critical moment in our nation’s history, we must rise above ethnic, political, and religious divisions and reject every tendency that threatens our collective strength and national unity.

Security is a shared responsibility. I encourage citizens to continue supporting our security agencies and the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the ongoing efforts to restore lasting peace and stability across the country.

Eid reminds us of the enduring virtues of sacrifice, compassion, tolerance, and generosity, values that are essential to national development and peaceful coexistence.
