Ilorin West LG Chairman Delivers Developmental Projects across Wards
▪︎ Receives Commendation from Local government and Chieftaincy Commissioner.
▪︎ Promises more development projects.
The Executive Chairman of Ilorin West Local Government, Mallam Shehu AbdulRahman Babatunde Ladan, has delivered a series of multimillion-naira projects aimed at improving critical infrastructure and enhancing the well-being of residents across the local government.
The commissioned projects include the full installation of new transformers, the construction of a new NSCDC office, a health facility, new motorized boreholes, and the construction of drainage systems across the wards in Ilorin West. This initiative is aimed at strengthening local welfare for the good people with the LGA.
At Aleniboro Estate, Warra area, Hon. Ladan installed high-capacity transformers to enhance the electricity supply for the community. Also, he commissioned the newly installed transformer at Shooto community in Ubandawaki Ward. The Chairman also extended his welfare to Ita-Kudimo community with a new transformer, to ease electricity challenges within the community.
Another new NSCDC office was also constructed at Eruda, Baboko area to promote the security strength within the region. The construction of the divisional office contained full furniture and other equipment.
Shortly at Odokun, Mr Chairman opened the public hospital facility where the essential health services equipment was also put in place. In addition, a long drainage was constructed at Gbagba of Warra Egbejila ward and Osin Community at Oke-erin. This serves as one of the easiest ways of curbing erosion and flooding in a society. He also extended his commitment to Ojuekun Zarumi ward, Agbo-Oba of Badari Ward, as well as Oko-Erin area, where he commissioned the new motorized boreholes.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Mallam Ladan appreciated His Excellency Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON for his outstanding support towards his administration. He emphasized that the projects reflect his administration’s commitment to delivering purposeful leadership and sustainable development across all wards of Ilorin West. He noted that the projects were carefully selected to address pressing needs in security, health, power supply, and road infrastructure.
“These projects are not just structures; they are solutions to long-standing challenges in our communities,” he said. “We are working to ensure that every ward in Ilorin West feels the impact of good governance.”
The event was graced by the Kwara State Governor, ably represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Abubakar Abdullahi Bata, who applauded Hon. Ladan for his outstanding performance and commitment to community development and appreciated Governor Abdulrazaq for his support towards the local government development.
“I am impressed by the quality and relevance of the projects being commissioned today. It shows clear vision, planning, and a sincere desire to improve lives. Ilorin West Chairman has demonstrated what local government leadership should be,” the Commissioner stated.
The Ministry of Local Governments delegates, LGA Vice Chairperson, Hon. Suliat Oyindamola, Council Secretary Hon. Saka Salman, other supervisory councilors, Ilorin West DPM, LGT, HODs, Legislative members led by Speaker, Rt. Hon Yusuf Aremu Ajia, Development Officer, Hon Abdullahi Fatai Ajia, political stakeholders, community leaders, youth groups, and residents who attended the ceremony expressed their appreciation to the Chairman for his proactive leadership and developmental strides.
