The Governor is one of the most accommodating humans I have ever seen.

No sitting Governor needs a Senator to prevent anyone from attending an event -- religious, cultural, or political. All he needs to do is to tell the relevant security agencies it cannot happen for reasons of public peace.

That anyone can even say such a thing shows how lowly they rate the intellect of the average person to understand how power politics works. Did Saraki need any Senator to prevent the late Lawal from free movement in Kwara? Did Ganduje need a Senator to "bar" the Almighty Kwankwaso from Kano? 😂 Saraki is lucky to have HEAA as the Governor. Kwara has a gentleman Governor. He once cautioned his security guards against any form of harassment of the citizens. It is a reason he doesn't use siren. He just wants to live his life and let others live -- as long as you don't disrespect him.

So, all these fake news should be binned! They are awawi. The Governor's mien, how he quietly goes about his life, and the recent experiences of Kwarans (under Saraki especially) and Nigerians under different Governors clearly absolves Governor AA of the strange claims, which are just another political agenda. Dead on arrival.

I am pleased to announce the freedom of 163 kidnap victims abducted during the unfortunate terrorist attack on Woro community in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State. The victims were rescued from the Kanji Lake National Park Forest following concerted efforts by our security forces.

I thank His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for the huge role he played in securing the freedom of our compatriots from captivity. About 145 persons abducted in Niger were also rescued in the same operation. We are grateful to Mr. President for his strong interest and support for the rescue operation.

I also commend the Office of the National Security Adviser; leadership and personnel of the Department of State Services; the Nigerian Army; and the Nigeria Police Force for their gallantry, resilience and strategic collaboration that culminated in the success we recorded in this rescue operation. We are very proud of our security forces and we will continue to support their efforts to protect the lives of our people.

The rescued citizens are currently receiving comprehensive medical care and support at a federal health facility. We will be glad to receive them in the state upon the completion of their medical procedures so that we can also offer necessary support to ease their reintegration process.

I urge residents of Kwara to continue to share useful security information with the authorities to forestall these criminal attacks and make our communities safer and more peaceful. I am grateful to President Bola Tinubu for committing more boots and military hardware on ground in our state with the establishment of new military formations. I am very hopeful that more successes lie ahead in our war against the terrorists. We will also continue to collaborate with our security to prevent the recurrence of this ugly trend.

STATE POLICE: HOW TINUBU IS RESTRUCTURING NIGERIA WITHOUT A NATIONAL CONFERENCE.

For decades, politicians argued that Nigeria needed another national conference before major restructuring could happen.

The Tinubu administration has instead pursued restructuring through constitutional amendments, fiscal reforms, energy reforms, and institutional changes.

1. State Police: The Biggest Devolution of Power Since 1999

For over 25 years, many governors, security experts, and constitutional lawyers called for state police.

Previous administrations discussed it but never pushed it this far because of fears that governors could abuse state-controlled police.

On June 24, 2026, the Senate passed the constitutional amendment bill establishing state police, with safeguards against political abuse.

The bill creates a dual policing system where states can establish their own police services while the federal police retain national security responsibilities.

This is arguably the most significant security restructuring since Nigeria returned to democracy in 1999.

2. Local Government Autonomy.

For decades, local governments were effectively controlled by state governors through the Joint Account system.

Under Tinubu, the Federal Government backed legal efforts that resulted in greater financial autonomy for local governments, allowing funds to flow more directly to councils instead of passing through state governments first.

This is a major shift of power away from governors and toward grassroots governance.

But I hope the people wake up and challenge the Governors still sabotaging it .

3. Tax System Overhaul.

No administration since 1999 attempted a comprehensive rewrite of Nigeria's tax system.

In 2025, Tinubu signed four major tax reform laws:

-Nigeria Tax Act
-Nigeria Tax Administration Act
-Nigeria Revenue Service Act
-Joint Revenue Board Act

The reforms simplify tax administration, reduce overlapping taxes, improve ease of doing business, and create a more
