The Executive Chairman of Ipokia Local Government, Hon. Johnson Akohomeh Avoseh, inspected the second phase of ongoing projects across Zone C, covering Ifonyintedo I, Ihunbo/Ilase, Ajegunle, and Idiroko Wards. The inspection exercise forms part of the administration’s commitment to ensuring quality project delivery and the timely completion of developments across the Local Government.
During the inspection at Community Primary School, Igboso Ori-Eke, the construction of two blocks of classrooms was assessed. Upon completion, the facility will be adequately equipped with 60 units of furniture to enhance the learning environment for pupils.
At Community Primary School, Shaasa (Ifonyintedo Ward), a block of two classrooms currently under construction was also inspected. The project is expected to be completed with 60 units of furniture to support effective teaching and learning.
In Ajegunle Ward, the ongoing construction of a Primary Health Care Centre at Ogosa was inspected. The project, which includes a solar-powered borehole, has progressed significantly and is currently at the roofing stage. This facility is expected to improve access to quality healthcare services for residents upon completion.
At Idiroko Ward, the renovation of a block of two classrooms was inspected. The upgraded facility will also be furnished with 60 units of furniture upon completion, further strengthening the educational infrastructure within the ward.
Additionally, several graded roads were inspected across the wards in Zone C. In Ifonyintedo Ward, Madoga, Ilagbe, and Iropo Roads were confirmed graded. In Idiroko Ward, roads including Mountain of Fire Road (Kanisuru), Current Hotel Road, Idologun Road, Odan Aje/Ayedun Road linking SS Road, Okoodan/Odanaje Ayedun linking Okodile, Bolintin Street, Etikoto, and Road Safety along DSS Road were inspected. Under Ihunbo/Ilase, Old Palace Road, Koko Road (Ilase), and Isepe to Ayetoro Road were also verified. In Ajegunle Ward, Asiwaju Oppresso Street, Adebowale Street (leading to Four Corner), and Cele Street were equally inspected.
Furthermore, the solar-powered borehole at Idologun-Owotedo in Ajegunle Ward, which had previously developed faults, has been fully repaired by the Local Government and is now functioning effectively to serve the community.
It is important to note that while work is ongoing in Zone C, there is no ward within Ipokia Local Government without at least two or more ongoing projects. The present administration remains committed to continuous monitoring, ensuring that all projects are completed and commissioned. There will be no abandoned projects.
The Chairman expresses profound appreciation to Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun, CON, for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to infrastructural development across the State. His administration’s developmental blueprint, anchored on the ISEYA initiative, continues to provide the enabling environment for sustainable growth in local government areas, including Ipokia. Through this shared vision of building the future together, communities are witnessing impactful projects that improve living standards and strengthen socio-economic development.
