Hello guys.

Disclaimer: This page is not run by the Palace neither is it directly connected with HRM Obi Nduka. My name is Victor Modo, I am from Ogbe-Utu quarters, Issele-Uku and I run this page.

It’s been a norm growing up to play the December football games between the quarters but for a 2nd year in a row it seems it will not be holding.

I am thinking we can still organize it as it fosters unity among the people and serves as a bonding session for Issele-Uku.

We can crowd fund to make this happen, I can start the donations myself and make it work.

Is it worth it? What do you think my people.

A calendar was made by Oligbo Royal Palace as part of activities for the 1 year coronation anniversary of Obi Nduka. I believe we should try to get one. Not cos we hang calendars, but it has a bit of the history of Isseleuku past rulers and a detailed break down of our major festival, Ine.

Merry Christmas to the good people of Issele-uku.

So first let me correct an impression. This page was not created by the Palace, my name is Modo Victor, I created it as part of events when I was charged with documenting the coronation activity a year ago.

Hence, enquiries to HRM Obi Nduka, should be directed to the palace but the ones I can answer, I bet you I will.

Now to why I am making this post. Some of you were lucky to grow up close to home, some of us weren't, but it will be a good thing if we know ourselves cos we play an important role in the future of Issele-uku.

So this is my proposal, can we have an under 40 meeting or football match between our peers at home and those coming in for Christmas(I went with football cos it might be the easiest to organize).

It is basically an avenue for victor to meet Ifeoma or Pius, relate, exchange numbers and who knows, we might just be able to form a stronger bond heading into the next 40 years.

I will personally donate some cartons of malt for refreshment if we can pull this unifying match off.

Delta State Government To Present State Of Office To Obi Issele-Uku December 29



Arrangements have been concluded for the formal presentation of Staff of Office by the Delta State Government to His Royal Majesty, Obi (Engr.) Nduka Ezeagwuna, Obi of Issele-Uku Kingdom in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State.

According to a statement signed by the Chairman of the Coronation Committee, Prince Victor Egbune and the Secretary, Mr. Emmanuel Ojei, the presentation ceremony will be performed by the Delta State Governor, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, on Thursday December 29th, 2016 at the Oligbo Royal Palace, beginning from 11am in the morning.

The statement called on all Sons and Daughters of Issele-Uku, as well as friends and associates of the town, to come out in their numbers to grace the occasion, which is expected to have the State Deputy Governor, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro, the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Monday Igbuya and the Senator representing the Delta North Senatorial District in the Senate, Senator Barr. Peter Nwaoboshi in attendance.

Others being expected to grace the royal event include members of the Delta State House of Assembly including the Member representing Aniocha North Constituency in the House, Hon. (Engr.) Emeka Nwaobi, members of the State Executive Council as well as Chairmen of Local Governments in the State including the Executive Chairman of Aniocha North Local Government, Hon. Chuks Oseme.

The Statement further stated that the Oba of Benin Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewuare 11 will be present at the occasion, where he will be performing a very major traditional role.

Other dignitaries expected to grace the occasion include, members of Aniocha North Traditional Rulers Committee led by the Chairman, HRM. Obi Emmanuel Mohanyem I, Obi of Ezi, recognized Traditional Rulers from Delta State, top Statesmen and Government functionaries, as well as Captains of industry and the academia from across Nigeria and in Diaspora, amongst others.
