Meet Jubril Akintayo Onseyoo, popularly known as Àkọ́bí Dẹmọ, a technocrat, agriculturist, and community driven leader who has declared his intention to represent Iwo State Constituency at the Osun State House of Assembly under the Accord Party.

Born into the respected family of Alhaji Bilal Akintayo Onseyoo, Jubril’s story is firmly rooted in Iwoland. His educational journey from local beginnings in Iwo to earning a B.Tech at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology and an MBA from University of Abuja reflects both his discipline and determination.

His leadership journey began early through the Federation of Iwoland Students Union (FILSU), where he served as Acting President, demonstrating a commitment to youth engagement and representation.

Professionally, Jubril currently serves as a Senior Agricultural Officer with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, where he contributes to national development through digital agriculture, data analytics, and policy implementation. His collaborations with global institutions such as Japan International Cooperation Agency, German Agency for International Cooperation, and the World Bank further highlight his exposure and competence.

Beyond public service, he leads Vina-Reed Consult, an ICT solutions firm, and holds professional certifications as a Project Manager and Microsoft Data Analyst is positioning him as a forward-thinking candidate in an era where governance increasingly intersects with technology.

His legislative experience as a former Senior Legislative Aide to the Speaker of the House of Representatives provides him with practical insight into lawmaking and constituency service is an advantage that cannot be overlooked.

However, beyond credentials, the true test lies in vision, accountability, and the ability to deliver tangible results for the people of Iwo.

The question now is:
Is this the kind of leadership Iwo needs at this time?

What are your thoughts?

2027: APC Chieftain Hon. Falade Pays Royal Visit to Oluwo, Declares Senate Ambition

The political temperature ahead of the 2027 general elections continues to rise as a familiar face in Osun politics, Hon. Bade Falade, stormed the palace of the Paramount Ruler of Iwoland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, to formally declare his intention to contest the Osun West Senatorial District seat under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Falade, who served as a federal lawmaker representing the Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore and Ejigbo Federal Constituency, is no stranger to Iwoland.

The politician has called Iwo home since 1991, and it is from this ancient city that he launched and won his most significant political battles.

His business interests in the city further cement his bond with Iwoland. At the palace, the Oluwo granted him his royal blessings while charging him to make quality representation his priority if the opportunity to serve eventually comes.

With 2027 still some distance away, the battle for Osun West Senate is already shaping up to be one to watch. 👀
