LEADERSHIP TRAINING UPDATE

The 2nd Batch of Taraba Indigenes has begun leadership training at the Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership and Peacekeeping Centre, Jaji, Kaduna State.

To build leadership skills, discipline, and capacity for service to Taraba State.

We are proud that the Hon. Commissioner, Ministry of Social Justice, Dr. Filister Irarimam Musa, is also part of this training program. This shows the Governor’s commitment to leading by example.

We appreciate His Excellency Dr. Agbu Kefas for investing in our people.

MINISTRY OF SOCIAL JUSTICE, TARABA STATE CELEBRATES TARABA @ 35

Under the able leadership of the Honourable Commissioner, Dr. Filister Irarimam Musa (JP), the Ministry of Social Justice, Taraba State joins in celebrating 35 years of Taraba State.

The Ministry appreciates His Excellency, Dr. Agbu Kefas, Executive Governor of Taraba State, for his remarkable efforts in infrastructure development, provision of schools, road construction, and other people oriented projects across the state.

The Ministry also prays for all stakeholders and for continued prosperity in Taraba State under the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Dr. Agbu Kefas. We are confident that the state will continue to excel and move forward.

Today, as we gather in our churches and homes, let us remember that God is the God of justice, mercy, and love.
He sees every tear, He hears every prayer, and He knows every burden.

I pray that God will give us the heart to care for one another.
To stand for the oppressed.
To speak for the voiceless.
To lift those who have fallen.
That is the true meaning of Social Justice.

Let us also continue to pray for our leader, H.E. Dr. Agbu Kefas
May God grant him wisdom, strength, and good health to pilot the affairs of our dear state under the Moving Forward Agenda.

Taraba is blessed because we are one. Christians, Muslims, and all tribes we are family.

PRESS RELEASE

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Taraba State Chapter, will hold a three-day Ministers of the Gospel Conference from 18th to 20th August, 2026 at the CAN Secretariat, FGGC Road, Jalingo, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily.

The conference, themed "The Roles of the Church and the State in Advancing God's Purpose in a Changing World," will feature His Excellency, Dr. Agbu Kefas, Governor of Taraba State, as Special Guest of Honour, alongside renowned speakers including Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, Donald Duke, Rev. Dr. Caleb Ahima, Archbishop Benjamin Kwashi, and Archbishop Ignatius Kaigama.

The event is expected to attract about 850 participants from across Taraba State for fellowship, reflection, dialogue, and capacity building.

The grand finale on 21st August, 2026 will feature the launch of a ₦10 billion fundraising campaign for the construction of an Ultra-Modern Christian Centre in Jalingo.

DISABILITY COMMISSION PLEDGES 500,000 VOTES FOR GOV. KEFAS AND PRESIDENT TINUBU IN 2027

Yesterday, 17th August, 2026, I was honored to receive in my office, the leadership of the Taraba State Disability Commission.

The Commission came with great news of a very strong and organized grassroots movement in support of His Excellency, Dr. Agbu Kefas The Capacity Governor and His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 General Elections.

In a show of confidence, the Commission pledged over 500,000 votes from the disability community across Taraba State.

In recognition of my commitment to inclusion and social justice, I was also christened and inaugurated as the MATRON of this great movement. I charged them to keep the flag flying and to remain steadfast in mobilizing support at the grassroots.

FILISTER IRARIMAM MUSA HAILS JDPC, BEAUTIFUL GATE CENTRE OVER 100 WHEELCHAIR DISTRIBUTION

The Honourable Commissioner for Social Justice and Reintegration, Hon. Dr. Filister Irarimam Musa, JP, has commended the Justice, Development and Peace Commission (JDPC), Jalingo and the Beautiful Gate Handicapped People Centre, Jos for their donation and distribution of 100 wheelchairs to Persons with Disabilities in Taraba State.

The Commissioner gave the commendation on Wednesday during the distribution exercise held at the Saint Charles Borromeo Pastoral Centre, Mile Six Bypass, Jalingo.

Describing the intervention as a significant humanitarian gesture, Hon. Dr. Musa noted that government alone cannot address all the challenges confronting Persons with Disabilities. She stressed the need for stronger collaboration between government, faith-based organisations, civil society groups, and development partners to ensure that PWDs receive the necessary support and equal opportunities to participate fully in society.

The Commissioner further appreciated JDPC and Beautiful Gate Centre for responding to the mobility needs of vulnerable persons, describing the gesture as a practical step towards promoting social inclusion, dignity, and improved quality of life.

She reaffirmed the commitment of the Taraba State Government under His Excellency, Dr. Agbu Kefas to continue supporting initiatives that promote the welfare, dignity, and inclusion of Persons with Disabilities across the state.
