*INSECURITY : PDP A* *DISAPPOINTMENT* *ON THE PLATEAU.*

It is no longer news, that the PDP led government has failed woefully, in protecting lives and property of the very people that voted it into office.

Not only that, peace, commerce and particularly agricultural activities in the agrarian areas, are now best imagined than real.

Although the security challenges predate the present administration, the situation deteriorated rapidly and almost became uncontrollable, under the now PDP government.

Painfully, almost on a monthly basis, mass graves are dug; new IDP camps established; people maimed and children stopped from going to School, as a result of the rampaging activities of terrorists in the State.

It is therefore not surprising that the Transparency International came out with a damning report a fortnight ago, that over 1330 persons were murdered by terrorists between December 2023 and February 2024.

According to the TI , the victims who were mostly from Mangu, Bokkos, Barakinladi local government areas, and of late Wase, have 13,093 children and 16,461 women presently in the IDP camps

Sadly, the number of losses in three months under the present administration, is more than what happened during the eight years, of the Lalong government.

That is not all, a group, which calls itself a coalition of ethnic nationalities, stated that bandits are presently occupying 151 hamlets, villages and communities in Plateau State.

At a press conference in Jos a few days ago, the group expressed disappointment with the level of what it described as the level of government response to the plight of the victims of illegal occupation and land grabbing.

Ironically, the PDP during the electioneering campaigns, promised to defend and secure the State,by using different approaches, such as the Operation Rainbow framework, community vigilantism and empowering local communities, deploying cutting edge technology, and combatting marauders. See calebmutfwang.org

However, the PDP after taking over the mantle of leadership, probably for lack of will power, failed to actualise it's promise, except the employment of 600 in the State's security outfit, as claimed by governor Mutfwang in his State wide Radio and Television broadcast to celebrate his one year in office.

Without politicising the issue, from all indications, the government had not been forthcoming, decisive, as well as methodological in handling the security lapses and breaches in the State.

The PDP needs to re-strategize and overhaul the security architecture with a view to giving the people a sense of protection and peace in the State.

MEETING YOU AT YOUR POINT OF NEED

He called my name loud in his baritone voice and said congratulations, you made us proud. I recall that scene like yesterday. It was in August of 1986 when my uncle brought my JAMB admission letter to the house.

Getting admission into the university was one of my greatest moments and dreams growing up as a son of a rural clergy who had lived without the basic comfort associated with urban life. This was the beginning of birthing the hope and belief in a colorful future of my dream life.

The next question was, can my father fund my university education? After over an hour, my father walked in wearing his usual ever-smiling face and asked why I was wearing a depressed face. He held me tight to himself and looking into my teary eyes, just whispered to me, "We will talk in the night".

The long-awaited night came and he woke me up from sleep. These were his pieces of advice to me:

“Always know that your father may look poor, not having money in the bank, and cannot compete with most parents but the God I serve always meets my needs and not my wants. That is one of the benefits of trusting Christ whom I have served for all these years”.

He said emphatically, “Son, Jesus is the best example for you to learn from”. I listened with rapt attention as his words filled the air and resonated deeply in my young wandering mind.

He narrated, “When Jesus’ mother was due, she had no place to give birth to him, but when the time was ripe a manger was made available.

When he was to feed the five thousand, he had no loaf of bread and fish, but when the people were hungry, five loaves of bread and two fishes were available for him to feed five thousand with leftovers.

When he was walking on the street before they met the tax collectors, he had no money, when they asked for tax, the fish that held the money was available.

When he was to cross the river Jordan, he had no boat, but when it was time for him to cross the river, a boat was made available.

When he was to cross the sea without a boat, nobody was in sight to give him one, and at the right time, he walked on the water without a life jacket.

When he was preparing for the last supper, he had no upper room, but when the time to feed the disciple for the last time was up, the upper room was made available.

When he was preparing to walk through Jerusalem, he had no donkey, when he was ready to march, somebody provided one that nobody had ever climbed.

When he was on his way to Calvary with the cross, he ran out of strength, immediately Simon of Cyrene was available to help him carry the cross.

When he died he had no grave, when he was to be buried, Joseph of Arimathea his secret disciple offered his grave to be used”.

My father now asked me, "Was Jesus having everything he needed to be stocked and stored"? I said, “NO”. “But surely, he lacked nothing he needed”, my father added.

My father had never looked so certain to me as he did that night. He continued, “You may look as if you are walking out of this house with nothing, but with Christ, you have everything at the point of need”. And true to his words, I lacked nothing that I needed. That is the Genesis of my long walk to this present destination.

I am sure there are many reading this text that may not have the assurance of what life holds for them and may be in doubt of their tomorrow, but prophet Jeremiah writing in Chapter 29:11 said,
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a future and a hope”.

Be rest assured that God has an excellent plan that will neither harm you nor your future. He can do any miracle possible to keep his promises to you and me.

All miracles require a prepared human vessel.

2 Timothy 1:21 "If a man therefore purges himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work."

Prepare yourself spiritually, educationally, emotionally, and socially because the miracles of your life are waiting for your preparation.

Also, know that with Christ, you have everything “AT THE POINT OF NEED”. We are not the determinants of when the point of need is ripe but God.

Good morning and happy Sunday my neighbours

*THERE ARE WOMEN AND THERE ARE WOMEN.*

This afternoon, law abiding citizens and visitors alike, withinJos and environs were obstructed in carrying out their daily activities by a group of discredited women.

The women, mushrooming the streets and clad in dark dresses, reflective of their poisoned minds, were reportedly protesting against the Judiciary.

From all intent and purposes, the women under the guise of PDP and led by a disgraced public officer, were out to intimidate and blackmail the Court of Appeal and by extension, the Supreme Court into submission.

Unfortunately for them, barely twenty four hours ago, President Tinubu and indeed the Chief Justice of the federation, Justice Ayoola for the umpteenth time during the judges conference unequivocally stated that, sentiments and emotions cannot influence the cause of justice.

As reported, these innocent and ignorant women, mostly imported from Southern Kaduna, looked haggard, confused and hungry, judging from their appearances and comportment.

The organisers of this disgraceful outing, from all indications do not give a damn about the calibre of the demonstrators as long as they justify the money collected for that purpose.

What is most disturbing, is how millions of naira that belongs to people of Plateau State which is supposed to be used in paying civil servants , pensions and other services, is lavishly expended on useless and futile exercises.

*JUSTICE TUKUR: THE VICTOR OR VILLAIN.*

Justice Mohammad Tukur was the Chairman of the National and State Assembly Elections Petitions Tribunal One,that sad in Jos .

His lordship, and his learned brothers Justices Elekwa and Adetujoye, heard and determined some election petitions from Plateau State alongside the other, headed by Justice William.

Tribunal one members, particularly their chairman, in the course of their assignment came under a heavy attack, by way of sponsored intimidation, harassment and character assassination, for daring to serve justice to whoever that was entitled.

The attack on the person of justice Tukur was so villainous and despicable to the extent that his lordship was said to be in Jos to carryout a hatchet job for the Hausa/Fulani caliphate.

As a matter of fact, at a point in time, due to the seriousness of the threats to their lives, the tribunal had to conduct the last lap of the trial via Zoom.

The 'sins' of JusticeTukur and his colleagues were that, they fairly and fearlessly interpreted as well as applied the laws in the face of available facts and evidence brought before them accordingly.

In all the Cases that the almighty PDP and it's candidates appeared, they were respondents or petitioners and the tribunal either nullified the elections or dismissed their petitions, basically on the ground that, the party lacked the structure and legal status to have taken part in the general elections.

Three political parties, namely the PRP, LP and APC got favourable judgements from the tribunal, except in the case of APC which the PDP felt, should be denied justice at all cost, no matter the merit of its petitions.

Little wonder, the PDP and it's co-traveller, INEC quickly dashed to the Court of Appeal, where after being tongue lashed, got more than what they bargained for.

The Appeal panel, comprising justices Abang, William and Muktar, said the PDP ought not to have gone into the general elections in the first place, and that those that contested on the platform of the party, were merely independent candidates who were alien to the Constitution and the Electoral Act, 2022.

In addition to the seeming disgrace, yesterday's judgements of the Court of Appeal put to rest, the much talked about PDP's participation in the ordered rerun, as it seen as a hoax after all , and also the party's figment of imagination.

No doubt, Justice Tukur and his colleagues suffered serious humiliation and harassment from a hostile host, who sponsored all forms of evil machination against an incorruptible jury that wanted to uphold justice and fair play in the polity.

What remains to be heard or seen, is whether it was the Caliphate that forced the Court of Appeal justices to deliver those landmark judgements even though at a point, some political hirelings masquerading as civil society organisations had villifed the president of the Court His lordship Justice Monica Mensen-Dongban for falsely interfering with the outcomes.

Take it or leave ,Justices Tukur, Elekwa and Adetujoye are now on the good side of the law and posterity.

The question on the lips of many, is where does Justice William of Panel two and his judgements go from here in the face of what has befallen the PDP ?

*PDP SUPPORTERS DESERT GOVERNMENT HOUSE.*

Palpable tension has reportedly engulfed PDP supporters, as the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja, is set to deliver some judgements emanating from the Plateau State National Assembly Elections petition tribunals.

Reports revealed that supporters of the PDP who are already tensed and demoralised, seem to be filled with anger against their so-called leader.

Most of them including the top echelon of the party, have started the blame game targeted at their 'ultimate leader' and team of lawyers.

It is also gathered from competent Sources, that the government House Rayfield is now lifeless since people have started deserting the place.

The sources further revealed that, top government functionaries particularly permanent secretaries and Directors have been avoiding the government House and also putting off their Handsets in order not to be involved with what they termed the outgoing government.

According to the sources, the senior civil servants have been advising their colleagues against involving themselves in last minute financial transactions.

Meanwhile supporters of APC are looking calm and cool as usual, anxiously waiting for the judgements of the Court of Appeal.

PRESS STATEMENT

*PDP CRYING WOLF, CHASING SHADOWS OVER PLATEAU STATE APPEAL COURT JUDGEMENTS*

Understandably rattled and miffed by the sound judgement of the Plateau State Election Appeal Court Panel, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has launched a campaign of calumny to discredit the three-man panel of Honourable Justices of the Appeal Court.

At a press conference on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, the PDP, aside baselessly insinuating that the panel was "hugely compromised and induced" by our great Party, called for the disbandment of the Appeal Panel; setting up of a new one, and a review of the judgements rendered.

The PDP is a sore loser and manifestly hypocritical. It has consistently queried every court judgement against it while profusely celebrating cases that it has won even in very opaque circumstances. Such glaring and debased double standards only further confirms our view of the PDP as an irredeemably depraved institution and antithetical to the progress of our democracy.

Even as ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) was barred by courts from fielding candidates in Zamfara and Rivers States in the 2019 general elections. Yet, we never took the liberty to shame our judges and attack our democratic institutions as the PDP is doing. The PDP, arguably, a greater beneficiary of the independence and vibrancy of the judiciary, must learn to accept defeat with equanimity.

We urge the judiciary not to bow to intimidation and blackmail of the PDP, and to continue to uphold the principles of law and justice at all times in line with its constitutional duty and authority.

There is an ancient and popular story about a man who was determined to assist a snake.

The man saw the snake trapped in a burning pile of wood. Out of compassion the man reached down and pulled the snake out of the heat and flame. Immediately the snake turned its head and bit him. The pain was excruciating, the snake falling back into flame.

The man picked up a stick and once again tried to help the snake. The snake was tossed to safety, sliding under the nearby stones.

A passerby witnessed the whole experience, asking... Why did you help the snake after it bit you?

The man answered, " It is the nature of the snake to bite, that's not going to change my nature which is to help, we both did what we were born to do"

MORAL LESSONS
1. In life, many people you have helped may harm you. Do not change your nature simply because someone harms you.

2. We may have many reasons not to help others because of our previous experiences. But don't change your nature. Never become or behave like a snake because you were once bitten by a snake.

3. Do not lose your good heart, only take precautions.

4. You don't go on revenge just because you are hurt.

The supreme question is, what is your nature?
To help or to harm!

Good morning my neighbours on Facebook.

26/10/2023

*PRESS RELEASE 26/10/23*

*THE FALL OF A POLITICAL PARTY: A CASE STUDY OF PDP ON THE PLATEAU.*

It is unsurprising yet surprising at the same time, for PDP members to go haywire following last Sunday's judgement by the Court of Appeal on the National Assembly Elections in some constituencies in Plateau State.

The outcome of the Appeals to most discerning minds and of course reasonable politicians in the State and beyond, is unsurprising, since the Court had earlier made a pronouncement against the PDP sometime in October last year as a result of disrespect to Court orders.

Although it is typical and habitual of PDP members, particularly the imposed leadership to always cry wolf where there is none whenever the tide goes against them, the issues that brought down the party to its knees were as destructive as it's diminutive tin god.

It is a common knowledge and a notorious fact that the party's myriad problems are self- afflicted caused by power play and egocentrism.

Right from the time General Usaini became the party's flag bearer and it's leader in the 2015 and 2019 governorship elections, some people became uncomfortable to the extent that a clique led by a self centred and a tribal jingoist emerged and subtly sabotaged his efforts to win the contest because of unnecessary fear and selfishness.

Since then, this tiny group would not let General Usaini be, by way of covert and overt conspiracy theories that brought about the factionalisation of the party.

The leader of this egocentric group with the backing of the party's National Secretariat and the former governor if an oil rich state, hijacked the party machinery and imposed his lackeys and stooges as party executives without the inputs leaders and well grounded politicians in likes of Ambassador Fidelis Tapgun, Chief Damishi Sango and a host of others.

Undoubtedly, this made the General Usaini faction to go to Court to challenge the propriety or otherwise of the Constituted party machinery, which at the end of it, got judgement in its favour.

In spite of the series of judgements against it, the illegal Chris Hassan Exco remained recalcitrant and at the behest of its emperor, went ahead to short list its candidates for elective offices, all in the name of primary elections.

Consequently, this became it's conundrum and later made the General Usaini faction and of course other political opponents to exploit the shortcomings in making a case against a disobedient party that has no respect for the rule of law.

Therefore, for PSP to blame anybody for its woes and predicament, is to say the least irresponsible and primitive since its biggest enemy is the 'emperor' who believes that he reserves the right to choose who gets what and when in the party.

As a matter of fact the party members should direct their anger and frustration at the 'emperor'rather than shifting blames inappropriately.

The transfer of aggression and anger directed at the Tukurs, Dongbans and Pwajoks is not only fallacious but wicked.

The PDP's illegal Exco should be made to understand that it's members masquerading as Civil Society Organisations cannot achieve anything by the histrionics that is poorly scripted. It is too late.

More importantly, the emperor owes the entire People of Plateau state an apology, irrespective of political affiliation for the collateral damage suffered in loosing the strategic office of the minority leader seat of the Senate, which invariably came as a result of the lack of "structure" saga.

Be that as it may,it seems the worst is yet to come, because from all indications the General Usaini faction may begin to insist that the orders of the various Courts be respected by the party.

I can bet for sure, that the move, if carried out, would certainly restart another bout of the Atiku -Wike fight to take over the remains of the party in the state.

For some us ,we would be at ringside in the event the fight kick starts any time soon.
