SPEAKER, PLATEAU STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY RECEIVES CHAIRMAN, GOVERNORS’ FORUM AND HIS ENTOURAGE AT YAKUBU GOWON AIRPORT, JOS.
Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Naanlong Daniel, has on Friday received the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and Governor of Kwara State, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, alongside the Governors of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, and other dignitaries at the Yakubu Gowon Airport, Jos.
The Governors, in company of members of the National Assembly, were in Jos to commiserate with the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe, over the passing of his beloved mother, Mama Lydia Yilwatda Goshwe.
Immediately on arrival, the Speaker led the delegation to the residence of Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, where they were warmly received by the APC National Chairman in company of two former Governors of Plateau State Senator Simon Bako Lalong and Senator Joshua Chibi Dariye alongside members of the APC State Working Committee.
Rt. Hon. Naanlong Daniel, who was accompanied by principal officers and members of the Plateau State House of Assembly, also conveyed heartfelt condolences on behalf of the entire Assembly its principal officers, members, management, and staff.
In his remarks, Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, together with the Chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum and Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, said they were in Jos to identify with Professor Yilwatda at his moment of grief.
They described Mama Lydia as a devoted mother who lived a fulfilled life, having nurtured her children and witnessed them attain enviable heights, particularly the emergence of her son as National Chairman of the APC and prayed God to grant the bereaved family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
