REPORT ON THE CONDOLENCE VISIT AND BURIAL OF VICTIMS OF THE BANDITRY ATTACK IN ANGWAN MAGAJI COMMUNITY, KAMARU WARD, KAURU LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA, KADUNA STATE

Date of Visit: 27 June 2026

Introduction

Following the tragic banditry attack on Angwan Magaji Community, Kamaru Ward, Kauru Local Government Area, which claimed the lives of nine persons and left eleven others injured, Hon. Usman Bawa ABG, PDP Governorship Candidate for Kaduna State, mandated a delegation to represent him during the burial of the deceased and to sympathize with the affected families.

The delegation was led by Engr. Idris Yahuza Kauru, PDP House of Representatives Candidate for Kauru Federal Constituency, who represented Hon. Usman Bawa ABG throughout the visit.

Burial and Condolence Visit

The delegation attended the burial of the victims on behalf of Hon. Usman Bawa ABG and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and the entire Angwan Magaji Community. Special prayers were offered for the peaceful repose of the souls of those who lost their lives, while words of comfort and encouragement were extended to their families.

Visit to the Injured Victims

After the burial, the delegation proceeded to Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital, Kaduna, where they visited the injured victims receiving treatment. They conveyed the sympathy of Hon. Usman Bawa ABG, prayed for their speedy recovery, and encouraged them to remain hopeful.

Support Provided

On behalf of Hon. Usman Bawa ABG, Engr. Idris Yahuza Kauru presented financial support to:

- The families of the deceased to assist with the burial and other immediate needs.
- The injured victims receiving treatment at Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital to support their medical expenses and recovery.

The beneficiaries expressed profound appreciation to Hon. Usman Bawa ABG for standing with them during their moment of grief and hardship.

Conclusion

The visit reflected the compassion, solidarity, and commitment of Hon. Usman Bawa ABG to the people of Kauru Federal Constituency. Through his representative, Engr. _Kaduna, Nigeria – June 27, 2026_ The Kaduna State Gubernatorial Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Hon. Shehu Usman Bawa, ABG, hosted all the party’s 2027 candidates to a congratulatory reception following the issuance of their Certificates of Return.

The meeting, held in Kaduna, brought together the PDP’s Senatorial, House of Representatives, and State Assembly candidates who emerged successful at the recently concluded primaries.

Addressing the candidates, *Hon. Bawa, ABG* congratulated them on their victory at the primaries and commended the party leadership and members for a peaceful and transparent process. He described their emergence as a reflection of the confidence the party has in their capacity to represent the people.

“Our strength lies in our unity. As we receive these certificates, we are also receiving a mandate to serve, to connect with the people, and to present a united front ahead of 2027,” he said.

Hon. Bawa urged all candidates to begin immediate grassroots mobilization, run issue-based campaigns focused on security, education, healthcare, and economic empowerment, and to work closely with the party structure across all 23 Local Government Areas.

Standing Against Jungle Justice: Hon. Shehu ABG The Kaduna State Governorship Aspirant Visit Bereaved Family of Malama Ummuklhair At Maraban Jos Kaduna

Today, being Friday, Hon. Shehu ABG, alongside his House of Assembly aspirants and members of his close team, paid a condolence visit to the family of Malama Ummulkhair, who tragically fell victim to the callous act of jungle justice in Maraban Jos, Igabi Local Government Area, following a gross misrepresentation of facts without any proper investigation.

We condemn this horrific act in the strongest possible terms. No individual should be deprived of life based on rumours, assumptions, or misinformation. Justice must never be replaced by mob action.

We therefore call on the government, law enforcement agencies, lawmakers, and all security institutions to take decisive measures to end the growing menace of jungle justice in our communities. Our society must be governed by the rule of law, where every accused person is afforded due process and every citizen’s life is protected.

We also assure the family of the deceased that we will pursue justice through every lawful means available until those responsible are held accountable. May Allah (SWT) forgive Malama Ummulkhair, grant her Al-Jannatul Firdaus, comfort her family, and protect our communities from such tragedies. Ameen.

Shehu ABG Pays Courtesy Visit to NSCDC Kaduna State Command

The Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State, Rt. Hon. Shehu Usman Bawa (ABG), on Saturday paid a courtesy visit to the Kaduna State Sector Commander of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) at the Corps' State Command Headquarters in Kaduna.

The visit was aimed at strengthening cooperation and promoting cordial relations between political stakeholders and security agencies ahead of the forthcoming elections in the state.

During the meeting, Hon. Shehu ABG commended the NSCDC for its commitment to safeguarding lives, protecting critical national assets and infrastructure, and maintaining peace and public order across Kaduna State. He reaffirmed his support for the efforts of security agencies in ensuring a peaceful, free, fair, and credible electoral process.

In his remarks, the Kaduna State Sector Commander, Mr Panam Musa appreciated Hon. Shehu ABG for the visit and assured him of the Corps' unwavering commitment to professionalism, neutrality, and the protection of all citizens without bias. He emphasized that the NSCDC would continue to work with other security agencies to ensure the safety of lives and property before, during, and after the elections.

Yesterday in Abuja, Hon. Usman Bawa ABG formally received his Certificate of Return as the duly elected governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for Kaduna State. The presentation, conducted by the Party’s National Working Committee, ratifies the mandate freely given to him by PDP delegates and confirms him as the standard-bearer who will fly the Party’s flag in the 2027 governorship election.

This moment is more than ceremonial. A Certificate of Return is the Party’s endorsement of competence, capacity, and commitment. For Kaduna, it represents the emergence of a leader whose political journey has been defined by grassroots engagement, legislative experience, and an unwavering belief in inclusive development. Hon. Bawa ABG does not enter this race as a stranger to the people’s struggles; he enters it as a product of those struggles.

Kaduna State stands at a crossroads. The conversations in every market, classroom, and farmstead are the same: insecurity that has displaced communities, a weakening economy that has eroded household incomes, and a youth population yearning for opportunity rather than rhetoric. These are not abstract problems. They are the daily reality of families across the 23 local governments.

What Kaduna requires now is leadership that understands the urgency of this moment. Leadership that will prioritize security without profiling, rebuild trust between government and governed, invest in agriculture and small businesses, and place education and healthcare at the center of public policy.
