AREWA YOUTH ASSEMBLY CONGRATULATES GOVERNOR UZODIMMA ON HIS APPOINTMENT AS RENEWED HOPE AMBASSADOR.

In a season when Nigeria stands at a decisive junction, and the nation seeks voices that embody confidence, clarity, and courage, the appointment of Governor Hope Uzodimma as the Renewed Hope Ambassador has electrified the national conversation.

His Excellency’s new responsibility as Director General for Party Outreach, Engagement and Mobilisation is not merely a political elevation; it is a recognition of unmatched competence and the reaffirmation of a leadership style that has become a reference point within the progressive fold. At a time when Nigerians demand authenticity and purposeful governance, Governor Uzodimma emerges as a figure who has not only earned respect through results but has become indispensable to the country’s political architecture.

The Arewa Youth Assembly warmly congratulates Governor Uzodimma on this well-deserved national assignment. His appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a defining moment for the All Progressives Congress and a powerful endorsement of the governor’s exceptional contributions to party stability, national cohesion, and policy clarity. Within the progressive family, he is widely acknowledged as the best-performing progressive governor, a leader whose impact continues to shape the fortunes of the APC across states and geopolitical zones.

Governor Uzodimma’s role as Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum has been pivotal in strengthening internal unity and reinforcing the party’s ideological foundation. Insecurity: A Call on President Muhammadu Buhari to Sack General Babagana Monguno (Rtd) and Stop the avoidable bleeding of blood of Nigerians and End other Vices"

Following the sharp increase in the cases of unprovoked killings and kidnap of Nigerians in their farms, houses, train and our major highways which has led to unprecedented increase in poverty rate, in not just the Northern part of Nigeria, but the country as a whole.

Consequently, it is recorded that 1743 Nigerians have been killed in the first quarter of 2022 alone. This figure is almost higher than casualties recorded in Ukraine that is officially at war with Russia.

We are aware that the government under the Leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari has procured more weapons than any other government in our recent history in response to the security challenges bedeviling our country.

This forced Nigerians to raise their voices in unison, calling for the sack of the then service Chiefs, which Mr President graciously granted. Nigerians expected to see major changes, but we moved from bad to worse.

We were therefore compelled to convened a meeting of leaders of various groups to access the state of the security of our region and marshall a way out. The meeting therefore concluded that the National Security Adviser who ought to come up with initiatives to solve our Security challenges and coordinate heads of security agencies to tackle the problem, seems to have run out of ideas.

Surprisingly, he has been occupying that office for the past 7 years, with no positive result to show forth.

We are therefore calling on the leaders of the 150 groups who have signed the protest charter to mobilize their members for continuous protest across the 419 Local Government Areas and Councils in the 19 Northern States and the FCT to register our displeasure over the state of affairs commencing from tomorrow, 17th August 2022, until further notice. The National Leaders of the Protest will converge at the National Security Adviser until he either resign or he is sacked.

The leadership of the Arewa Youth Assembly wish to admonished our members to be law abiding and peaceful in their conduct throughout out the process.

Protest until Peace reigns like still waters.
