Well and Open Water Incidences.
KANO STATE FIRE SERVICE
On Wednesday, 21st May, 2025, State Fire Service under the leadership of the Director Alh. Sani Anas, the control room of the agency received a call for emergency assistance at about 09:36 am from Garba Sani reporting the incident of a collision between three persons in a ditch along the ring road opposite Dorayi Babba.
Our rescue team from the service headquarters rushed to the scene of the incident. On arrival, they found two men, Saifullahi Muhd, aged about 27, and Halifa Abdullahi, aged about 29, both residents of Gwammaja Quartets, while they are following a man, aged about 30, from Kofar Ruwa market to the place where the incidence happened with the intention of collecting their dues from him.
After he confirming that they could arrest him, he fell into a puddle, which caused them to follow him inside the puddle and both of them were unable to come out. Our men on duty pulled them out unconscious and they were then rushed to Murtala Muhd Specialist Hospital for medical attention, and later doctors confirmed their death.
All victims handed over to Inspector Halifa Muhd of Kuntau police division.
Another emergency call was received at about 06:01 am from one of our staff, SFS Usman Aminu, reporting that, two well-drainers were trapped in a well at Danmaliki Village by Chalawa Filling Station. Our rescue team from the headquarter went to the area and found two well-drainers who had entered a well and trapping due to the lack of oxygen and Heat which caused them could not come out. In this regard by God intervention and our men, we successfully brought them out conscious and later were confirmed to be in good health.
Victims handed over to the Ward head, Ali Alkasim of Danmaliki town.
