PROTOCOL
Members of the Press,

All these engagements are being carried out under the directive and guidance of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc(+), NPM, whose strategic policing vision has greatly strengthened our operational capacity and capabilities.

For the month of August 2026, the Command also recorded a drastic reduction in major crimes across the State. This achievement is attributable to proactive policing, intelligence-led operations, sustained community engagement, and the unflinching support of the State Government.

To sustain this tempo, the Command has maintained 24-hour patrols, targeted raids on criminal hideouts, surveillance, stop-and-search duties, and continuous engagement with traditional rulers, religious leaders and community stakeholders.
