NDC Flags Off Zonal Campaigns, Set To Inaugurate Campaign Committees
- Direct Candidates And Members To Use Existing Logo
In keeping with the election timetable released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), campaigns for the 2027 General Elections have officially commenced.
Consequently, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has directed all its candidates nationwide, particularly those contesting for the Presidential and National Assembly positions, to immediately commence local consultations, sensitisation and engagements with their constituents, as well as roll out their respective campaign activities.
This development comes as the party prepares to inaugurate its various campaign committees ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
In a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Osa Director, Esq., the NDC directed all its candidates for the Presidential, National Assembly, Governorship and State Assembly elections to liaise with party stakeholders in their respective localities, as well as the National Secretariat, in organising programmes and activities that will not only present the candidates to the electorate but also promote the ideals and message of the NDC as a party of the people and the grassroots.
“To all candidates, we are directing that they begin their familiarisation, sensitisation and consultations. Similarly, local campaign events can now continue.
“The party will soon release the composition of its campaign organs, which will be announced and inaugurated on a date to be communicated.
“We direct all candidates across the country to begin their campaigns. State chapters, local government chapters and down to the wards should organise and draw up itineraries for their own local campaigns.”
