When Rivals Become Brothers – Wadada Chooses Unity Over War

In a masterful display of statesmanship, Senator Wadada recently paid a strategic visit to Professor Hassan Liman, SAN, a fellow aspirant in the Nasarawa State gubernatorial race. This was not a mere courtesy call; it was a deliberate mission to strengthen party unity and deepen consultations ahead of the APC primary election. Senator Wadada made it clear that leadership is not about eliminating competitors but about building bridges. He publicly acknowledged Professor Liman's intellect and contributions, proving that respect, not rivalry, will define this campaign.

Their discussions were frank, constructive, and future-focused, centering on how to ensure the upcoming process strengthens rather than divides the APC. Senator Wadada reminded everyone that the greater good of Nasarawa State must always outweigh personal ambition. As he continues to engage all stakeholders, his message is unmistakable: leadership through inclusivity, service, and genuine dialogue is the only path to enduring development.

The Wadada Youth Movement calls on all our people to embrace this vision. Together, we will consolidate our strengths, preserve party unity, and march toward 2027 as one family.

“The Man Who Is Equal to the Task” — A Brief History of Ahmed Aliyu Wadada

Ahmed Aliyu Wadada is widely known in Nasarawa politics as a grassroots politician whose career has been shaped by persistence, legislative experience, and visible developmental impact. Born and raised in Keffi, Nasarawa State, he rose through the political ranks from the House of Representatives—where he served multiple terms representing Keffi/Karu/Kokona—to becoming a senator representing Nasarawa West in the National Assembly. His political journey reflects resilience. After setbacks in earlier contests and party disputes, he made a dramatic comeback in the 2023 elections, winning a senatorial seat against strong opposition—an outcome seen as a major political upset. (Wikipedia)

Developmental Footprint in Nasarawa

What truly defines Wadada’s political identity is not just elections, but the breadth of his developmental interventions across Nasarawa State.

1. Infrastructure and Community Development

Across his years in office, Wadada has been associated with:

I. Construction and renovation of schools and classrooms
II. Installation of solar streetlights in communities
III. Provision of transformers and rural electrification
IV. Construction of boreholes and water supply systems (Nasarawa Eye)

These projects directly improved living conditions, especially in rural communities often neglected in development planning.

2. Education and Human Capital
He has invested heavily in education through:

I. Building and equipping schools
Sponsoring exam fees (WAEC, NECO, JAMB) for students
II. Supporting institutional development through legislative bills (Fact Check News)
Such interventions help reduce dropout rates and expand access to education in underserved areas.

3. Healthcare Development
Wadada’s contributions to healthcare include:
I. Donation of medical equipment to multiple general hospitals
II. Support for clinic upgrades and expansion
Provision of medical outreach and services (Leadership)
These efforts strengthened healthcare delivery, particularly at the grassroots level.

4. Youth Empowerment and Employment
Perhaps one of his most impactful areas:
Securing jobs for youths in federal agencies and security services

I. Organizing skills acquisition programs for women and youths
II. Providing startup capital, tools, and vocational training (Nasarawa Eye)

This focus on empowerment has helped reduce unemployment and improve livelihoods.

5. Economic and Legislative Contributions
As a legislator, Wadada:

I. Sponsored bills aimed at institutional and economic development
II. Advocated for projects like the National Fishery Institute and development commissions
III. Played roles in attracting federal projects and investments to the state (Nasarawa Eye)

His leadership roles in committees also highlight his influence on national economic policy.

Why “Equal to the Task”?
Wadada’s political career shows a pattern: experience + delivery + grassroots connection.

1. Experience: Over two decades in legislative roles
2. Delivery: Visible projects across sectors—education, health, infrastructure
3. Connection: Strong grassroots support reflected in electoral victories

These qualities shape the perception of him as “a man equal to the task.”

If He Becomes Governor: What It Could Mean

Based on his track record, a Wadada governorship could potentially bring:

1. Scaled-up development: Expanding his constituency-level projects to statewide programs

2. Stronger human capital investment: More focus on education, skills, and employment

3. Infrastructure expansion: Rural electrification, water, and healthcare improvements across all LGAs

4. Economic growth strategy: Leveraging Nasarawa’s proximity to Abuja for industrial and investment opportunities (Nasarawa Broadcasting Service).

PROMISE FULFILLED: SEN. WADADA DONATES SHARON BUS TO NYCN NASARAWA

During the National Youth Day celebration on 5th November 2025, Sen. Wadada made a clear promise to the youths of Nasarawa State a donation of ₦5 million and a vehicle to support the activities of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Nasarawa State Chapter.

Today, that promise has been fulfilled.

A Sharon Bus has officially been delivered to the NYCN by his team, led by Hon. Bello Ramalan, who handed the keys directly to the State Chairman. This gesture is not just about donating a vehicle; it is about empowering young people, easing their movement, and strengthening youth activities across the state.

We are genuinely proud of Sen. Wadada’s consistency in matching words with action.
May this support inspire more leaders to stand with the youths.
