Hon. Dr. Jaq Mulya today joined family members, community leaders, political stakeholders and sympathizers at NKST Church, Tor Donga, to pay his last respects to Late Elder Hilega Dom (Rtd.) and commiserate with the family of Zaki Togo Adewa on the loss of his wife

Dr. Mulya was accompanied by Hon. Jonathan Anngu Zenda, House of Assembly hopeful for Katsina-Ala East, as they joined the community to honour the departed and stand in solidarity with the bereaved families during this difficult period.

The visit reflects Dr. Mulya’s commitment to standing with the people of Sankera not only in moments of celebration, but also in times of grief and sorrow.

In his condolence message, Dr. Mulya expressed heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved families and urged them to remain strong and steadfast in their faith.

He encouraged the families to continue looking unto God for comfort and strength, reminding them that while death brings separation from loved ones, the Christian faith offers hope in eternal life.

Dr. Mulya prayed that God would grant the families the fortitude to bear the loss, comfort them in this difficult period, and grant the souls of the departed eternal rest.

Another step forward for a united and inclusive Sankera. 💚

Members of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) from the Hausa community in Katsina-Ala have joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC), expressing their confidence in the party and their desire to contribute to its growth and vision for Sankera.

The new members were warmly received into the ADC family by the Leader of ADC in Sankera, Hon. Dr. Jaq Mulya, alongside the ADC Township Chairman, Comr Tanko Mudi.

The occasion was marked by enthusiasm and a strong sense of unity as the new members expressed their commitment to supporting the growth of ADC and participating actively in the political process.

In a significant demonstration of their commitment, the new members also donated an office for the use of the party, providing a permanent space to strengthen ADC's grassroots activities, organization and engagement within the township.

Hon. Dr. Jaq Mulya appreciated the new members for their decision to join the ADC family and assured them of their place in the movement.

He reiterated that Sankera belongs to all of us, and that ethnicity, religion or background should never be a barrier to participation in the political and developmental future of our constituency.

Hon. Dr. Jaq Mulya, PhD, ADC flag bearer for Sankera Federal Constituency, held a strategic consultative engagement with the Ikurav Tiev community as part of his ongoing consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The engagement was marked by a warm reception from community stakeholders, who expressed appreciation for Dr. Mulya’s decision to engage with them directly and listen to their perspectives and aspirations.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Mulya spoke about his aspiration to represent Katsina-Ala, Ukum and Logo Federal Constituency at the National Assembly and sought the community’s support, prayers, guidance and goodwill.

Hon. Dr. Jaq Mulya today joined members of the Hausa Community in Katsina-Ala to celebrate Eid Maulud, in a show of solidarity and a continued commitment to fostering inter-religious harmony, unity and peaceful coexistence across Sankera.

The occasion was marked by a warm reception as community leaders and faithful welcomed Dr. Mulya and his team with enthusiasm and goodwill.

The gathering provided an opportunity for Dr. Mulya to share in the joy of the occasion while reaffirming the importance of mutual respect, understanding and peaceful coexistence among people of different faiths and backgrounds.

He emphasized that occasions such as Eid Maulud provide an opportunity to strengthen the bonds that unite our people, regardless of ethnicity or religious affiliation.

As a demonstration of his goodwill and solidarity, Dr. Mulya also provided drinks and water for members of the community gathered for the celebration.

The visit was marked by a warm and memorable reception as elders, leaders and stakeholders of Mbagena came out to welcome Dr. Mulya and his team.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Mulya spoke about his aspiration to represent the people of Sankera at the National Assembly come 2027. He sought the wisdom, guidance, prayers and support of the elders, emphasizing that his aspiration is anchored on service, equity, unity and sustainable development for the people.

In response, the revered elders offered prayers and words of counsel, encouraging Dr. Mulya in his pursuit of public service.

Dr. Mulya expressed profound appreciation for the warm reception and the wisdom shared, assuring the Mzough that their counsel will remain an important guide as he continues his journey toward the National Assembly.

Hon. Dr. Jaq Mulya yesterday joined the Igyundunase family, relatives, friends and well-wishers at the burial ceremony of Mama Ruth Terundu Aondo Igyundunase, held at Igyundunase Village, Udam, Utange Ward, Katsina-Ala LGA.

Dr. Mulya was accompanied by Hon. Anngu Zenda, House of Assembly Hopeful for Katsina-Ala East, alongside Hon. Dooshima Uza Igyundunase, Barr. David Vaahaa, Hon. Apaadam JP, Hon. Paul Hingirapera, Hon. Terfa Ihwa amongst others.

In his condolence message, Dr. Mulya expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Mama Ruth, describing her as a woman of virtue whose life and impact extended beyond her immediate family.

Speaking from a place of personal connection, Dr. Mulya noted his longstanding relationship with the Igyundunase family, a bond he said has made him feel very much a part of the family.

“In times like this, we must take heart and look up to God for strength and comfort. Death is inevitable, but the legacy of our loved ones lives on in the lives they touched.”

He urged the bereaved family to find strength in the memories, values and legacy Mama Ruth leaves behind, while praying that God grants them the fortitude to bear the pain of her passing.

Dr. Mulya prayed for the peaceful repose of Mama Ruth Terundu Aondo Igyundunase’s soul and for God's comfort, strength and peace to remain with the family.

At a sit out in Across, Aketa Road, Off C.O.E., Katsina-Ala, Dr. Mulya engaged directly with young people, sharing his vision for a more united, secure and economically vibrant Sankera.

Speaking to the youths as leaders of today and drivers of the future, Dr. Mulya emphasized the importance of unity, economic development and security as essential pillars for building a stronger future for Katsina-Ala, Ukum and Logo Federal Constituency.

The engagement was not just about speaking, it was also about listening.

The youths shared their perspectives, concerns and aspirations, and responded positively to the vision of a more inclusive and prosperous future.

The Sankera Federal House of Representatives hopeful, Hon. Dr. Jaq Mulya has condemned in the strongest terms the recent deadly attack on the people of Mbaterem in Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State.

Dr. Mulya expressed profound sadness over the loss of innocent lives and extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, the injured, displaced persons and the entire Mabaterem community.

He described the attack as a painful reminder of the urgent security challenges confronting vulnerable communities across Sankera, stressing that the protection of lives and property must remain one of government's foremost responsibilities.

"The people of Mbaterem deserve more than condolences after lives have been lost. They deserve decisive action, justice and a sustained security response that protects their lives, homes and livelihoods.

"Every innocent life lost is a painful loss to Sankera. We must not allow insecurity to become normal in our communities.”

Dr. Mulya called on the Government and relevant security agencies to urgently strengthen security operations in affected communities, improve intelligence gathering and early-warning mechanisms, protect vulnerable populations and take necessary steps to prevent further attacks.

As a House of Representatives hopeful for Katsina-Ala, Ukum and Logo Federal Constituency, Dr. Mulya reaffirmed his commitment to using the constitutional responsibilities of the National Assembly to raise the security concerns of his constituents, advocate for effective federal intervention, exercise appropriate legislative oversight and pursue measures that strengthen the protection and wellbeing of vulnerable communities.

He further stressed that affected families and communities should receive appropriate assistance and support as they begin to recover from the tragedy.

Dr. Mulya appealed to the people of Sankera to remain calm and united, urging everyone to reject retaliation against innocent persons and allow justice to take its lawful course.

He prayed for the repose of the souls of those who lost their lives, comfort for their bereaved families, healing for the injured and protection for the people of Ukum and the wider Sankera region.

“The pain of Mbaterem community is the pain of Sankera. We stand with our people.”
