NBA Elects Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya, SAN, as 33rd President

The Nigerian Bar Association has elected Mrs. Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya, SAN, as its 33rd President.

Her victory reflects the confidence of the Bar in her leadership and marks another significant milestone for women in the legal profession.

The NBA remains a critical pillar in the defence of constitutional democracy, the rule of law, human rights, and judicial independence.

Tragedy in Shabu: Young Newlywed Killed in Gunmen Attack

There is grief in Shabu, Lafia LGA of Nasarawa State, Nigeria, following the killing of Jamilu Yahaya Attah at his home.

According to reports, unidentified gunmen attacked his residence between 11 p.m. yesterday and midnight. Jamilu was said to have been killed in a brutal manner.

The loss is especially painful as he had only recently gotten married, leaving behind his young wife and a family now in deep mourning.

Residents of Shabu are in shock, and many are calling for peace and better security to prevent such tragedies.

May Allah grant Jamilu Aljannah and give his wife, family, and loved ones the strength to bear this painful loss, Amen
