NCoS UNVEILS 2025 REVISED EDITION OF TRAINING CURRICULUM

The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has unveiled its revised edition of Training Curriculum, marking a significant milestone in the Service’s ongoing efforts to strengthen capacity building and professional standards.

The new curriculum was formally presented to the Controller-General of Corrections, Sylvester Ndidi Nwakuche, MFR, mni, and the Management Team by the Deputy Controller-General of Corrections, Olarewaju Amoran, during the maiden Council Meeting of the year.

Developed through a high-level review process, the revised curriculum is the outcome of the work of a multidisciplinary committee comprising curriculum experts, academics, and professionals drawn from the security and justice sectors. The review was undertaken to ensure that training content remains contemporary, responsive to emerging correctional challenges, and aligned with global best practices.

The updated curriculum is expected to enhance the quality of training across all cadres of the Service, strengthen professionalism, and better equip officers with the skills and knowledge required for effective correctional administration in Nigeria.
