NSIRS Executive Chairman Attends 160th Joint Revenue Board Meeting in Kaduna

The Executive Chairman of the Nasarawa State Internal Revenue Service (NSIRS), Alhaji Ibrahim Sarki Adamu, FCNA, FCTI, is participating in the ongoing 160th Joint Revenue Board (JRB) Meeting in Kaduna State.

Themed “One Year of Tax Reform: Assessing Progress and Addressing Challenges,” the meeting brings together key stakeholders in Nigeria’s revenue administration sector to assess the progress of tax reforms, share best practices, and address emerging challenges.

The gathering, attended by the Kaduna State Governor, Senator Dr. Uba Sani, CON, alongside other senior government officials and revenue administrators from across the country, underscores the importance of collaboration in strengthening Nigeria’s tax system.

The participation of the NSIRS Executive Chairman reflects his commitment to innovation, institutional collaboration, improved tax administration, voluntary compliance, and sustainable revenue growth for Nasarawa State.

Obi West ’87 Congratulates NSIRS Chairman and Confers Patronship

Earlier today, Members of Obi West ’87 officially paid a congratulatory visit to the Executive Chairman of the Nasarawa State Internal Revenue Service (NSIRS), Ibrahim Sarki Adamu, FCNA, FCTI, following his appointment.

The group congratulated the NSIRS Chairman on his new responsibility and recognised his contributions to public service and the development of Nasarawa State.
As a member of the set, the Obi West ’87 also honoured him by conferring on him the position of Patron of the Set, in recognition of his leadership, service and commitment to the progress of the state.

NSIRS Strengthens Capacity Through Strategic Partnerships

On separate occasions, the Nasarawa State Internal Revenue Service (NSIRS) engaged in strategic partnerships with Xcellent Leadership Centre, led by Babatunde Ladipo, and Nasabmus Global Limited.
The Xcellent Leadership Centre trained NSIRS staff on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Emotional Intelligence to enhance productivity, leadership and service delivery.

Similarly, Nasabmus Global Limited partnered with NSIRS on modern IGR administration, focusing on technology, data-driven revenue mobilisation and building a more predictable and sustainable revenue system beyond the ₦25.5 billion revenue frontier.

Nasarawa State Fire Service Collaborates with NSIRS on Fire Safety for Taxpayers

The Nasarawa State Fire Service collaborated with the Nasarawa State Internal Revenue Service (NSIRS) on the installation of fire routers and emergency alert systems for taxpayers, particularly shop owners across the state.

The Fire safety presented before the executive Chairman of the Service Ibrahim Sarki Adamu FCNA FCTI in his office earlier today, that the initiative is aimed at facilitating early detection, quick alarm activation and rapid response to fire incidents, thereby reducing the risk of loss of lives and property. The collaboration will also strengthen fire-safety awareness among taxpayers and support a safer business environment in Nasarawa State.

FRSC Moves to Collaborates with NSIRS to Combat Fake Number Plates

Earlier today, The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has committed to collaborate with the Nasarawa State Internal Revenue Service (NSIRS) to combat the proliferation and use of fake vehicle number plates across Nasarawa State.

The collaboration is aimed at strengthening verification and enforcement mechanisms, improving vehicle registration compliance and curbing revenue leakages associated with fake number plates.

The initiative will enhance road safety, promote compliance among vehicle owners and support the growth of Nasarawa State's Internally Generated Revenue through improved vehicle-related revenue administration.
