I was at Option 92.3 fm, alongside my brothers and friends, Dr. Yakubu Andrew and Dr Napoleon Gyobe Elias, where I discussed the achievements of my Principal, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, and his Senatorial bid while highlighting his victory in the just concluded primaries as the true will of the people.
During the discussion, I emphasized that individuals who seek to create division in our zone are enemies of democracy and enemies of the collective progress we have continued to enjoy under purposeful leadership. Politics should be about service, unity, and development, not bitterness, hatred, or division.
I made it clear that I strongly discourage religious campaigns, tribal campaigns, and any attempt to mislead our youths for selfish political interests. Our youths must not be used as instruments of division or violence. Instead, we must embrace issue-based campaigns that will unite our people and strengthen the APC family across the zone.
I further stated that as loyal members of the APC, we must work together to deliver the Renewed Hope mandate under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu while ensuring victory for all our party candidates. The focus should remain on presenting credible leaders who can genuinely represent the interests of the people and move our communities forward.
Speaking on the ongoing conversations around representation in the zone, I noted that as a representative of the Mada and Akwanga people in the Nasarawa State Executive Council, I have a responsibility to speak the truth and defend fairness. I stressed that Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule remains a proud son of Mada land whose roots, family history, and contributions to the growth of the land cannot be ignored or rewritten for political convenience.
I also maintained that political discussions should be based on facts, records, and contributions to society rather than sentiments or emotional manipulation. The people deserve mature politics that promote peace, development, unity, and progress for everyone irrespective of tribe or religion.
The overwhelming support shown during the primaries is a clear indication that the people appreciate genuine leadership and are ready to stand firmly behind leaders who have consistently delivered dividends of democracy. The victory was not imposed; it was earned through years of dedication, hard work, and visible achievements.
I appreciate the management of Option 92.3 FM, Akwanga, for providing the platform to engage with the people and share our collective vision for a stronger, united, and more progressive Nasarawa State. Together, we will continue to move forward in unity and purpose.
