His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, Governor of Nasarawa State and Visitor to the Nasarawa State University, NSUK was at the 8th Combined Convocation ceremony of the institution.

Over 32 thousand Students bagged PhDs, Masters, First Degrees and Postgraduate Diplomas.

3 Honourary Doctorate Degrees were Conferred on distinguished personalities including the President of the Republic of Tanzania, Her Excellency, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan.

The convocation coincides with the 25th anniversary of the University.

Nasarawa State Governor, His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule attended the 8th Convocation Lecture of Nasarawa State University, Keffi.

The Convocation Lecture was presented by Professor Patrick Loch Otieno (PLO) Lumumba, a renowned Kenyan lawyer, academic, and Pan-Africanist.

The topic of the lecture is on “Reimagining Africa for African Renaissance predicated on reinvigorating Africans Universities for Later Days Industrial Revolution”

Awards of honour were given to the founder of the University, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the visitor to the University Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule and others for their contributions to the growth and development of the institution.

Ahead of the Combined Convocation, Nasarawa State Governor, His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, the Visitor of Nasarawa State University joined Senator Abdullahi Adamu, founder of the Institution, Professor Attahiru Jega, Pro-Chancellor of the University, and the Chancellor, HRH. Dr. Chindo Shehu Yamusa III, as well as the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Sa'adatu Hassan Liman at the Silver Jubilee Anniversary of Nasarawa State University, Keffi.

The Silver Jubilee Lecture was presented by Engr. Dr. Umar Buba Bindir who delivered a lecture titled "From Knowledge to Wealth Creation; Path Way to Revitalizing the Tertiary Education System".

The founder of the University Senator Abdullahi Adamu was commended for his doggedness and rare courage in the face of pessimism in actualizing his vision 25 years ago.

Two books were unveiled on the occasion of Nasarawa State University 25 years Silver Jubilee Anniversary by the Governor and the visiting Patrick Lumumba from Kenya and among others.

The Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule on Thursday, joined His Royal Highness, Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad (Rtd), the 17th Emir of Lafia and Chairman, Nasarawa State Traditional Council of Chiefs as he marks his 7th year Anniversary on the throne.

The Governor while at the Emir’s Palace, prayed for many more successful years on the throne in good health.

The All Progressive Congress, APC today conducted the North Central Zonal Congress where new party leadership of the zone emerged through a peaceful, consensus and a unanimous adoption of the incumbent officials ratified through voice affirmation.

The event took place at the Late Aliyu Akwe Doma Banquet Hall in Lafia with delegates drawn from Kogi, Niger, Kwara, Plateau, Benue, Nasarawa and the Federal Capital Territory ((FCT).

Governors present at the Congress were: His Excellencies: Governor Abdullahi A. Sule of Nasarawa, Mallam Abdul Rahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara sent his deputy, Farmer Governor Umaru Mohammed Bago of Niger, Alhaji. Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi, and Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormen Alia of Benue State and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume.

Other distinguished personalities at the North Central Zonal Congress were: Senator Abdullahi Adamu, sen. Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, Sen. Joshua Dariye, four Ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, amongst others.

Whereas, the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress party was represented by Professor Abdulkarim Kana the Deputy National Secretary of the party at the congress.

On the occasion of the Eid-el-Fitr celebration, Nasarawa State Governor, His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, received Igbo leaders in Nasarawa State who paid him the traditional Sallah homage at his country home in Gudi.

The leaders expressed appreciation and commended the Governor for the developmental strides across the state, particularly the ongoing flyover projects in Keffi and Karu Local Government Areas of Nasarawa State.

Nasarawa State Governor, His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule joined Muslims faithful to perform the two raka’at Eid-el Fitr prayers in Gudi, Akwanga Local Government area of the State.

Amongst those who prayed alongside the Governor are some members of his Cabinet, Security Chiefs and government officials, political appointees and other Critical Stakeholders in the State.

The two Raka'at Eid prayers was preceded by a sermon presented by Mal. Suleiman Mohammed Barde who enjoined parents to play active roles in their children up bringing to earn Allah's reward while the two Raka'at Eid prayers was led by Mal. Idris Mohammed.

Nasarawa State Governor, His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule Performs the groundbreaking ceremony for phase one (1) construction, expansion and conversion of General Hospital Akwanga to a Specialist Hospital.

The upgrade and expansion work for the Specialist Hospital would include a Trauma Centre and a 5 Story Building with improved advance diagnostic facilities, treatment and referer services as well as minimize the need for patients to travel long distances.

There would also be modern clinical departments, in-patient and out-patients department, upgraded laboratories, imaging services and other modern essential infrastructures.

The Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule presided over the Swearing Ceremony of the newly appointed Chairman and Commissioners of Nasarawa State Electricity Regulatory Commission (NASERC).

Those sworn in were: Abubakar Bello Chairman, Engr. Muhammad Dan-Iya Dauda FNSC - Commissioner Technical Regulation (Vice Chairman), Moses A. Arigu ph,D - Commissioner Economic Regulation and Consumer Affairs Division, Engr. Ahmed Al-Mustapha Usman MNSE - Commissioner Rural Electrification Access Management, FNIPE, Ubam A. Adego JP - Commissioner Finance and Administration, Barr. Mohammed Jibril Aboki - Commissioner Legal and Licensing.

The initiative is aimed at fostering full and strategic industrialization of Nasarawa state through adequate power supply, distribution and management moving forward.

Nasarawa State Governor, His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule presided over a crucial All Progressives Congress caucus meeting ahead of the scheduled State APC Congress to unanimously fine tune formidable modalities for a hitch-free election of new State Executives that would spearhead the party to a victorious 2027 general elections.

While the caucus meeting was on, Dr. David Umbugadu was ushered in and was received at the closed doors session.

The caucus meeting was held at the Government House Council Chamber.
