Episode 26

Cali’s Pov:
Luckily, the ceilings and walls didn’t fall on Diane and I, but it did to the guards coming from all directions.

They collapsed together with them.

My powers….
I could feel them. They’re back.

“Cali….” Diane called weakly and I looked at her to see she’d transformed to her real self.

I checked the injury and discovered she was shot on the side of her tummy.

Oh God!

“Hey; you’ll be fine, okay? You’ll be fine. Come on” I said and lifted her up along with me.

She groaned and held the bleeding part and it hurt me so much.

I threw my hand over her shoulders and supported her and we started trudging together.

We walked as fast as we could
Diane pointing out directions to me.
G0sh! I just prayed she was sure.

The institute was quite big.

Suddenly, we heard more gun shots and rolled to the floor.

“Urgh!” Diane groaned and held her tummy and I crawled to where she was.

Luckily, I spotted an elevator right in front of us.

“Diane; Diane;” I tapped her.
“You need to hold on tight, okay? There’s an elevator and I’m reaching for it”.

She just nodded and I looked back at the guards who were fast approaching.

With a full force, I dragged Diane on her feet and ran towards the elevator.

The gun shots came with a mighty force, but I didn’t let it stop me as I screamed and finally jumped in with Diane.

I pressed the button for the second floor and the door closed up immediately, just at the right time.

“Oh my God!” I heard Diane grumble and turned to see her leaning back against the wall with her eyes on the floor.

I ran and knelt in front of her immediately.

“Just hold on, Diane. We’ll be out of here before you know it”I said reassuringly as I stroke her hair.

God! Please, help us get out of here.

My heart beat rapidly as the elevator kept moving and I wondered who we were gonna face out there once it landed.

Suddenly, a question flashed through my mind and I looked at Diane.

“Diane” I called, my voice coming out more cold now.
“How’s Miquel? Is….Is he safe?”

Although, she’d been weak, but I could tell she got weaker when I asked that question.

She didn’t say a word but just looked at me.

“Diane?” I called again
“Wh….What’s wrong? Where’s Miquel?”

She took in a deep breath.

“I don’t know, Cali. We couldn’t find him during the course of the mission. We have no idea what happened to him” she replied and I heard a loud bang in my head

A blaring sound cane driving in that it affected my heart.

Miquel? What happened to him?

No.

The elevator door opened immediately and Mykel’s words came driving in at the same time:

*He’s never coming back. He’s gone*

No!
No!!

That’s a lie.

Tears built up in my eyes, I’d forgotten the elevator was open.

“Cali” Diane jolted me out of my rueful thoughts and I looked at her.

“You should leave without me. I’m only slowing you down. Go on” she said and I scoffed out tears.

“What’re you saying?” I asked, holding her hair.

We heard running footsteps and I turned to see some guards running towards us.

“Cali…” She called and I looked at her.

“You came here to save me, Diane. And if we’re leaving, we leave together” I told her and stood on my feet afterwards.

I faced the direction of the armed guards and pointing my hands towards them, I let out a loud scream.

They tried aiming their guns at me, but the effect of my scream got to them first and swept them off their feet.

I ran back to Diane and helped her from the floor.

“Come on” I mumbled and started walking out with her.

We got out of the elevator, used an exit that we saw and came out to an open field.

Oh God!

How do we leave? The walls were soo tall and looked electrified and clearly, there was no way one could climb out of it.

And the gates….that was totally out of point.

The area looked dark and quiet and I bet not everyone had been alerted of my absence.

Suddenly, an idea popped into my head.

I quickly made Diane sit on the floor, then faced the wall.
Oh God! This might be the height of it.
Can I break such walls?

I took in a deep breath and pointed my hands towards the wall and immediately, let out a mighty scream.

“Arghggghhhhhhhh!”
It was so loud, I could feel my lungs ache.

But all of it didn’t matter as I found the walls crumble right in front of my very eyes.

It fell apart!!!

And there was an open space to the other side.

Oh my God!! It worked!!!

I gasped and looked at Diane and she had a weak smile on her face.

This was more than victorious.

“We did it, Diane. We’ll be out of here” I smiled happily to her and quickly helped her from the floor. .

She held onto me as usual for support and without further hesitation, we ran out through the broken space.

Oh God! I just hope they don’t come after us.

I continued running with her, struggling with the dark bushes and grasses. I didn’t even know where I was headed. The entire place was just dark.

“Hold onto me, Diane. Please” I pleaded as could feel her grip becoming too weak.

“We’re almost there” I panted.

How do we even get out of here? Where could we get a cab? Or someone?

We continued running, but suddenly, she fell off my shoulders and landed on the floor.

“Diane!” I called out and rushed to her.
Oh my God!

“I’m sorry, Cali. But I can’t make it. I can’t walk anymore. You’ll just have to go on without me” she said weakly and in faint breaths.

“No, Diane. I’m not leaving you. I’m not leaving you, okay? We’re in this together” I stated ruefully, tears streaming down my cheeks.

“Please Diane. Just hold on a little bit longer’.

She shook her head and didn’t say a word and I busted into more tears.

“I….I know what to do” I suddenly said.
“Just….stay here, okay? I’ll go get some help.

“Please, Diane. Stay here, I beg you. Keep your eyes open. I’ll be back, okay?” I told her and she nodded.

I sniffed and stood up and immediately, began running as fast as I could.
My heart was aching so bad.

First, Mykel’s brutal treatment towards me. And Diane being shot. And getting to know Miquel was missing.

Oh God! What’s happening to me?

I wept profusely and finally, I spotted the road.

“Oh my!” I panted heavily.

I found it!
I found the road!

Oh my God!

I saw a car coming at a cr@zy speed and without hesitation, I ran to the side of the road and started jumping and waving at it to stop.

God! Please, please. Just make him stop.

Tears rolled down to my neck and for Christ sake, the car stopped right in front of me.

Yes!

I whimpered and ran towards it but my eyes dimmed when I saw the driver – a familiar face that stepped out of the car.

Oh my God!

“Miquel?” I called in shock, my eyes beaming.

“Cali?” He also called in deep breaths.

No;
Please, don’t tell me I’m dreaming.

Episode 25

Miquel’s Pov:
My jaws dropped in shock as I listened to what she said.

Cali? Nowhere in the institute? Then, where could she be?

“Wh….What’re you talking about? Did you look for her?” I asked, confused. Referring to no one in particular.

“Well, we know how close you are to her. And when you went missing, we decided to send for her if she could, perhaps, have any idea of your whereabouts. We asked the guards to get her, but none of them could. She’s nowhere in the institute” Lisa replied and I felt a sharp pain I my chest.

No; Cali.

I asked her to stay indoors. Where could she be? She wouldn’t leave for any reason, right?

And stay out to this time.

“I assigned some guards at her doorpost. They should…”

“We didn’t find any guard. There was no trace at all” one of directors replied.

No; no. Mykel.

Immediately, I fred from their grasp and turned to open the car.

“Miquel. Hey; where are you going?” Lisa asked, but I didn’t reply her as I got into the car and ignited the engines.

It started without stress and took off, driving on the highest speed.

Cali’s Pov:
I jumped out of the bed immediately, rage eating me up.

The b**h! How dare she show her face to me.

“You animal!” I gnashed my teeth.
“How dare you? How dare you show your ugly face to me?”

I made to grab her hair, but she moved away from me.

“Calm down, Cali. Its me. Its Diane. This isn’t Nina, okay?” She said in a whispering tone and I flinched.
Huh?

She closed her eyes and instantly, transformed to Diane.

“D….Diane?” I called.

“Yes,,Cali. Its me and we don’t have much time. I just got to know about Nina being the spy less than an hour ago. I overheard her making a phone call and got to know she aided the Black Diãmônds in your abduction.

“She tried to confess me, but I didn’t make it easy for her as we got involved in a heavy fight. Luckily, I was able to knock her out, leaving her really unconscious.

“A truck for picking up trash was meant to carry her along when they arrive, and knowing all these, I decided to use it and come here so I could save you.

“I’d left her phone with her so, just in case someone finds her, she’d be implicated with it and be held prisoner. We don’t have much time, Cali. We need to leave. Now. Look into my eyes and you’ll see I’m telling the truth” she narrated enthusiastically and in a hurry, and all I could do was stare like a bloated goat.
The shock was just excess for me already.

But somehow, I believed her.

“I’m not so sure if I’m a good actress, but..I really hope the guards believed me when I acted like Nina. How’re you Cali? Were you severely hurt?” She asked and I felt a sharp pain in my chest.

I lowered my head and released a tear.

“Oh my God! Cali…” She hushed.
“What happened to you?”

I couldn’t say a word as I just wept silently.
The pains came driving in again

“Please, Diane. Just get me out of here if its possible” I said tearfully and she pulled me in a very brief hug.

We unlocked from the hug and headed for the door.

“Wait” she halted.
“I need to change to Nina. For safety purpose” .

I nodded and she closed her eyes and transformed to Nina again.
Creepy.

“Make sure you stay behind me, okay? And move when I tell you to” she said and I just nodded in agreement.
It wasn’t like I had a choice.

She opened the door slowly and creepily, looked left and right, then turned back to me.

“Come on” she whispered and I followed her out of the room.

I gasped when I found two boys lying on the floor, unconscious.
Huh? Did she really knock them out?

Aside them, the passage was clean and empty and we both started scuttling away, taking fast short steps.

Oh God! Is it really possible to get out of here?

It got to a place where we heard footsteps and we quickly ran and hid behind some cartoons.

I could feel my heart beating rapidly.

The foot sounds died off and we proceeded.

“Do you even know the way out of here?” I whispered.

“Well, I think so. One of the boys had led me to the room” she replied and I kept mute.

We continued running but finally, got busted.

“Nina?” We heard her name from behind and both stop walking.

Oh my God!

“Don’t turn around, Cali” she whispered only to my hearing as the footsteps came closer

I breathed heavily and she turned around to face the person.

“Nina?” He called again.
“When did you arrive?”

“Uh….just a while ago. What’s up?” She replied, trying so hard to be calm.

“Yeah..I’m cool. Who’s that with you, huh?” He asked and I felt my entire system turn.

Holy Molly! I wish this was a dream.
The whole time, my back was turned against the boy.

“She….she’s one of the maids. Come on, maids. We don’t have much time” she said quickly and signalled me to follow her.

“Nina!” His cold voice stopped us again.

We both stopped walking but didn’t turn to look at him.

“I really want to see the maid”.

I hyperventilated as I felt him coming closer.

He walked and finally got to where I was and right there, I felt his hand on my shoulder.

Immediately, I turned to look at him with a heavy punch landing on his nose.

“Urgh!!” I groaned as I felt the effect of the punch on my fist.

He moaned and held his nose and I kicked him right there – betwixt his thighs.

“Come on, Cali!” Diane yelled and we started running.

Yeah – this time around, we ran.
“The banshee has escaped!!” The animal yelled from behind and Diane and I fastened our pace.

We ran pass so many passages, taking different corners and before you knew it, uncountable guards started chasing after us from different angles.

“Hurry, Cali!” Diane said as she ran ahead of me.

And I tried my best to do same.

Suddenly, there was a gunshot and I froze when I saw Diane tripping to the floor.

Oh my God!

My eyes dilated in shock and looked like they were gonna pop out of their sockets.

My mouth dropped open and I ran to her immediately, just before she’d reach the floor.

“Diane??” I called, placing her head on my legs.

More gun shots filled the air and I felt an uncontrollable pile occupy my chest.

With an angry force, I looked up at the ceiling and screamed.

“Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!”

I couldn’t differentiate the sounds, but instantly, I felt the walls and ceilings crumble.

They all collapsed.

Episode 24

Nina’s Pov:
Thank goodness I was able to get away from Diane. I can’t believe she almost delayed me.

I got out to the garbage site, but couldn’t find the truck yet.
D@mn it! Don’t tell me they’ve left already. Or they were yet to arrive?

I moved to an empty and quiet corner and brought my phone out of my bag.

Oh! There was actually a missed call from him.

I quickly dialed it and thankfully, he picked at the second beep.

“Hey! Where the h*ell did you keep your phone?” He asked grumpily.

“It was on silent, okay? Where are you, Davis? I’m on track already” I said impatiently.
“Yeah, stay put. The truck is already on its way. As soon as its putting the dirt in, you jump in as well”

“Okay. But…how close are they? I really need to get out of here already. It won’t be long before they discover Cali’s missing and they might trace investigate and discover I had a hand in it. I really need to get out of here, please” I said desperately.
I was d@mn so scared and nervous.

“Don’t worry, okay? They’ll be there soon” he said and ended the call.
G0sh!

I quickly fixed the phone into my bag and took in a deep breath.

Oh! Please, I really hope this works. I just wanna leave this place.

“Nina?” I suddenly heard my name and froze at the spot.
No.

I turned and caught Diane standing and staring at me with a confused look.

Oh my God!

“You?” She shirked.

There was chaos in the big hall as the board of directors held the meeting.

“How the h*ell did things go wrong??? Miquel was our back up plan. What happened to him?” The manager asked after hitting the table angrily.

“Neither of us have any idea, sir. He just seemed to vanish and hasn’t returned to the institute either” one of the female directors replied.
The tension in the room was just excess.

“Could he be in danger? Its so unusual for Miquel to abandon the mission. He’d never do that”

“Yeah….So, where the f**k is he?? We lost another mission to those animals. What’s happening???” The manager yelled and kicked the table this time around.

Suddenly, a staff came running in.

“Sir! Sir!” She panted heavily and all eyes darted to her direction.

She panted like a lizard being chased.

“What is it, Mona?” One of the female directors asked.

“Its…..its Miquel. He’s back! He just arrived” she stated heavily and all eyes beamed.

“Whaat?”

Without hesitation, they ran out to him – including the overall manager. It was more like the return of Christ.

They rushed after the staff who were taking them to the location and finally, they got there and found him beside a car, his hand over his tummy.

He looked weak.

“Miquel!!” One of the female directors called and ran to hold him.

Students had gathered all over like a crusade was taking place. Although, they maintained a good distance.
“Miquel! Miquel! Hey; are you alright? What happened to you?” The female director holding him asked.
The others had gotten close as well.

“I’m fine” he said in deep breaths.
‘I need to go to my room first’.

He tried walking away, but was held back by the director.

“Are you after the banshee?” She asked and he stopped to look and nod.

“She’s nowhere in the institute” the manager said and his eyes dropped open in shock.

Cali’s Pov:
I wept on the bed with my hands and legs huddled together; the bedhseet was drawn to cover my legs, although I still had my skirt on.

Mykel stood emotionlessly in front of the mirror as he fixed his buttons.

He acted like nothing had happened and there wasn’t a lady crying on his bed.

When he was done with the buttons, he brushed his hair, then turned to look at me.

“Will you stop quivering already? Its not like you’re dead or something” he said with an eye roll as he started coming closer to me.

I kept sniveling as the pains were unbearable. I still couldn’t believe he r***d me.

He got to the bed and leaned in front of me.

“You’re a monster” I whimpered, tears dripping from my eyes which were staring at the floor.

He scoffed.

“I love it when I’m a monster, you know?” He said with pride, making my anger increase.

He lifted his hand to my face and waved the strands of hair that rested on it.

“The real fun’s yet to begin” he muttered.

I moved my face away from his hand.

“You’ll pay for this” I said loathefully and he chuckled and left the bed.

“See you when I’m back” he winked at me and walked out of the room.

I buried my face on my legs and wept more bitterly.
How could this happen to me? How? What have I done to deserve this?

More agonizing tears streaked my face, recalling how he used me. I felt like ripping my own body off to get rid of his touch.

Shortly, I heard the door open and panicked, wondering why he was back so soon.

I lifted my head to have a look and my heart skipped when I discovered it was Nina.

Nina???

Episode 23

Diane’s Pov:
Isn’t that a phone?

I looked at Nina in the face and with the look of things, she had no idea I was aware of it.

It was just vibrating lowly and since the bag was touching my legs, I guessed I was the only one who could feel it.

But….what would Nina be doing with a phone?

Perhaps…I’m feeling the wrong thing. But, its really vibrating like a phone!

I kept wondering as she dragged me along and finally, we got to the entrance of my room.

“Uh…thank you so much, Nina. I’ll just go in and rest now” I told her, sounding really tired.

“Okay, sure. Take care of yourself, okay? I’ll come check up on you later” she replied and scurried off without hesitance.

I stood by the door and watched her vanish.

Why’s she acting cranky, huh? And could there really be a phone in her bag?

Cali’s Pov:
“Please….just let me go. I don’t wanna be here” I said fearfully as I pressed my back against the door.

He ticked his tongue and started coming towards me.

“You’re really so stubborn, huh? How was Miquel able to cope with you?” He asked.

My powers….why couldn’t I feel them? What have they done to me?

He got so close to me and I tried running away from the door, but he was fast enough to grip my hand and pull me back.

“Where could you possibly go, Cali? There’s no way you’re leaving this place.

“And now….talking about what I want from you; I think it’s time” he smirked and started pulling me towards the bed.

“No! No! Please, let me go. Let me go!!” I yelled and tried fighting with his hand, but it was fruitless.

We got to the point where the fork he had injured me with was lying on the floor and quickly, I grabbed it from the floor and drove it right into his back.

“Urgh!” He gave a brief grunt and I was able to free my hand from his.

I ran to the door again and tried opening it, but it was d@mn useless.

“Help me!” I cried and slapped my hands against the door.

I didn’t even know what I was doing. How do I think someone would really show up to save me?

Either ways, I continued hitting the door desperately and in tears, but not for long as Mykel caught up with me and turned me away from the door to face me.

Before I could say a word, he landed a heavy slap on my cheek that brought me to my knees.

“Ahh”, I winced and held the cheek.

“You really think you can play brave, huh?” He asked angrily and grabbed my hair, lifting me up with it.

“No! Please” I cried and tried struggling with him, but it didn’t work as he dragged me roughly to the bed and pushed me on it.

Oh my God!
He can’t do this to me.

No; he can’t.

He knelt in front of me on the bed and made sure I couldn’t run away from his grasp.

“Please, don’t do this. Please” I begged but they fell on deaf ears as he started un******ng.
He took off his shirt and my eyes dimmed when I discovered he was having almost the same tatt0o as Miquel’s

He unbuckled his belt and in the process, I tried smuggling my way out of him, but he pinned me down and sl@pped me again.

“Ahh”

“You’re only causing more pains to yourself, Cali”, he said in an impatient voice and slided his fngers into my sk!rt.

“No! Please. I’m begging you. Don’t do this. I can’t take it. Please” I whimpered with my head moving sideways.

“I’m sorry,,Cali. But I made a promise to Miquel. And I always keep my promises” he replied and got hold of my p*nt.

‘No!!” I shrieked and tried fighting him with my nails.

I was able to give him a scratch on his chest, but it didn’t seem to have much effect on him as he successfully ripped my p*nt off.

“No!! Stop it, please. Please, I’m begging you!” I wept as I felt my whole world shattering.

“What’s so special about it, huh?” He mocked.
“Hasn’t Miquel been down there before?”

He used his left hand to pin my both hands above my head, while he used the other to lift my sk!rt, giving him access to my exposed area.
How could he be this powerful, huh?

“Please….” Was all I could say as I didn’t know what else to do.
He just rendered me vulnerable.

“Stay calm..and it’ll all be over soon” he stated and spread my l*egs apart, coming fully in between them.

“I’m begging you, please. Don’t do this. Don’t do this to me” I cried weakly, shaking my head vigorously.

I couldn’t see what was going on down there, but soon, I felt his hard erction against my h0neyp0t.

“No?!!” I screamed with so much fright, but his grip around me was firm, I couldn’t go free from it.

“Let me go!!” I yelled more and struggled.

Hot tears were already rolling down to my neck.

How can this happen to me, huh?
How??

“Relax, Cali. I’ll be gentle” he said grimly and finally pushed his dck into me.

Oh my gawd!

“No!!!!! Please! Just stop it. Please” I cried profusely.
My voice was beginning to get weak.

Since he was already inside of me, his both hands were free and he used them to pin my own hands above my head so I don’t move.
“Mykel please…..” I whimpered.

He gr0aned a little as he pushed himself deeper and started thru$ting slowly.

Oh my God!
This is really happening to me.

I tapped my head on the bed as excruc!ating pa!ns occupied my entire system.

They weren’t just pains from S*x, but pains from being r@ped and hurt.

How could he do this to me?

He increased his pace gradually and I couldn’t believe someone else was drilling me this way; someone aside Miquel. Someone I knew nothing about.

That was the worst pain.

“I hate you” I mumbled weakly as my eyes shut in tears.

I had stopped struggling cause I knew the deed had already been done.
I’d just been used by a worthless guy.

Miquel’s Pov:
I felt so restless.

My entire being was crumbling and getting more weak.

I needed to get out of here. I needed to see Cali by all means. I needed to know what was happening.

I couldn’t just stay in here.

“Son”, I heard one of the coordinates call.

Yeah, I could only hear cause there was still a blindfold over my eyes.

I panted heavily and didn’t say a word.
I only wish the chains weren’t poisoned.

“Don’t worry, Miquel. We’ll be home soon enough, okay? And as soon as you sit on the throne, all these would be over” .
She rubbed my hair gently as she spoke.

“I’ll never go voluntarily with you to Korea” I said.
“And you know it’s gonna be impossible taking me all the way, forcefully. Its only going to be a disaster”.

She kept mute for a few seconds.

“Don’t worry, son. The ship will be here soon and we’ll definitely leave together. It might be difficult, yes. But we’ll cross the bridge”.she said hopefully and stopped touching my hair.

Next, I heard footsteps and figured she was walking away.

“We can make a deal” I said out loud and the footsteps stopped.

D@mn it! I wasn’t thinking straight. I just needed a way to get out of here.
I needed a way to see Cali.

“What deal are you talking about?” She asked and I took in a deep breath.
A very deep breath.

“I’ll go with you to Korea – willingly” I began.
“But only on one condition”.

Episode 22

Cali’s Pov:
The boys gripped me immediately and started walking out of the room with me.

“No. Let me go” I said feebly and tried struggling with them, but their grip around me was too strong and firm.

Then, I tried using my powers, but…..

No; what just happened? Why couldn’t I feel my powers anymore?

I panicked, but the boys didn’t seem to care as they continued walking away with me, taking the same route Mykel was taking.

Finally, we got to a room and they pushed me in. It was a complete dazzling bedroom and Mykel was there as well.

The boys left after arriving with me and I was left alone with Mykel.

G0sh! I felt so scared.
How do I get out of here? And where could Miquel be?

Mykel turned to look at me, then walked over to the small dining there in the room.

“Come on, Cali. Have a seat” he said, but I didn’t make a move.

He uncovered the plates on the table and took up his cutleries.

“Why are you keeping me here?” I forced myself to ask.

“What do you want from me?”

He acted mute and started eating from one of the numerous dishes.

“Miquel will come for me soon. You should let me go while you still can” I said and gulped nervously and he laughed.

“Poor Cali” he sighed.
“I hate to be the bearer of this news but, Miquel’s never coming back, love. He’s gone”.

My brows arched as I stared at him in confusion. What’s he talking about?

He chuckled and looked down at his meal.

“Come on, Cali. Your meal’s getting cold” he stated casually.

“Wh….What’re you talking about? What do you mean he’s gone?” I asked in ultimate confusion and immediately, he threw his fork at me, in a way it landed straight into my arm.

“Arghhh” I yelped in pains and held my bleeding arm with the other.

Oh my God!

“Stop making me repeat myself, Cali. Now, for the last time, come and have a seat” he said icily, but I didn’t move as hurtful tears streamed down my cheeks.

I held the fork and going through so much pains, I pulled it out of my arm.

I winced and threw the stained fork on the floor, then stared at him.
He had an ev!l grin on his face.

What have I gotten into?
Immediately, I turned around and ran for the door.
Holy Christ. Please,help me.

I got to the door and tried opening it, but disappointedly, it wouldn’t open up.

I turned the k**b tiredlessly, but it didn’t open up.

Then, I turned to look at him and he was already on his feet.

Diane’s Pov:
The entire city was chaotic as students were being rushed to the clinic. Many moved around with big injuries on one part of them – just like me.

I had a big cut on my left arm. But I decided not to go to the clinic for it. The mission was a failure.

Rumors were going around that Miquel was missing. I mean..we couldn’t find him during the course of the mission. Where could he be?

I managed to drag my feet along and thankfully, I spotted Nina.

“Hey! Nina! Nina!” I called out to her and thank goodness she heard me and turned to my direction.

She seemed to be in haste.

“Di….Diane” she stuttered and rushed over.
She had a bag with her.

“Hey; Wat’s up? You….you’re injured?” She asked and I just nodded, breathing heavily.

“Please, help me. Take me to my room” I said weakly, but the look on her face….she seemed reluctant.

“Um….actually, I was on my way to….I was actually in a hurry, Diane. I have to do something” she bubbled, making me amused.

“Are you kidding me,Nina? I’m in pains and you’re thinking of something else?” I asked and she sighed uncomfortably.

“O…..okay. Come on”.

She wrapped her hand around my shoulder and started aiding me to walk.

Ah! At least, this is better.

Gosh! My waist…

My legs…everywhere fcking place was hurting like h*ell.

“Sorry about the wounds” Nina said as we trudged along and I murdered a *thank you*

I felt so weak.

Suddenly, I heard a strange sound…like the sound of something vibrating.

And it was coming from Nina’s bag.

Miquel’s Pov:
There was total darkness; nothing but darkness.

I groaned and felt so heavy as I forced my heavy eyes open.

There was no sound, only faint echoes.

Where was I? And why couldn’t I see a thing? Why was there nothing but darkness even with my eyes opened?

Hold on; the coordinates.

I could remember seeing them. And next, there was bleeding and then, a blackout.

What happened? Did they really succeed?

“He’s awake” I suddenly heard a faint voice say and next, something was taken off my eyes and I realized I’d been blindfolded the whole time.

I could finally see the things around me and….good f**k; I was chained to a bed with the coordinates around me.

The mission….what happened with it?

“Miquel” one of them called and came close.
I could recognize her from the palace.

“How’re you feeling, son?”

“I’m not your son. What am I doing here? Get these chains off me” I gritted angrily and tried standing up.

But there was something strange. I couldn’t feel my powers.

“Don’t stress yourself, Miquel. The chains are suppressing your powers so you don’t use it against us” another said.

“We’re your people, Miquel. We’re one. And we’re here to take you home. Your throne awaits you”.

Mother f**ker.

“I’m not interested in the throne. I have no dealing with it. So, let me go”,I rasped impatiently.

D@mn it! I wish there was a way I could get these chains off my body.

“Stop lying to yourself, Miquel. You’re the eldest son and the heir apparent to the throne. And it’s only right you…”

“Find another King for the throne. I’m not interested in the same throne that led to the death of my parents. Just let me go. I’ve got important things to do”. I interrupted rashly , and a little weakly.

The chains were having its own effect on me.

“We’re sorry, Miquel. But we’re never letting you go” the eldest among them said and signalled on the other to blindfold me again.

“You’re making a mistake” I said feebly, shaking my head.

They lifted the blindfold to my face and finally covered my eyes.

Cali.

Where’s she? I needed to see her.

I needed to be with her.

Cali’s Pov:
I’d woken up on a cold tied floor, my head feeling so muzzy.

Ouch! Why does it hurt so much?

I struggled to sit up slowly and recall what’d happened.

Nina!

She was in my room. And….made those guards attack me.

What could this mean? Like….why would she make the guards attack me?

And where was I?

Suddenly, the door opened and two strange boys walked in.

I pinned myself closer to the wall and next, someone else showed up.

Wait…..

Isn’t this…..

Isn’t this Mykel??

The same guy that’d drawn a bridge on my hand???

Of course! He’s the one.

Is he….
Hold on;

Where was I?

No; it can’t be. Its not possible.

“Cali Jenner” he called calmly as he came closer and squatted in front of me.

I stared at him in shock.

“How’re you feeling? Remember me?” He asked and touched the side of my face. But I couldn’t respond.

What am I doing here? And Nina…
Could it be possible she’d helped them?

Oh God! This isn’t possible. Nina….she’d never do such a thing.
She…..she was my friend.

“Hey” the guy in front of me cooed and lifted my cheek.

There was a striking resemblance between him and Miquel.

“What do you want from me?” I asked in a wavering tone.
I was d@mn scared.

“Oh, Cali” he smiled.
“There are so many things I want from you”.

He touched my cheeks and stood up, then turned to the boys beside him.

“Bring her to my room” he ordered them and walked out.
