The Parastatals Monitoring Office held its 2026 Half-Year Parastatals Revenue Generating Meeting (PARGEM) with CEOs and Heads of Finance & Accounts of revenue-generating Parastatals, Agencies and Government-Owned Companies across Lagos State.

The meeting was chaired by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Parastatals Monitoring, Mr. Ibrahim Babajide Obanikoro, with the Permanent Secretary, PMO, Dr. Olugbemiga Aina, and the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Mr. Mahmud Tajudeen Alao, in attendance.

The session reviewed mid-year financial outcomes and agency performance, reaffirming PMO’s commitment to accountability, effective monitoring and financial sustainability across Lagos State.

*PMO HOLDS ONE-DAY TRAINING ON WORK ETHICS FOR JUNIOR STAFF*

The Parastatals Monitoring Office (PMO) has organised a One-Day Training Programme for its Junior Staff to reinforce the values of professionalism, integrity, accountability, and ethical conduct in the workplace.

The training held at the conference room of the Office on the 6th of August, 2026 highlighted the critical role junior staff play in ensuring effective documentation, accurate record-keeping, confidentiality, teamwork, and quality service delivery. Participants were also encouraged to embrace a mindset of continuous improvement and uphold the highest standards of public service.

PMO remains committed to strengthening workforce capacity and promoting excellence across the Lagos State Public Service.

PMO ORGANISES ONE-DAY TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR OFFICERS ON GRADE LEVELS 07–14

The Parastatals Monitoring Office (PMO) has organised a One-Day Training Programme for officers on Grade Levels 07–14 at the LCCI Conference & Exhibition Centre, Ikeja, with the theme: “Time Management and Communication Skills for Productivity.”

In his welcome address, the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Olugbemiga Ayoola Aina, described effective time management and communication as indispensable skills for enhancing productivity and service delivery in the Public Service.

He noted that how officers utilise their time and communicate in the workplace significantly influences individual performance, strengthens teamwork, and contributes to the achievement of organisational goals.

Throughout the training, participants were equipped with practical strategies and workplace techniques to manage their time more effectively, communicate with clarity and professionalism, enhance collaboration, and improve productivity in the discharge of their duties.

The training concluded on a high note, with participants poised to apply the practical strategies acquired to enhance workplace effectiveness, strengthen professional relationships and contribute to a more productive Public Service.

PMO ORGANISES ONE-DAY TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR DIRECTORS OF THE OFFICE

The Parastatals Monitoring Office (PMO), has organised a One-Day Training Programme for its Directors at the LCCI Conference & Exhibition Centre, Ikeja, with the theme: "Human Resource Management in the Age of Artificial Intelligence."

In his welcome address, the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Olugbemiga Aina, emphasised that Artificial Intelligence is transforming the world of work and that public sector leaders must embrace innovation while upholding the values of professionalism, integrity, accountability and ethical leadership.

He noted that AI presents significant opportunities to strengthen workforce planning, improve decision-making, enhance staff development and promote more efficient service delivery across Parastatals, Agencies and Government-Owned Companies.

Dr. Aina encouraged participants to actively engage in the knowledge-sharing sessions and reaffirmed the Office's commitment to continuous capacity building as a strategic tool for improving institutional effectiveness and supporting the Lagos State Government's vision of a more efficient, responsive and globally competitive Public Service.

PMO Trains Heads of Administration and HR on Improving Performance Strategies

The Parastatals Monitoring Office (PMO), Lagos State, today organised a One-Day Knowledge-Sharing Session on Improving Performance Strategies (IPS) for Heads of Administration, Human Resources, and senior management officers from Parastatals, Agencies, and Government-Owned Companies.

Speaking at the event, the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Olugbemiga Ayoola Aina, emphasised that the training reflects the Office's commitment to strengthening institutional excellence, enhancing governance, and building capacity for improved service delivery across the Lagos State Public Service.

Participants were equipped with practical strategies on performance management, team effectiveness, leadership, communication, conflict resolution, staff development, and the use of measurable performance indicators to drive organisational success.

The session also provided an opportunity for participants to exchange ideas, share best practices, and explore innovative approaches to improving productivity and achieving government objectives.
