Earlier today, I joined the Executive Chairman of Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government, Prince Usman Akanbi Hamzat, who was ably represented by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Oluwatoyin Awoniyi-Akerele, at the official flag-off of the 2026 World Breastfeeding Week.

The event was organized to promote maternal and child health across Ifako-Ijaiye LGA, with a focus on sensitizing mothers on the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding and proper infant nutrition.

This initiative reflects the administration’s commitment to improving health standards at the grassroots and ensuring that mothers and children in Ifako-Ijaiye receive the support they need to thrive.

Today, I had the privilege of joining my colleagues, the Secretaries to the Local Governments/LCDAs across Lagos State, for an important engagement with our mother, the Secretary to the Lagos State Government (SSG), Barr. ‘Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin.

The meeting of the was insightful and purposeful. It gave us the platform to deliberate on key issues affecting governance, service delivery, and grassroots development in all 57 councils.

It was encouraging to rub minds with fellow progressives and development partners. The shared commitment to the THEMES+ Agenda and the growth of our communities was evident in every discussion.

I am inspired and re-energized. Together, we will continue to align with the vision of Mr. Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, to deliver good governance that truly touches lives at the grassroots.

For over 21 years and 6 days, our friendship has remained firm, built on trust, loyalty, mutual respect, and shared progressive ideals. You are not just a friend; you are a brother and a dependable ally whose sincerity and commitment I deeply value.

Your journey in politics has been defined by hard work, discipline, courage, and an unwavering commitment to the progressive cause. As a focused leader, accomplished businessman, and influential grassroots mobilizer, you have continued to distinguish yourself through selfless service, humility, and dedication to the growth of our party.
