3rd July, 2026.
It is with profound gratitude to Almighty Allah (SWT) that I humbly receive the Royal pronouncement of His Royal Majesty, , reaffirming my position as the substantive Iye-Igala, Lagos State.
I wish to express my deepest appreciation to His Royal Majesty, the Attah Igala and President of the Kogi State Council of Chiefs and Traditional Rulers, as well as the distinguished members of the Council, for their wisdom, courage, impartiality and unwavering commitment to justice in the thoughtful, equitable and amicable resolution of the Iye-Igala Chieftaincy matter in Lagos State.
The decision of the Royal Council is a reaffirmation of the sanctity of our revered traditional institution, the supremacy of due process, and the enduring values of truth, justice, equity and fairness upon which the Igala Kingdom has stood for generations.
Today, I do not regard this as a personal victory. Rather, it is a victory for every Igala son and daughter in Lagos State. Indeed, it is a victory for the entire Igala nation across Nigeria and throughout the world. It is a victory for justice over misunderstanding, for unity over division, and for peace over discord.
The Royal Council's resolution has provided a unique opportunity for healing and reconciliation. I firmly believe that it will usher in a new era of peace, mutual respect, harmony and purposeful cooperation among all Igala sons and daughters resident in Lagos State.
As the Iye-Igala and mother of all Igala sons and daughters in Lagos State, I extend my hand of fellowship, love and reconciliation to every member of our great community, irrespective of past differences. I harbour no bitterness against anyone. This is a time to heal, to forgive, to reconcile and to move forward together as one united family under our revered traditional institution.
I therefore earnestly call on every Igala son and daughter, every elder, every traditional title holder, every woman, every youth and every stakeholder within our community, both in Lagos State and across the globe, to join hands with me in building a stronger, more united and more progressive Igala Community founded on peace, mutual respect, inclusiveness and selfless service.
History will judge us, not by the disagreements we experienced, but by the wisdom with which we chose unity over division and the collective legacy we leave for generations yet unborn.
I equally express my profound appreciation to all traditional rulers, community leaders, elders, women, youths, friends and well-wishers whose prayers, encouragement and steadfast belief in justice sustained me throughout this period. Your support remains deeply appreciated, and I pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) rewards each and every one of you abundantly.
I reaffirm my unwavering commitment to serve every member of the Igala Community in Lagos State with humility, fairness, compassion, integrity and absolute dedication, without fear or favour. My doors shall remain open to all, for leadership is most meaningful when it promotes unity, protects the dignity of every individual and advances the collective interest of the people.
Finally, I pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) continues to bless His Royal Majesty, the Attah Igala, with long life, excellent health, divine wisdom and enduring strength as he continues to lead the Igala Kingdom with distinction. May Allah bless the Igala Kingdom, preserve our rich cultural heritage and grant all Igala sons and daughters enduring peace, unity, progress and prosperity.
Together, let us write a new chapter of hope, reconciliation and shared progress. Together, let us strengthen the bonds that unite us. Together, let us build an Igala Community in Lagos State that will remain a shining example of unity, dignity and excellence for generations to come.
Long Live the Attah Igala.
Long Live the Igala Kingdom.
Long Live the Igala Community in Lagos State.
Long Live Lagos State.
Long Live Kogi State.
