Title: “The Housemaid’s Secret”
I was just a housemaid when I entered the Morales mansion. Quiet, invisible — a shadow moving through rooms nobody noticed. Madam treated me with coldness, always correcting, always watching. But I wasn’t stupid. I watched her, too.
She had a routine. Breakfast alone. Locked doors. Whispered phone calls. And that guest room — always off-limits.
One night, she went out to a gala. I took her spare keys and entered the forbidden room.
There, chained to a bed… was a boy. Pale. Thin. Eyes like his were full of stories.
He looked at me and whispered, “Are you here to help me?”
I froze. I wanted to scream. But instead, I asked, “Who are you?”
He said, “I’m her son.”
Son? Madam told everyone her only child died ten years ago in a fire. His photo sat above the fireplace, with candles lit every anniversary.
He said she locked him here ever since he told her what his father did to him. Said he was “possessed,” “evil,” that no one would believe him.
I didn’t sleep that night. I couldn’t.
So the next morning, I served Madam her coffee with a calm smile — and a dose of truth serum I stole from her own cabinet. She used it on guests, sometimes. I’d seen her.
I turned on my phone and asked, “Tell me about your son, ma’am.”
She blinked. Smiled.
Then started talking.
Everything.
And I recorded it all.
That evening, the news broke: “Socialite Madam Morales Arrested for Child Torture and Psychological Abuse.”
She looked at me as the police dragged her out.
I only said, “I was just the housemaid. You never noticed I was listening.”
