NBRP closes successful AGM and National Conference on Reading in Abuja
The frontline grouping of Book Clubs and Reading Promoters in Nigeria, NBRP has successfully rounded off it's 2025 AGM and National Conference on Reading at the TETFUND Auditorium, Maitama, Abuja.
The session which took place on September 25 is the fifth in the series since the birth of the organisation in February 2020.
Here are photos from the event which also recorded the close of the tenure of the founding Executive of the group.
The event was chaired by the illustrious bibliophile, Professor Udenta Udenta and witnessed among other activities, a keynote address by the immediate past President of the Nigerian Library Association, Dr Dominic Omokaro and the presentation of Champions of Reading Awards to the National Librarian and CEO of the National Library of Nigeria, Professor Chinwe Veronica Anunobi and the Founder, Literary Authors Multipurpose Cooperative Society of Nigeria, Mrs Awele Ilusanmi.
Ibadan was also picked as the 2026 host of the annual Nigerian National Book City series. Previous book cities cities have been Uyo, Lagos, Yenagoa and Abuja.
